Hey, I havnt posted for a while, ive went to Coachella this weekend so Ive been excited about that up until now, its Bonnaroo all the way from here though!!!
oh my goodnesss, let the Roo goodness begin! thanks for inviting me over here those who directed me into hands of the Inforoo Camp...! my first time, and flying solo, so it sure would be nice to set up camp with some kind folks! so psyched. wooooooooooooooooooo.
So, question. There approximately 39575238450 people on that list of camp inforoo, but how many of them do we think will actually camp with us? And, on that note, how big was camp inforoo last year? At the rate we are going, we are going to need all of tent-only!
This is very intriguing material for my podcast... especially since I want to get the FULL Bonnaroo experience. Yes, it's my FIRST Bonnaroo. I figured that my first time at the festival should be all out press style! Hope that any of you partiers wouldn't mind being interviewed by me... Just PLEASE make sure I don't drop my field recorder in any beer/shots... It's expensive (and kinda vital to what I'm doing there)!!! Anyone that's interested in getting interviewed, message me on here or e-mail me at Moe@TheMoeTrain.com. I'm def going to make my way to the both Inforoo parties on the VIP side as well as the "regular" (lol) campsite. Sounds like you guys and gals know how to get down! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Well, I am going to start gathering phone #'s from people next week so we can start a phone list . I am also going to see when people are going to show up so we can save spots for other Inforoosters, but I may wait another week for that, we'll see.As far how many will actually show, that is hard to tell. We had a few people join us last year that weren't on the list, but it was all good because the more the merrier.
I think last year we had somewhere in between 30-40 people in the group if I had to guess
Odds are I'll be in BFE the night before or arriving with the first shuttle and trekking to camp only as soon as I wake/get there. I can definately help save space for some folks

for what it is worth.....teine saved our a$$ a couple of years ago (04? or '05??) with gate check info......so that inforoo buddy list can be worth its weight in gold when you least expect it...... ;D
btw.....sorry for calling you so much that day dude.....
We have a group of 4 good friends who've done mulitiple show trips (Gorge, Red Rocks, all over the country, etc.) but will be experiencing 'Roo for the first time. Regardless of where we park we're gonna end up in camping only.
I've mostly lurked here all year but I have 2 questions.
1. Can we set up in the vicinity of Camp Inforoo? I'd love to hang w/everyone.
2. What about jamming in tent only? We'll have 2 guitars and a djembe. How is the general consensus about that?

To answer your questions:
1. Yes 2. Yes I have a feeling the camp with turn into a musical jamboree this year
Ok, so here's my game plan. Rooismagical (A.K.A. Party Sgt.) and I will arrive early Thursday morning. We are supposed to be meeting up with some of my friends who are supposed to be meeting up with some of thier friends. My prediction is that it is going to be one big clusterf@$#*. So either myself and THE SARGE will be crashing at camp infooroo, or somewhere in the nieghborhood. Either way, I can't wait to meet all of you. It's only a few weeks away. I'm getting excited!
my friend's comming with me to roo and i know he's got a couple of sublime songs up his sleeve so he might be able to help out with a sing-a-long or two

Very cool. I'd bring my guitar (I'm a singer/songwriter) with me, but knowing me... I'd probably leave it somewhere or break it. I don't even need a guitar if I get tanked enough. I'd totally break out some acapella. I have a feeling the entire weekend is going to be one extreme sensory overload!

how was coachella?
It was awesome, Rage kicked ass. The only problem was the heat, it was far too hot for a poor little Englishman but I got through it. Do you have any idea how hot it usualy is in Tennessee in June?

Hotter. ;D Good training for roo, go up in your attic at about 4 in the afternoon. Its kinda like that.

I camped with a similar group to this at Coachella and out of the 50+ names who signed up i'd say 15-20 actually turned up

so how does this work? If you go onto a list to tent at Camp Inforoo, then everyones together? How big is this section? They should probably make it larger for the amount of people who chat on here.

Tent only really is huge. I'd say at least room for 500-750 tents. There'll be plenty of room, the only thing is latecomers might not be able to pitch their tents right in the central group area. Everyone's welcome to hang out wherever though! I'm sure there's room for you, LIGuy is putting together the list of people. Leo

Honey that was probably like a cool April day in TN TN in June, even for those of us who live here is a bitch. During July and August, I don't even go outdoors because it is so bad. But I also am a Brit so maybe I will never get used to it......
I will try and find the inforoo camp while I am wandering around and stop and say hi to whoever is there. I'm day parking so I won't be camping.

I was thinking of setting up a halfway house tent in camp only if me and my friends are stuck in BFE. If I end up doing this I will def come by and say hey & pass a J!! God roo is getting closer by the day!! BOOONNNNNNAAAAARRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
