^^good call on the spf chapstick! i never go anywhere w/o my chapstick!
Me too!
And I discovered last roo, the best place to keep your chapstick (as long as it's one of the traditional small tubes) is in your bikini top! ;D If it's a triangle type top the chapstick fits perfectly right under your boob! lol Strange, I know, but since I'm always re-applying and I don't carry a bag or anything with me, it's the best place! ;D
good call on that too! hahaha cause i wore a bikini top all weekend and never knew what to do w/ my chapstick!
Ok Everyone, don't ever allow me to go back to work because I just had to read through 4 pages of posts. ;D
About blemishes, Every so often I receive a "Mount Vesuveous" A very painful blemish. This is the first product I've purchased and its OUTSTANDING! I've will never switch. Its only for localized break out but it clears the dern crap up in NO TIME FLAT! I can't rave on enough about it.
Vichy-Anti Blemish Intensive Treatment Cream. Its $20 Canadian but I tell you, if you feel one coming on (under the skin) then start applying. You can even slip it into your purse and take it everywhere. If you have one already on your face, then apply, apply, apply, and the blemish is gone in no time at all and doesn't leave scarring.
Other than that, I only use lip balm for Bonnaroo and nothing else! I can't imagine makeup! It was too hot for me to put that on!
For blemishes, dealt with in an over-the-counter-available-at-your-local-drugstore-for-cheap way, buy the store brand of a high level benzoyle peroxide cream. I use the CVS version. Whenever you're home and unobserved, and overnight (presuming you are either alone or have a partner who won't constantly point and laugh), dab the hell out of that stuff over the zit or zit-to-be. We are not talking "rub it in until it's invisible;" we are talking "chunk it on so that it dries like it's own white Mt. Vesuvius." I can always nip those suckers in the bud, using this method (learned, shamefully, as a tip from Tyra Banks).
WARNINGS: If you have sensitive/dry skin, do NOT do this. It will undoubtedly cause you problems. Benzoyle peroxide is very, very drying. I'm oily skin variety (hence, the breakouts). For girls like me, it's a very good, cheap method to use.
Wait for little Mt. Vesuvius to completely dry before coming in contact with any colored fabrics of any sort (the comfy at home sweatshirt you were going to pull over your head; the towel you were going to use to wipe that stray toothpaste off your face; your pillowcase; you're non-embarrassed significant other's shirt). The peroxide part of the equation is basically a bleach. It will definitely lighten any fabric with which it comes into contact, wet.
But with that in mind, this method rules for ease, price and convenience!
************************ And on another topic, the Croc replacement rivets ordered less than 10 days ago are already here! They threw a ton of them in a padded envelope. Enough to last ages. Awesome customer service! Again, I ordered them off the official Crocs website. They were sent to me for free, just basically for registering and asking for them. They offer replacement straps sent free, as well. I'm just so happy to have functional Crocs, now. But I can't say enough about how nice it is that they stand behind their products in that way. Rare to find.
Awesome re: the Crocs supplies! Will keep that in mind if I have an issue!
As for zits for sensitive skin, Clean and Clear has this stuff in a little silver tube... amazing shiznit. It's clear too so you can put it on during the day, under makeup, whatever.
Awww man I am getting so excited for Bonnaroo!!! The hubby and I were talking about it just this morning; granola bars were on sale at the grocery and he was like, "should we stock up for Bonanroo?" A tad early baby, but thanks for being prepared and int he Roo state of mind!

HAHAHAHAHA. I actually bought toilet seat covers and those little portable rolls of Charmin the other day. I'm starting a Bonnaroo box of supplies. Sad, I know.
There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing. But I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepiatone loving Love is the answer
A little feeling in my gut that I get of late when I think about these cats running the world with hate
i don't know what it is but am i the only one whose skin just brakes out during bonnaroo? its like i have normally really clear skin but the second i go somewhere i break out like crazy. my friend thinks its the water but idk
It could definitely be the water -- just think about how your hair reacts to different water. I haven't been to Bonnaroo, but it sounds like the heat and dust are pretty bad, so I'm sure that doesn't help.
I bought a bunch of shoebox sized plastic boxes last year to organize under my bathroom sink and one is designated for Bonnaroo supplies.
lol, i use actual shoe boxes to organize under my bathroom sink! i currently use cardboard boxes for everything...until i can drop some cash for some more durable plastic! I also have a box designated for travel - which is pretty much 'roo stuff since that is our main vacation! ;D
I got the best dress yesterday at a yard sale for $5! It's a pale purple colored, halter top, that hits right below the knees with pretty satin & eyelet-type details I'm so happy, it's perfect for 'roo ;D

