I scored a couple tops and a sports bra today from Old Navy—so now I have enough tops, I just need to get bottoms to go with them! Or dresses, but I've been striking out there so far. I'm pretty sure my local stores hate me because I keep ordering stuff online and returning whatever doesn't fit, which is usually a lot of it.

I was seriously surprised at how nice the sports bras are! I usually go for cotton when I'm working out but I figured if I'm gonna wear it all day the goDry or whatever they call it fabric would be nice. I think the sale on them is going through the weekend if anyone else wants to check them out!
I need to hit up the store near work because I found a hella cute top but my size wasn't available so I got my 2nd choice color. I want the rainbow one!!!!
I am kinda crazy about my sports bras. My favorite, which I am wearing right now (I should really get in the shower...), has an underwire and clasps in the back. I love my underwire!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

A sports bra with underwire??? Unheard of! Link please?
Do you gals know if there are blacklights on the farm, like perhaps at the silent disco?
I don't remember there being any blacklights in the silent disco. I'd suggest going with actual "glow in the dark" materials that charge in the daylight, than neon...
OK, I usually only lurk in GFT, but I had to share a find. Since I got a $50 Amazon gift card yesterday, I thought I'd browse for clothes. (Lord knows I don't need any more music! haha!)
WHO KNEW THEY HAD CUTE 'ROO DRESSES ON THE CHEAP?!? This one's only $11.25!!!
I'm totally scouring the hell outta this site tonite! ;D
I think this should happen. I still haven't been since it opened.
I just read through this and you guys have really given me some great ideas on how to cope with my big tata issue. I'll definitely be wearing dressing & skirts this year. I wore jeans and pants at my last Roo and was miserable.

I don't know the brand. When I can remember, I'll check it out and get back to you

Man, I'm pretty sure blacklights on the farm would just end up being embarrassing...I mean, by the time you've gone a few days without showering...
In other news, I finally found a local deal for laser hair removal, but ehhh idk. The site for this place has like zero information, which makes me super wary. Plus it's $95 for 3 sessions, but...don't you generally need a lot more sessions than that? GAH I am so worried that my skin would be permanently screwed up if I went to a sketchy place.
The brand is Moving Comfort. I've had mine for years so I can't say for sure which one I have, but this looks about it. Underwire, molded cups, but a little high on the front. I still kiiiinda have some boobs in it, but it's super supportive and comfortable.

I wear those when I'm horseback riding. Keeps the girls in their place. I'm so glad someone posted the brand. I threw mine away a few months back and have been looking for one since then.
Random question, but a very valuable one. I'm super fair skinned and a redhead. I was totally smothered in sunscreen last year (spf 50) applied probably 5-6 times each day, had a huge sun hat, mostly wore a wrap over my shoulders/chest and still managed to burn. Do any of you do a base tan before you go to Bonnaroo? We're planning to go again this year but I can't get burned the way I did last year, it was horrible.
I am a lfair skin redhead too! my first year I was all about sun screen afraid of getting burned. Last year I got a really good based tan going before bonnaroo and it helped so much with the sun and the heat. Base tans help!
This may sound like a dumb question- but I'm a fair skinned redhead too. How do you get a base tan going? I just seem to burn and turn white again.
tanning bed start off with only a few minutes with a good lotion...talk to the girls that work their they usually know what they are talking about....the first time i attempted a base tan i found that if i paid the extra money an laid in a "upper level" bed (ask for the ones with the low burn rate or something like that) and they helped me out alot
i think i may have finally built up a tolerance ot sun after three years of "base tanning" for roo because i just started back and 12 minutes doesnt burn me the first time like it use to...
ps....someone once told me if you dont get a little pink then you are not tanning...so really its like getting a preburn...a bunch of little burns are a lot easier to handle than a really bad one at roo
***disclaimer not endorsing the use of tanning beds because i know they are bad for people

