Ooo, camp mirror... I'll have to look for one of those, thanks for the tip!
I, too am a whiter shade of paper. I decided not to worry about it. Even with SPF 50 I'm pretty sure my freckles will start busting out in waves as soon as that TN sun hits me.
For nails... I like that Sally Hansen nail design idea! I was also considering getting a gel manicure, though I've heard that can irritate some people's hands (not sure if that's true or not since its a relatively new craze).
Now if I could only find a HAT!! Decided too late for mail order that I don't like the one I have, after all. Hoping Walmart has some decent mens' straw hats this weekend (with a 7 5/8" noggin, I have zero hope of finding a ladies' hat that'll fit).
I have a giant head, and I saw but did not buy a basic straw fedora in walmart's women's section that fit me.. It had to be like twice as big as any of their usual hats.. Well maybe not twice, but definitely big enough for my giant Mellon, and it was just $8. So don't count walmart's women's section out completely. If not... Both target and walmart have men's fedoras.

I'm kinda late to answer the deodorant question, but I always use the gel sticks rather than the solid sticks. I like the gel better anyway, but as an added bonus it can't really melt since it's already a gel. If you do use the solid kind, you could always just pop it in the cooler like others said, but grabbing a stick of the gel kind would also be an option.
Kinda thinking I need to get me a hat too...I'm not usually much of a hat person, but I bet I could rock a straw cowboy hat style for Roo. Like this: www.target.com/Mossimo-Supply-Co-Cowboy-Design/dp/B004BK4DXA/ref=sc_qi_detaillink I'd look cute in that, right? Too bad it's sold out. But I can probably find something similar. And then I'll have to attach some ties to it so I can let it hang down my back if I want to.
I have decided that between my tax refund and the new job which is beginning to provide me with some money, I can totally treat myself to a couple cute new things for Roo. Like a hat. And maybe a new dress. And boob accessories! (I keep eyeballing this one bikini top at Walmart every time I'm there, I think it will soon be time to stop resisting...and hey, Walmart prices. Can't go wrong.)

Ah excellent! I never even bother with the womens' section usually so that's good to know. I saw some super cute fedoras at Target in the men's section but the brims were a little stingy for me. Off to Wallyworld I go!!

I wish I had the giant head problem...mine is the opposite, and even women's hats are too big for me. When I showed horses I had to buy cowboy hats and hunt caps in children's sizes which meant the brims were smaller and looked weird.

I will have my nails done with Shellac before I come (which I've had done before) - wears like nails and doesn't irritate the skin at all.
Hats - have you tried your local garden center (not lowe's or home depot)? My garden center here had some FAB hats which I thought were very reasonably priced.
Ran into the Dollar Tree today.. picked up a straw cowboy hat for $1! I also picked up a car window shield, a 24 pack of shot glasses, anti itch cream, ibuprofen, ear plugs, two bags of trail mix, strawberry breakfast bars, granola bars, pretzels and cheese dippers.
Here are some other things I plan on going back for... Toliet Paper Rope Zip Ties AA and D Batteries Glow Sticks Helium Balloon (campsite marker)
And a few more odds and ends.. I love that everything is a buck!!

I tried that hat on and it's SO shallow. It sat way up on my head. My sister and I both got different straw cowboy hats from target for like $13 each. Target also has straw sun hats in their dollar section.. not sure how cute they are, but I think they'd be fine.
Thanks for the tips (and pic!) of the feathers in curly hair. Maybe I'll try some out after all.
And I've decided to skip on the fake tan. Even when I'm "tan" I'm still very white, so I'll just stay natural.
Another good way to mark your campsite is with a gps app like you would use to mark your parking spot. We decided after loosing our car at a NASCAR race and walking for two hours to find it that the app was a good idea. (there were two sets of letters and the parking lot attendant told us there was only one, so like many others we wore out one set of letters walking before stumbling onto the others)
I would love to see a photo of the cowboy hat from the dollar tree. I love that store so much. I bought one of those silver windshield thingies to use as a reflector for outdoor photography.

Hi ladies! I bought some ties for fly fishing today to use as feather hair extensions! I'm gonna try to put them in this weekend and hopefully I'll remember to post a pic. They look super easy to put in from the tutorials I found online.
What did you use to make the cute hat pin? .. If you don't mind me ripping your idea off. Haha
Just the feather, some wooden beads, and hot glue. I thought about maybe the hot glue melting but I dug out my hat from last year and the sash was hot glued on and it stayed on fine.

I had to buy a cheap hat from Forever 21 after finding my cat sleeping on top of my last one and I want to add a cute hat band to it. I'm think of taking apart a tribal scrunchie I have and sewing and glueing it to the hat. I will have to update on progress...I'm not very crafty at all, so this might end up being a disaster.

Yeah, that's a good idea, I'm planning on making the band pretty narrow so I can cover it with a scarf...I have a really pretty one I got in India that would work perfectly and matches one of my dresses nicely.

Interesting idea, let me know how it works out. I would like to have some but I don't think it would go over well in the office so would like to have some for just Bonnaroo. My sister is getting our hairdresser to put in feather extensions tomorrow, so jealous!

Hello there! Sorry if this has already been posted, peeked at the last few pages and didn't see anything but I may have missed it. So I ordered the Globy things from ebay and got them in and I haveta say I'm pretty excited!! I mainly ordered mine to be able to braid in my hair. I'm one of those people you see at the back of the show chillin on my mat at times, so when it's dark I think this would be a good beacon to let people know someones down there I took these the other night and the light picture is with them turned "on" so you can see that you can somewhat see the light coming off of them. This was a quick braid-in job and I need to practice a little to get it right, there were times I found that you couldn't see the light through my hair....and yes, as much as I may look like a dork in these pics.. I felt like one too! I'm not very keen on popping pics of myself
edit:well I give up on trying with the pic...first they were HUGE and then they were itty bitty and this seems to be the best I can get.. you get the idea tho of what they look like in the dark

Not bad for a $1 hat!!
Not bad at all.
I hadn't been sure about my fedora. The plaid band just wasn't doing it for me because it felt slightly masculine (it did come from the men's section) so I was going to figure out something to do with it to make it a tad more girlie... Don't know why I didn't think of this. The colors are perfect to go with a peacock feather. I've got one left over, so I think I'm going to try some hot melt glue myself. I was worried about it melting, too.. But I guess it's worth a try and I checked on some headbands I have and they were glued, too. So I feel better now. Great idea!
I stole the feather in my cap idea... I like it. Thank you very much!
And if anyone cares, there is a silly photo of me in the same Flickr album above so that you can find my smiling face at brunch. It's black and white, so just add red hair and glow stick white skin and you got me.
That is fab!! To not be crafty you did pretty well!!
I know most of you are anti flip-flops but I can't imagine wearing anything else. I LIVED in my Reefs for 4 days last year. I just got my new pair in the mail and they are so COMFY! I love them! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004DZO74S
I also picked up one of those rubber band watches at Wal*Mart for $2. I didn't wear one last year and getting my phone out every time I wanted to check the time was a severe pain!