so i just went to forever 21 today and got 2 new dresses ;D they are so cute. i swear i am a dress addict!!!! thankfully i wear dresses from spring-fall 24/7 and have bunches of festies to go to as well
alright girls, i'm not sure if either of these questions have been asked.... and to be honest, i'm a little too lazy to go thru the last 10 pages to find out. hahah but if they are, just let me know and i'll go back and find them.
1) shaving? what do you girls do about shaving? last yr. i just shaved wed. night before we left and then didn't think about it till i got home monday. i was wondering if any of you shaved at roo and how that worked out for you?
and
2) camelbaks? i know this is kinda weird.. but dont they give you weird tanlines? i'm one of those crazy girls who hate weird tanlines. i was shopping online today to see if they had any cute ones in pink... and they do think i should get it?
There's a post about shaving in this forum; pretty much I said I did what you did last year.
I had a Camelbak, a really slim one from Kelty that was yellow and my lifesaver. It was more narrow than the width of my back, I didn't wear it when seated and wore a lot of sunscreen so I didn't have any weird tanlines. IT was a lifesaver - carried all my stuff, wasn't heavy or cumbersome, easy to refill at the troughs, had a bungee lattic eon it to hold my tapestry... I found it a necessity.
I reallllllly want to get a camelbak for this year. Theyre really not all that expensive and a lot of people swear by them.
alie, did they ever make you dump it out at the gates? I know that I've read on the boards that some people had no problem bringing in a full camelbak to roo, but some people had trouble... I'm wondering if you got a little slack with that cause you're a chick... i definitely think being a girl helps with security. I didn't get searched once.

camelbaks are a MUST!!! the one i took to Roo 06 has sadly been retired from all the wear and tear, so i'm on the lookout for a new one. i never was asked to dump it out, but i saw others who were asked to. usually i would just add a couple scoops of powdered gatorade before we left camp and then would fill up once inside the venue...that way there are no problems.
this has made so excited to start shopping for dresses!! i'm working on getting less phat before i do though!!
We have never been asked to empty our camelbaks. I have a suggestion... Buy a bag of ice right before you go into centeroo and fill your camelbak bladder. It lasts all day in there and keeps your back cool. I just wrapped the bladder with some paper towel so it wouldn't soak thru to my back. It did once but felt really good.
That is the cutest dress, SparklyBecca! I've gotta check in at the '21.
On shaving and camelbaks, I'm ashamed to say that if you're VIP, these are less of an issue. I shaved every day, while I was there. And I just carry what I can drink, in closed water bottles and walk back (or to the cheap bevies in the catering tent) when I need more. It's just sorta different when you're in VIP. Of course, it also costs an arm, a leg and a third limb to be named later. When you're over 40, it's worth saving your pennies for it. I'll admit it. I'm just not as young as I used to be!
Wow. And I just checked over at the website for Forever 21. If this one didn't have metallic thread in it (probably a bit too flashy) it would be really pretty!
No need to be ashamed! If I had a proper shower, I would have shaved as well.
Also, it's been mentioned before, but if you're trying to go into Centeroo with a full Camelbak or anything else, go to the fastest moving line - NOT the shortest.

Yeah, my girls need support, and I have yet to find a strapless that is comfortable and does its job. That's why i haven't done the Kariza...
Victoria Secret Ipex is the best strapless/convertible bra ever! You can put the straps in a bunch off diff positions halter/1 strap/2 straps/strapless/etc. It holds me up great and is the only one I have discovered that does so.
^last year a i bought a new strapless bra and it held up fine for everyday life, but not at bonnaroo... i ended up having to go braless half the time cause of malfuntion...
