This will be my first time to Roo so I can't wait to hear what people have to say! I will definitley not be wearing makeup...actually love that I have an excuse not to have to wear it. I was thinking of packing mostly skirts and tanks...

ill answer my own post. i like to pack light but i will take extra stuff to bonnaroo. i took jeans last year and i was glad i did. it was cool one night. i also bought a nice wrap there at bonnaroo and it was a godsend. you need to take extra shoes and extra underthings. as for fashion, i want to be cool and comfortable but i also want to like what im wearing. i found a cute camo mini skirt with cargo pockets. that will be good to carry things. im taking LOTS of tanks because they are easy to pack and cool and go with everything. im taking flat shoes and also one pair of sandals and one pair of boots. it can get muddy and you will not want to walk around sliding in thong sandals - trust me they will break and you will fall down hahahaha. i also will take a bathing suit. i havent used it yet but i figure it its going to rain a lot i can wear the bathing suit under something and then when it stops raining i can lie out to dry off without having to go all the way back to my tent in wet clothing to change. i HATE wet clothing. ill also take a cool dress. last year i took makeup but i didnt wear much. i wore a little foundation for sunscreen purposes and mascara and lipstick but thats it. i look dead without mascara and the lipstick kept my lips from drying out. i usually wore my hair in a ponytail. this year i have one of those militia hats and ill likely wear that. i also will take a large scarf which can be used as a wrap, headdressing, or blanket.

by the way, has anyone gone to the croc site and checked out the new styles. i dont have any crocs but they have really cute shoes now including colorful boots that would work in the mud.

OoOoOoooOOOoO I dont overpack persay but I definitely bring alot of choices cuz i have so many prettyful dresses and things that I love to wear at festies and such. pictures later
Wow... crocs with heels... craziness!! They are cute but I dont think I would want to walk around Roo for an entire weekend in them. I bought the plain ones with the holes in them... not as cute but I think they will do the job of keeping me comfortable and stable. As far as make-up goes, that is a big HELL NO for me!! I also love to have an excuse not to wear it, and I agree that it would sweat right off anyway. (Nothing against the ladies who are going to wear make-up... you'll look better than me!!) Skirts are the way to go in my opinion... they are so free and flowy and I love them. Some women prefer shorts because they can be better for chaffing, but I guess it just depends on the person. A bathing suit is a must! I just bought a really cute one, so now all I need to do is lose some weight so I can wear it all weekend without feeling self-conscious. Not that anyone at Roo even cares what you look like anyway. Thats what I love... you can be you without being judged! I also bought this really cute bandana with green GD dancing bears, so that should protect my scalp, although I think a hat would be much better bc it would protect your face and help keep the sun out of your eyes. I look terrible in hats...anyone know where to get a semi-cute hat that shades as well??? I would appreciate it...

Got the crocs...got the bandanas (about 20 of them so I can coordinate ;D)...got the hats in green and orange...now all I need are new shades , shorts, and tanks.
I was at macy's hoping to use a gift certificate on a new pair of shades this past weekend. But they didn't quite have what I was looking for, and the huge shades make me look very silly.
I have a couple knee length light skirts and tanks. I kinda just throw my favorite things in the suitcase and figure out what I want to wear as i go. Usually lots of skirts and tanks. And a hoodie if it gets cold. Last time I bought head bandanas to help avoid sunburn on my head, and may do the same or find a hat that doesn't look too funny. I like to wear visors too.
I am going to get a pair of crocs for the weekend and a pair of mud boots, but I can't decide what color crocs to get. :/ There are so many colors!
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
I wouldn't pack anything that you wouldn't be willing to get dirty. ANYTHING can happen and protecting your hemline will become a pain. I tend to wear shorter (knee length) skirts for just that reason.

good call! especially with shoes, do not bring your cutest ones ever, because they will take a beating! i was never able to fully get the dirt out of my chacos lol. i consider it a souvenir though

i am also thinking about getting a nice wide brimmed hat.. for sun shelter. but dont know where.
and as for shoes.......... oh man. i barely have any choices just for regular days. i was going to bring flip flops only. im guessing thats a bad idea??

so ... my first roo as well and i will undoubtedly pack far too much in the clothing department. I'm going for dresses mainly (thank goodness my dresses have pockets yippie!). A pair of jeans or two for when it gets cold. A hoodie and of course my ghost in the machine t-shirt... here is my problem though... my hair isn't long enough for a ponytial... but it has grown out enough that it doesnt do that messy, dirty, stuck in all directions thing anymore... it just kinda goes limp and greasy when its unwashed now so my question is any solutions to the hair delema (i know fluffing a little baby powder gets rid of the greasyness) but do i keep letting itgrow out in hopes that it might be long enought to pin it up for roo or do i go ahead and chop it again so that it loks ok when unwashed

I've heard about flip-flops not being a good choice, especially in the mud. Those suckers get sopped in the mud and you can't get them out.
I saw a photo on here somewhere floating around where all of the people abandoned their flops for crocs (I think it was crocs).
I invested $30 in a pair of crocs. They can handle the mud and all you have to do is run them under water and they're like new! I know they may be ugly, but the ease of cleaning them makes up for it! Plus, they're comfy!

my solution is bandanas. Doesn't matter what your hair looks like...plus you protect your scalp from the sun. (I always forget the sunscreen on the part!) If you don't like bandanas, then I say get it chopped and bring a hat. (But it doesn't matter what your hair looks like...everyone else is gonna be fugly! ;D)
