I'd bring stuff you wouldn't be upset to lose, break, or have melt. Basically, don't be upset when your nice MAC lipstick is destroyed like happened last year to a friend. I rarely wear makeup but always have a little bit in my purse. It's usually mascara, some eye liner, powder, and coverup. I'd recommend staying away from the soft eyeliners, it's going to be mush.
hi girls! first post here! this has probably been covered, but it was a bit daunting to think about going through over 200 pages to find it haha.
what are your thoughts on makeup? i'll be bringing some basics, but i'd love to hear what you girls are bringing/not bringing and any recommendations as this is my first roo!
Don't wear any? I only wear eyeliner....You sweat so much, I just don't see the point because it will all be wiped off in an hour.
I do know lots of people that wear make up and I have no idea how they keep it on......

I wore make-up my first Roo and I have never worn it since. With in the first hour it melted off my fave and was dripping everywhere. I took off my sunglasses and my hubby and his friend busted out laughing.. I looked like a raccoon with my eye make up every where! So for now I just go Au'Natural!

Personally, as far as makeup, I didn't wear any last year. This year I tossed a waterproof felt-tip liquid eyeliner in my cart at the last minute and I have a one-step mineral foundation that I keep in my glovebox in my car. I am having a horrible, horrible stress breakout thanks to my last finals week EVER so I just might do a light application of the foundation and see how that goes just because I get super self-conscious to have red spots all over my face. But probably, I won't be wearing anything.

I packed a mascara. Thats it, though. I did consider throwing in some waterproof eyeliner (I use stila or makeup forever's eyeliners for derby, if that doesn't make it sweat/rub/melt off, nothing will)... but then I decided I probably don't want to deal with trying to get it off afterward. Too much effort for me at roo.
I'm packing mineral foundation and an eyebrow pencil. I'm too self-conscious to go totally natural but my usual makeup routine involves at least 8 products so this is a big step for me.
Finalizing my packing list tomorrow (I better since we leave at 4 AM Wednesday!) and I'll post my stats then.

i bring eyeshadow (def have primer), eyeliner, mascara, and tons and tons of glitter. loose glitter, paint glitter, spray glitter, etc. and body paint. I dont own cheap cheap makeup and feel comfortable with what i have and will just keep it in a cool place. i didnt have any problems last year. i usually only wore make up at night tho.. i
i use wet and wild self adjusting foundation. it goes on white and then adjusts. i LOVE it. i may also take mineral foundation. i remember to reapply foundation more than i remember to reapply just sunscreen. also, most good sunscreen gets in my eyes and HURTS like a MF. i will ALWAYS wear mascara. i like to take lipstick as it can tell better when its worn off and i am reminded to reapply.
Au naturaaaaal, baby. I've worn makeup (at least some basic) since I have been 13 or so. My mom is a makeup queen, so I grew up with YOU HAVE TO WEAR IT OR YOU ARE UGLY. That being said, I wear ZERO makeup at festivals. Although, I was pondering how ugly I will feel meeting a bunch of you at Brunch and it kinda makes me wish that I packed some..
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

So I was debating whether to ask this in the rootu thread or here, but I'd rather have you ladies' opinion without all the guys chiming in... Would it be overkill you think to wear frilly panties with my tutu? For late night, not for brunch. What do you think?

The only thing I'll be really upset if I forget would be my wristband! I made sure that's in my bag that's in the car with me. I just need to organize everything tonight after I clean out my car.

I think it would depend on your personality and the individual tutu.
I went to Marshall's on my lunch break and bought some jeans. The chillier nights are making me nervous!

Oh, Amazon Prime. You never let me down. Ordered a pack of 100 glowy bracelets with one day shipping yesterday, thought they might not make it in time. They're out for delivery as of 7:30 this morning.
I'm running into the dilemma of how to pack a heavier blanket that I don't mind taking on the farm. Last year, I just needed the sheet. This year, I don't even think my experience as a poor college student that can't keep the heat above 65 in the winter will let me do the nights underneath just a sheet. Throwing a pair of jeans riddled with holes and a lightweight comfy hoodie into the 'Roo bag too. Kinda thrilled at the idea that it might get so chilly as to necessitate jeans at night. That's my ideal weather.
Just got my clothing sorted with less than 12 hours to go! I just packed:
4 sports bras 2 tanks with built-in bra 2 no-bra tanks 1 short-sleeved shirt 1 pair jeans 2 pairs cotton shorts 1 pair gaucho pants 2 skirts 1 tube dress 2 hoodies (1 zip, 1 pullover) 1 pair pjs (long bottoms + tank top) 7 pairs underwear 4 pairs socks 1 bikini 1 swim coverup 1 pair footless tights 5 bandannas MAH ROOTUUUUU (which I did manage to jam into a knee-high stocking thanks to my boyfriend's help)
^oh god, looking at that I feel like I have SO MUCH stuff, but all rolled up it doesn't look so crazy! Now I just need to pack EVERYTHING into bags/boxes/cooler.
echo, I picked up a fleece blanket at Big Lots for $3 that rolls up pretty compactly and warms decently. I prefer to be hot when I sleep so I might end up using my sleeping bag instead.

usually i would be all for it! but consider the cool nights that are predicted. ive had to rearrange my outfits to adjust =(

I dont know much about using different items for makeup but I know how what are the places where you can get some great variety like Sephora and Sears. Here you will get all the latest make up accessories and you some time you purchase more than actually you were supposed to shop. I have always great experience at Sears because here I got the collection of every thing from beauty to apparels. I often get some tremendous discounts through Sears Promo Code by using its coupons for shopping and able to do huge shopping. Hopefully you may get a an idea about the shopping but somebody has to complete rest of the info
PACK ALL THE THINGS! TUTU ALL THE PEOPLE! GLITTER ALL THE FACES!
This is my mantra from now until Monday morning. ;D Dani, I can't wait to seeeeeee youuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!! MRS. DANIROO!
Ladies, I got a tupperware and im going that route for packing this year. Also, in true last minute form, i have a pile of clean clothes that I anticipate bringing, NONE of them tried on, and NONE of them organized or folded. Today after work is the final packing push and then leaving at the crack of morning!
Hope to see some GFT pins floating around out there, and all you lovely pretty things at the Brunch!!! SO MUCH LOVE!!!!

Mayo-- any chance you might bring a GFT pin to pin onto one RooTu-wearing Echo at brunch?
I think I'm all packed, ladies. All of my clothes fit into one bag that I love (two sides, zips completely around on both sides so I roll all the items, lay them side by side, and I can just flip the bag on its side and unzip to see my full array without disorganizing everything!) and everything else... well... I just couldn't keep myself from spending on Roo things, and we always overprepare, so the stack of Roo-packed bags is a little daunting for my tiny two-door Cavalier.
Just one final standing between me and the end of a quarter, my B.A. degree, and leaving for Roo!
I'm so excited to finally be meeting most of you ladies! Echo- we've had a little change in plans.. not leaving until like 9 tonight(at the LATEST) so we'll probably hit walmart at like 7ish? so you can sleep a little bit

YES MA'AM! I will have all the pins with me, so I can hand them out. This will be the third year for them I think... So I hope to get them all doled out and maybe get a new pin for next year, next year.
AND - YOUR B.A.!!! CONGRATS LADY!!! A piece of paper well-earned!! I have one, too, and it sure feels good when you finish up all the schooling to get it. We will celebrate at ROO!!!!
