So after not having a camelbak last year, theres no way im going with out one this year...now just to decide which to get. For anyone who already has a camelbak, what style/model should i get?
I have a CamelBak M.U.L.E. I bought this not because of Bonnaroo but because I mountain bike. If you have a EMS or other outdoor store close by stop and try one on.
I like having a little extra room for stuff (snacks, rain gear).

come to think of it i don't think i took the water outa my camleBack thing sice last years Roo..... I got stagnet sulfer ass water to wash out of it now, no wonder my closet stinks.
Really push your friends into buying them also. Last year I was the only one in my group who had one so it was like our community camelbak....which is not enough water.....ended up getting dehydrated and spent too much money on bottled water and what not. This year I'm making those bitches get their own so we can all be happy and not thirsty ;D
Yea I'm pretty sure they consider it a closed container. I mean its water....they can't deny you that especially when its 95 degrees. They probably will go through it and what not to see that your not "sneaking" anything else in.

good to know, last year we brought in closed water bottles only as per rules but a camelback is definately better. and a little cooler on your back too.

i noticed that my water stayed cooler also. very nice.
and i'd like to mention that i bought mine from wal-mart, and it held up just fine. in fact, my friend who actually bought the name brand ended up wishing she'd gotten one like mine instead, though admittedly that was probably due to the fact that mine was larger, and had more room to store stuff.

i was pretty fine with hydration last year, didnt really need to buy extra water bc we brought a ton of frozen water from home....but ive been thinking about buying a camelbak anyway, seems pretty conveinent (PLUS I MEAN EVERYONES DOIN IT!!1 LoLsZzzZz)..
do they really stay cool on your back? and i'd imagine different models are different capacities but, overall, does it hold enough fluid or do you have to refill it alot? they seem so thin...

Yes -- surprisingly, they can stay quite cool.
As for how much they hold, if you have a 70 ounce reservoir, that's the equivalent of a couple of widemouth Nalgenes. If you get a 100 ounce...you get the picture. Personally, I think it actually encourages you to stay hydrated, as that tube is so accessible and ready for a sip of water between beer swigs...
