Yup, CKS looked to get one too, but I had already commandeered the best one And Mayo- it was after the Mayomobile left on Sunday afternoon. We sent the books to hang out alone as we shopped. ;D I'll try to take a picture of it tonight and load it. I cannooottt waiiiittttt to use it!!
I use the women's and I LOVE IT. I am slightly obsessed even. When I first bought it in 2010, it even slept on the pillow next to me for almost a year (oh maybe that's why I am single?!). Men's or women's... GET ONE! I even have a Camelbak water bottle
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

WHERE WAS I DURING THIS MOOG SHOPPING SPREE?! I wanna see it bonz, post pics.
katbur - I use a women's camelbak. It's the jam. I have physically put on a mens version and then put on a women's version - I def like the women's better bc the straps are sliiiiightly more curved, making room for the lady lumps. Also, the chest strap is generally adjustable, but it goes up higher for women, so it's more up on top of the boobs, as opposed to down under them or over the "apex" if you know what im talkin' bout. ...And they come in prettier colors. ;D
It was Sunday afternoon, most of the pandas flew the coop by then!
And second everything you said here about lady camelbaks. Definitely fit the lady bits much better. I tried on a boy one at the store and it wasn't nearly as comfortable.
Do you ladies generally use a Camelbak and if yes is it one of the "women's models" or a regular one? Have you noticed a big difference? I think I'm gonna finally take the plunge this year.
I bought this one right before Roo 2011 & I love it. Gives me plenty of room for all my stuff, & it hides my DSLR well so I can sneak it in. It is the women's version, I believe the Day Star model.

This is mine:
(Camelbak Trinity)
It holds 100oz of water and everything I could ever need in centeroo. I also love that it can be cinched down pretty flat with the green side straps, when I'm not feeling like being a pack mule.
I think this is like mine. It's it's Day Star like Custeph's, but it must be just a different (older?) model. You can see mine only has one big pocket that opens on the top and you can see the zipper on the right that opens the reasonably sized front pocket (which zips vertically and is my fav part).

I have the Daystar too. water and storage I had a smaller Camelbak but got this 1 as a gift and it's more realistic with carrying around a poncho, blanket, etc.
Another Day Star owner here. It gives you the storage space of a real backpack, in addition to the bladder, so you can bring anything you could possibly need into Centeroo. Just don't let your friends shove their shit in there- it can get heavy Not sure about the new model, but the old model has a built in rain cover, and the pocket it's stored in is very hidden if you know what I'm sayin'. I have no boobs, so the strap fit isn't an issue for me, but I haven't tried a men's version to compare it to.
So I made a bandeau top using this tutorial, and it turned out really well. With my jugs, this thing is just for under a low back top, but I know some of you are looking for braless options. If you sew, I definitely recommend checking it out. blog.girlybubble.com/2011/06/22/diy-bandeau-bras/
Okay so thanks for all the camelback feedback ladies. I'd been holding out because I didn't think it would give enough storage I am convinced.
One more piece of advice needed, cold weather makes the lips chap so I use lip balm and then I get a zit on my lower lip. Any suggestions of brands that are less likely to make me look like I have herpes!
Nooooo my Prime just expired. I thought I had a few more weeks.
Anyway. Last year I saw someone in here mention that they carry a flannel for latenights because it's way less bulky than a hoodie. Target has their winter stuff on clearance right now, and I saw lots of flannels on the rack.

Yes! Pack a lightweight flannel shirt. It folds up neat and small and will help keep the chilly night air off of your shoulders and arms.

One good thing I did last year was carry a maxi skirt on me at all times. It can create a nice pillow/towel for lying down during the day and at night when things would get chilly I would just slip it over my shorts and it would hold in a little more heat. Easier than pants IMO, easy to carry around, and has multiple uses.
I got mine at Target last year for a pretty good price. I'm sure they'll have them there and other places too.

Are you making a RooTu this year? I've just started planning mine for this year.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Absolutely! I actually lost mine in a move a couple months ago, which I'm not sure how I did...
Do you have your colors picked out? I'm not sure what I'm leaning towards this time. Decisions, decisions!
Welcome, Meadow! GFT is a FABULOUS first place to post! I'm currently working on a Wanee-tu, but then I'll being making a rootu or two... it's SO exciting to plan each color scheme!

Wow, last year was the first in 5 that I ever considered the evening "chilly". I have a bad feeling we're going to get cooked this year since it's later than usual. I guess I'll decide when we get closer.
