i swim suits a lot. there is no issue as long as they are comfortable where they meet your legs. mine was fine but i think if they have a thick band or seam around the leg then it could be uncomfortable. this year im taking some bike shorts - the kind you can wear by themselves and also some of the kind that you wear under something elese. ill also take my swim suit bottoms as for swim suit tops. i wear them ...the only isue is that if you are large at the top you will want something thats not halter style because your neck and shoulders will be sore from holding up the girls all day long.
VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION (though it may have already been asked.. not about to scroll through 200 pages of this thread for the answer):
Is it a bad idea to wear a bathing suit every day under clothes instead of undies? I've heard it could be bad for you and really uncomfortable.. but it seems like the best idea.
I wear a halter bikini under one of my dresses and the only problem I have is it hurts my neck after wearing to long because I am a D cup. So I wear it during the day and then change in the evening. The bottoms are totally fine though.
Hey I recently joined inforoo as I will be attending my first 'Roo this June!! This post has been a great help in preparing me for the coming heat/rain/mud/wind/whatever else Tennessee decides to throw our way. I just thought I'd share a pretty good deal on groupon right now! It's $29 for $60 dollars worth of shoes at shoebacca.com, and they have a pretty good selection of rainboots and other various shoes.
Some of the boots are on a bit more of the expensive side but with this coupon it's not so bad and you're getting a good quality, comfortable boot that will hold out for probably many Bonnaroos to come! And there's free shipping and returns in the US.
Here's the link for Nashville if you're interested, I know that it is offered in many different states if you do a google search...www.groupon.com/deals/shoebacca-nashville
Just thought I'd share! SEE YOU AT THE ROO!!!!! ;D
Oh and just an edit - they also have Teva's if that's your thing
swimsuits are not bad to wear unless they are wet. otherwise, it is basically the same thing as underwear (i would obviously not wear it at home instead of underwear but at bonnaroo, you'd be fine).
also, i stand by not messing with all that body glide, runner stick, powder, hoodoovoodoo and go with plain black cotton biker shorts. they wick away the sweat and totally prevent chaffing. you can get some pretty lightweight ones if you look around at target, walmart etc.
I've accepted the same thing. It's also how I'm able to wear a hat - it makes my head a little more hot than a bandana, but better protects my face and neck.
Just wanted to share for the dress shoppers - 6 pm has some cute dresses (juniors sizes) starting at like $15. The sale goes through Weds I think.
Also, I have a weird question and thought you might be able to advise. My deodorant seems to have stopped working. Has anyone had that happen before or am I just losing my mind?
Nope, you're not losing your mind. That happens to me all the time. Usually it's a signal that I need to buy more deodorant. No clue why it seems to stop working before the container is empty, but it does. I don't even have to switch brands, just containers.
Though in the summer, I'll usually switch to Certain-Dri. Only problem with that is you have to remember to apply it at night - though it does last for 72 hours, through showers and all.

This thread is great! This will be my first roo and it looks like dresses are the way to go. I haven't decided on shoes yet other than brining my rain boots for possible mud.

Hey ladies, I was just at Dots this weekend and they had a crapload of cheap cheap cheap dresses. I got a cute strapless, cotton, smocked Indian print dress for $15 that'll be perfect for Roo I think. Their quality varies a LOT but the selection right now is kinda crazy good. Dunno how easy Dots are to find elsewhere but there's a store locator on their site...

I have a friend that loves this store! I guess I thought it was just a local place? She always raving that they have cute plus-sized clothing. I might have to check this out...
I had no idea about Dots, but now I want to visit their store!
If Maurice's were closer to me, I'd consider going there too.
PS. I find it amusing how many of you have large chested issues...whereas me, I'm 25 in a few days and still wearin an A cup! I guess I should be happy for now? It'll change once I have kids, I'm sure. I just find it interesting how I'm both jealous and pleased about my size when I read your comments about finding clothes that fit and whatnot.

All I can say is embrace your A cup. When you are 40 and you do not have saggy boobs you will be SO thankful If money were no object, it would be the only plastic surgery I would consider, just make me a non-saggy B cup!!

I'm a big Dots fan!! I wandered into one by accident years ago and got hooked. Prior to that I guess I assumed it was club clothes for juniors or something, but they carry sizes 0-26 I think. When someone asks about something I'm wearing and I say I got it at Dots, they're always shocked. Its not high quality but its pretty fun as fast fashion goes!

Hurrah, I'm not the only one! I'm an A cup too. Although I just started birth control pills so I think they're giving me a little boost. Woo!
And actually that reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask you ladies - is anyone else on birth control pills? And if so, do you manage to remember them throughout Roo? I never really have any concept of time at Roo, and even if my phone isn't dead there's not much chance I'm going to hear the alarm, so I'm so sure I'm going to keep forgetting them.
Maybe I should kill two birds with one stone and rearrange the time I'm taking them for Roo...if I take them late morning I'll still be at the tent so I won't have to worry about bringing them through security, plus I'll be less distracted and probably paying more attention to the time in order to get moving in time for the first show I want to see. I'm thinking that sounds like my best bet as far as remembering them!

Glad to hear I'm not the only A cup here! And I guess I really should be grateful... but sometimes it's easy to get jealous. Most people don't believe me when I say I'm an A cup cause I just wear padded bras all the time which make me look bigger. My mom even talks about surgery due to sagging, and I'm sittin here thinkin... what's the point, and be thankful you at least have boobs! lol (Also makes me wonder where I got these genes from)
I think takin BC makes more sense for the morning. I might have to do that with my thyroid meds. I take it at night now cause mornings were hard for me since I have to wait an hour to eat before/after, but I might do better to take it in the morning/afternoon and wait to eat since I'll be up late. I wouldn't want to walk around with it anyway and risk losing it. I was on the patch before so I wouldn't have to deal with that. Just took it off and replaced it every week. So much easier. I'm bad enough as it is with my 1 pill a day...

i take my thyroid medication in the morning now.. and sometimes it is hard if i am feeling particularly hungry. i try to take it the SECOND i wake up though so by the time i am fully awake and getting up i don't have to wait too long to eat.

I got in the habit of taking my bc pills when I go to bed. I'm not on the kind that are absolutely required to be taken at the same time every day. It's pure habit to take my pill and my vitamin when I go to bed, no matter what condition I'm in.
Also, if you're on birth control look at your pills to see if mother nature will be paying you a visit during Bonnaroo. You can skip your inert week and go straight to your next pack to reschedule your period.
