Kinda sad I won't be there this year, but it just wasn't in the cards. There's always next year!!! I'll be thinking of you all and watching from home! Hope all of you have the best Bonnaroo ever, and for the first years...don't be surprised if you have an epiphany and realize you need to come back every year!
Linz, we'll have to do some sort of GFT meetup at Forecastle
Definitely!!! I've never made it to the Inforoo brunch or anything, so I literally know no one on here, so I told the BF we're going to have to be social this year! It's the only fest I'm hitting up this summer, so I want to make the most of it!
Just wanted to say (and I`m sure I`m one of many...), that I found this board before Roo this year (my first), and this thread was super helpful! Found all kinds of great info here and I think it made my first Roo really smooth and easy! Especially coming from the mountains where it`s not very hot in the summer, I felt really prepared. Also had an amazing time and am hoping to make it back next year (and for many years after!).

Girls, I need your help! I'm going to Disney World next month and I can't decide what kind of purse/bag/etc to carry. It's been so long (13 years!) since I was last able to go, and when I was there as a kid I would always just wear fanny packs. Wasn't the height of fashion then either, but whatever. I wouldn't be totally opposed to going that route again if I knew where to find a somewhat cute one. Or I thought about just carrying a small crossbody...I have one already that could work, or I saw a cute one at Target that's also a possibility.
But I know we've discussed some moderately fashionable fanny packs on here before (and utility belts, and the like!) so I thought you girls might have some suggestions. Thoughts?
I finally broke down & bought a Kavu Rope Bag, after using a Kavu sidewinder crossbody purse for a couple of months. Used it for 1st time today at an all day camp, & I loved it. Fit my camera (DSLR), wallet, phone, toiletries, sanuks, cardigan & other small stuff.
This is the one I bought. It was on sale cheaper when I did though.

Have fun at Disney!
On a whim I picked this one up for Forecastle and it was amazing. Stayed close to my body when I was dancing, could hold a jacket, schedule, wallet, a beer (or water), and glowsticks. I often forgot I had it on. Even though Dave made fun of my color choices, it was the best 9 bucks I've spent in a while.
I aaaaalmost just pulled a trigger on a KAVU bag, Custeph! I realized that I no longer have a cute bag to use at festivals where I don't want to use my Camelbak... and Newport Folk is this weekend. I was hoping to find something on Amazon since I am a Prime member and can get the bag before the weekend... but only 2 of the 4 colors listed are Prime eligible. Such a tease.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I always do like the looks of those Kavu bags...hmm. My problem with bags/purses, though, is that I hate buying them online - it's so hard to know what you're getting when you can't see it in person and see how big it is and how squashy or not-squashy it is and how many pockets it's got and all that.

Sorry Bonzai! I got super lucky & got one for $36 shipped (thanks Prime!) a couple weeks ago. I'll let you know if I see them cheap again.

I know, I tend to be the same way. I debated getting one for awhile, way before Roo. Maybe you can find a store close to you to check them out. As for the bag, it's pretty flat/compact. It has 2 outside pockets. I kept phone in one & chapstick & stuff in the other. Then there are 2 zippered sections. Bigger one I got camera, shoes, & wallet in. Other I put smaller stuff.
made a few wreaths this summer, thought you girls might want to see.
here is one i made for my mom (she wanted a "summer time fun" one) and one i made for a friend who is having a baby. they don't know the gender, and are using white and gray for the nursery.
And I love seeing posts in the GFT this far into the year. EAP i love your wreaths - I made a yarn wreath for my door last year - it's dark hot pink and charcoal gray - GIRLY AUTUMN. LOVE that one for the baby's room!

I know it's off season but in my searching for kids stuff I found Totsy has a bunch of maxis and sundresses for $15 or less plus free shipping if it is your first order. I hope no one minds that I'm putting my referral link in. If so just go to the website www.totsy.com/invite/katbur2_5866734/
Nothing like looking at roo clothes when I'm FREEZING!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.
