I had a cheapo mattress pumped that thing to the gills and slept like a baby, then then next night did the same thing and the next night...I am considering a cot, for some reason after a few beers it makes me very light headed and slobbery to filll that thing up...
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
You can get an attachment for your cars cigarette lighter that turns it into an outlet. It really comes in handy. It won't power a blender but it will power an electric pump.

I got a little battery jumper at Autozone last year, you can charge it up in an outlet at home and it has a cigarrette lighter port as well as the jumper cables. I use that with a cigarrette lighter mattress pump.. also have a nice fan that runs off it. It will run something like that all weekend and still be able to jump a battery if someone around me need it.
The first year we had an airbed but by each morning - we were on the ground anyway so last year - we bought the swimming pool floats - just $5 - it has enough air in it to give you cushioning from the ground but did not deflate

those sound like a totally great alternative. I hated my regular airbed for camping. I got rid of it.
well another problem we had with the airbed - it was a double - but in that heat - it sucked to wake up in the mornining right up next to another person with all that heat from their bodies in addition to being in a hot tent - not fun
I used an airbed last year and I filled it to the max before bed, I woke up and it was great...only problem is Plastic in the heat is no no fun! At night it was amazing!

I can decisively say that last year my air mattress was pretty damn comfortable until Saturday morning at about 5am when I took a flying leap through the tent flap with an open Gatorade in my hand in a desperate attempt to get some sleep. My tent mate woke up with his face stuck to the floor of the tent with dried Gatorade at about 7am. The air mattress was still pretty comfortable after that, the problem was I couldn't get near the thing without a lot of Bad Noise for the rest of the weekend.
They can be used as a sofa, a king sized bed, two separate twin beds, or an extra comfy double high twin bed. Best part is that they were only $25 each at Big Lots. We have used them several times already and they have yet to deflate on us.
^^^I looked at those but was unsure if they would hold up
We've had the Coleman 5 in 1 for 2 years now. It's went camping about 10 times, been through a Roo in 07', about 20 times with house guests, and a lot of just leaving it up as a couch in our basement.
It's had 1 small hole that was my fault that was easily repaired.
It's great so you don't up rolled in the middle with your sleeping buddy. I HIGHLY recommend it!
The 5 in 1 is a good choice if you'd like to huddle together so as to avoid freezing overnight, but need 5 miles of space between you come the evil morning sun. Attach the beds at night, split them apart next morning. Worked like a charm for us, last year.
