I was thinkin about just bringing my leggings... I was so happy when those came back... not because I find them particularly fashionable... but I have the problem where as opposed to my thighs rubbing together, my knees do... I'm what do you call it... not bow legged but the opposite to that.... Kinda like you have pigeon toed and duck footed (i'm the prior as well as having my knees knock, knock kneed, is that it?) ... sorry I ramble... So I've been wearing my leggings under my dresses lately in this heat on campus and it has been pretty wonderful
edit- though it has produced some pretty funky tan lines on my legs
Guysss I have been meaning to tell you what I wear under my skirts at roo - I go to Old Navy and get the cheap (i think 12$ a pair) cotton shorts...they arent skin tite like the under armor ones but to me thats a bit better cuz I feel like its less hot wearing the cotton shorts
agreed... Old Navy clothes are cut a little weird....
LOL! That explains a lot....I can usually find more at Old Navy that fits than most places...but then I AM weird so that makes perfect sense
Seriously, are you guys like really tall? Cause I am pretty short, and petite, their stuff may be cut more like juniorish I think which works for me. But it's still not really "kiddy" so that REALLY works for me. It's hard to find clothes that fit me that don't end up looking like Brittney Spears pop-tart-du-jour media ho' crap......

"Brittney Spears pop-tart-du-jour media ho' crap"
That^... was brilliant I'm short and old navy still doesnt fit me for the most part... the bottoms do occationally but the tops are always too big due to my lack of bresticles and narrowness in the torsoe and shoulders.... I'm pear shaped what can i say
I like the Old Navy, maybe their stuff fits me because I'm all kinds of busty on top but built like a boy on the bottom (no hips or booty)
What I wouldn't give to have a butt ...*sigh*...
Ditto girly. I would give anything to remove a little from the top and add to my butt and hips But Old Navy pants always fit me perfectly.
Aha, so that's it! So maybe it isn't just me..... Just those of us who are a little more out of proportion on top than bottom...
So, you guys always get stuck buying skirts and tops never dresses either???? Not that I really mind, I'm not really a dress kind of girl (except sundresses, being in the south, I do LOVE me some sundresses )
I never buy dresses - I have hips and a butt and it never fails - if it fits up top - way too small down bottom
and as for the Old Navy stuff - I am 5'7 - just average - I think it is just that they make stuff for women that are slender and willowy
I'm only slender from the waist down. Up top I might as well be a whole other person. Thank goodness for empire waistlines. I never did fully recover from my last baby (he's 4 now). Oh the never ending joys of motherhood

I think us with the hips got it made thanks to the empire waist... so long as the bottom half of the dress is flowy all you have to worry about is the top fitting
Oh and by the way now I feel so vertically challenged with my 5'3" self

Honey, you and me both! That 5'7" average stuff - HUH? I thought maybe 5'5"-5'6" was average for women.....how big you grow 'em up north??
At least you got me beat by an inch, my 5'2" self here..... Stand by me if you want to feel tall....

Haha my thoughts also. I am 5ft 4 and most of the girls I know are around the same height or shorter. To me, 5 ft 7 is tall

yippie, little people of the roo unite!... you know come to think of it people up north are taller... though I can't really say anything my mom is my height and she is a michigander... but she is the shortest in the family I blame environmental factors as opposed to genetics with my 6'3" dad, i always hoped it would even out... I got the "short" end of the stick

Oh yeah.... I'm so going to attempt to get as close as i can to all the action cause it doesnt matter who is in front of me I'm not going to be able to see... Damn my vertical imparement... I should bring a step stool
Hey Now! I just started reading this thread today and I love it! I am used to sweltering outdoor venues here in Austin...one year it was 108* (for real... no lie!) on a Sunday ACL fest. Ouch.
Cool cotton tops and board shorts (with secure velcro pockets) that can get wet and dry quickly are key for me. If you can get wet, you can get cool! Just make sure the tops are not see-thru once you are cool (or hot??). One really hot day I carried around a frozen gal of water and kept it on my neck and head and then drank nice cold water as it melted. Very Key. Also very sexy...Can you bring in a frozen water bottle into centeroo? Tell me about the fountain...do many people "swim" in it to cool down or is it a scary E.Coli enter at your own risk scene?
I find long skirts really hot since the air gets trapped in the skirt. The legs need to breathe, but also need to keep away from the evil sun burn.
One other question... has anyone else been on a bonnaroo diet? I definitely want my clothes to fit loosely and so far so good. Eat less...exercise more. I guess it aint rocket science, but it sure is hard to do!
today i talked to my buddy (guitardevil) who i'm going with and he mentioned something about "ohh... clothes won't be a big deal. like... two t-shirts will do..."
to which i said "WHAT!? have you SEEN the girly fashion thread lately??"
I was thinkin about just bringing my leggings... Leggings in that heat? Are you nuts?!?
Also, I am thinking of just going with soffee shorts and tank tops this year. I'm not there to impress anybody...plus, I absolutely hate being in wet clothes and cotton shorts dry quickly, unless someone has some other suggestions...