^ YAY for not endorsing tanning beds! Because even a bunch of little burns CAN GIVE YOU CANCER. I've gotta get a spot on my EAR (of all places!) checked out pretty soon. And to my knowledge, I've never been burnt there.
kayrahbear... I'm not a ginger, but I'm the palest brunette with a pulse you'll ever meet!
I always get a tiny bit of sun @ 'Roo, but I never...and I mean NEVER, EVER, EVER try to get a base tan. NEVER! I don't lay out, I always slather TONS of sunscreen (highest SPF possible!) on from head to toe.... AAAAAAND... I always wear a hat. The bigger, the flopper, the better!
Trust me, there is nothing more beautiful than creamy, soft skin on a woman who has clearly avoided the sun all her life. I want to be one of those women, not the kind who have lots of wrinkles, liver spots and/or scars where skin cancer was removed.
Ask yourself: if you protect your skin with enough sunscreen and shade, why would you need a base tan? If our ancestors (I'm guessing you've got Irish/Scottish genes like me!) didn't bother, why should we? Because other girls are tan? Because we think guys like tanned girls? Because society says pale skin isn't healthy? Bah humbug!
Oooh, I better shut up before this turns into a rant! It's just that sooooooo many girls compare themselves to other girls. And for what? My skin just does.not.tan - at all! So that's why I don't bother trying. I'm proud to be THAT GIRL whose skin is so pale it's damn near translucent. Be who or whatever your body is meant to be: if it's tanned & tropical, then great! If it's pale and creamy, woohoo to that, too!
HERE'S SOMETHING NOBODY SEEMS TO MENTION: if you've got super pale skin, it gives you a reason to carry an umbrella & sunscreen. And you never know when some hot guy might need some shade (or you might need help applying sunscreen to certain hard-to-reach areas!), and lo & behold... guess who's gonna help each other? Carry a misting fan & offer to cool him off? Next thing you know... he doesn't care whether you've got a base tan or not!
This concludes my "health trumps fashion" speech. I'll go back to shopping for dresses & bigass floppy hats now.

Pepp you definitely need more than 3 sessions. I've found that deals like that are used to get you in the door to up-sell you on a full package. 3 treatments will significantly thin things out (I've had 3 or 4, I forget) but the hair will not be gone completely.
I would check reviews of the place, and if the reviews are favorable call and ask them about package pricing (including the deal).
Yeah, I have only had the one session on my underarms, Pepp - and it's magical. But I still have to shave every 3 days or so (down from everyday). They say that hair grows in 3 cycles at about 6 weeks per cycle - so you have to go at least 3 times with 6 weeks in between sessions to get all the follicles in one area. Then the 4-6th sessions are to ensure that each follicle has been lasered up.

A little additional info regarding sunscreens.....
Here is a good link. I wear only natural sunscreens because the chemicals most sunscreens contain are as bad or worse for you than the sun over exposure itself.
Also, a tidbit of medical info, you should get about 10-15 minutes of UNPROTECTED sun exposure per day to get a healthy boost of Vitamin D. After that, apply your natural sunscreen. The sun is a wonderful thing- great for depression, PMS, your bones and teeth, proper sleep, heart disease and cancer AVOIDANCE. It is the OVEREXPOSURE that causes troubles. Roo is a nightmare for your skin, however the sunscreen you choose can make a bad situation even worse.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

i have a moving comfort bra. yes they are great!!!
as for tanning. i know its bad for you and i think white skin is lovely, however, i like to wear as little clothing as possible so...no covers or hats for me. i go as free as possible at roo - bikini top or sports bra and tiny shorts are the way to go for me. id die of heat stroke in a bunch of clothes. isnt that interesting. im not hot natured either - i guess its what you are used to
yes i get a base tan prior to roo. im pale but i tan well. i never ever burn - not ever. so i just put some stuff on my face and a tad on my shoulders and off i go
I'm super excited about them, but I don't know what to pair them with. Any suggestions? Also, I was wondering what you girls think about the asymmetrical skirt look (shorter in the front and longer in the back)?
My mom totally took me to TJ Maxx on Friday and I got like... 5-6 dresses and a few other assorted items. A few of the dresses could CERTAINLY work for Roo and the rest of the fests!! Yeah booyyyyy

I like the asymmetrical skirts as well as the ones who are longer on the sides, like it goes into a point. I think those would look good with a below the knee skirt or short shorts, the kind that are high waisted. An eyelet skirt would be perfect or gausey light material.

I could definitely see these paired with a long tie-dye maxi skirt or something flowy and comfortable like that. I soooooo wish I could pull these tops off because they are adorable!!
