I have really curly, frizzy hair. Anybody else have this problem? My hair is longish.. If I wear it down when it's all frizzy like that, I'm afraid it would feel way too hot. And it poofs up into a cotton ball and not an attractive one. I wish I had hair that looked good all natural like that! Anyway.. what do you do with your hair? I don't wear hats. I have a round head.. round face.. they don't fit right and also they look terrible on me.
Last year I kept it in two braids or a big bun on top of my head.. which worked but still looked pretty terrible. I didn't want to show anybody any Bonnaroo pictures that I was in because I looked horrible. Of course it's Bonnaroo and I don't really care while there.. but it would be nice to look half way decent sometime there!
Pigtails...french braids...french braid headband w/ a side pony...There are tons of video tutorials on YouTube for cool braids and updos. I usually just go with pigtails, they're cute and easy. Braids are the best if you can do them though, because curly/frizzy hair left to blow around in the wind for three or four days is a nightmarish tangled mess when you go home or try to comb it out. Mine basically turns into a huge dread.

I do lots if braids and twisty things. Cute, and it keeps my bangs and shorter layers under control. This blog has lots of fun video tutorials that I learned from www.cutegirlshairstyles.com/
I straighten my hair really well the night before I leave for Roo then wear it in a braid (like the Katniss, but I was doing it first!) so that if I do wear it down for a bit it's not crazy and then it's smoother to put into a pony or a bun. I also don't wash my hair at Roo even if I do shower.
Has anyone had any experience with Birkenstock sandals? At Bonnaroo or just in general?
I've had some Birkenstocks before. They are comfy but I personally don't think they are worth the price. And there's no way in hell I'd take them to Roo because they would be so disgusting by the end!

I always bring birks with me as a backup. I wear flip flops almost exclusively- even at Roo. I bring birks as well juuust in case the thong starts bothering me, etc. It wears on a different part of the foot so it's a good alternative. The one day I did actually wear them out, I thought their soles were too hard.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
6pm.com has Sanuks for $20-$38. I feel like they're always on sale there.
I've never seen this site before. It's making me really happy. Have you bought stuff from them before? Thanks for sharing!
I order from 6pm probably 2-3 times a year and other than the free shipping option being a touch slow all my experiences have been really good. I'm on the prowl for some new footwear too (last time I mostly wore Toms like a dork) so I'm definitely going to check out Sanuks for this year!

I got a pair of Sanuks for this year. I've been wearing them fairly often to make sure they are broken in enough. I love them so far but I'm thinking about buying some Tevas too. Last year, by Saturday night, I could barely stand. My feet were very swollen and in pain.
So I just ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses (purple) and a pair of regular glasses (red) from Zenni Optical. I added reflective coat to both because there is a 50% promo code until March 19th.
My total for BOTH pairs with shipping etc. was $31.76!! SO excited because I've never had prescription sunglasses before because they are so expensive.
My glasses arrived today!! Both fit perfectly and I don't see any issues with the prescription. I need it to be sunny so I can wear my sunglasses!!
I've ordered from 6PM a few times before. I have bought Sanuks as well as other shoes (I'm currently wearing a pair of Timberland sandals at work right now that I bought through them). They're great. Everything as ordered and in their correct box (or bag in Sanuk's case).

I hate you! Now I am shopping on their site...... After this weekend I realized I need hiking pants of some kind, because jeans just don't work.

My problem is that I have very bad arches in my feet so I need something with a lot of arch support. Sanuks don't seem like they have much of a sole at all (maybe I'm wrong, just judging off of pictures). Any suggestions?

Keens! Although they are my answer to everything shoe related

Aesthetically I love Keens. However, my feet are not made for them. I've tried various hikers and sandals. I keep trying because they look so comfortable and so many folks swear by them.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

I got my 6pm.com order. Came earlier than I anticipated and had a free sample of Tom's of Maine toothpaste. The only problem I have is that I ordered the wrong size. So I need to exchange them.
I know this has probably been mentioned before --- but here goes. I'm a long distance runner and to prevent rubbing raw or blisters (or even toe nails, it happens..) smear your feet with vaseline. If you're wearing socks, smear the bottom of your feets, and inbetween each toe. Its a yucky feeling at first, but when you can still walk later, you'll be thanking yourself. I've never done it at a festival type setting (this will be my first roo) but I plan on doing it. I'm sure i'll get dirty feet, but i'm sure id get that either way.
On a side note, I once went to new orleans and no one told me not to wear flip flops (my go to shoe). I wore flip flops and accidentally stepped on a broken dildo in the middle of street (it was crowded, dark, and new years eve... 'nuff said) and I figured bonnaroo probably wouldn't be much different so I doubt i'll be wearing many sandals. LOL.

I wore flip flops Sunday morning and afternoon before the storms last year. Honestly, it felt good for a few hours. No way I could do it all weekend though.

Flops are doable at 'Roo and the ground is usually preferable to something like Bourbon street haha
The vaseline thing could work if you wear socks and sneakers or rain boots but something more breathable might be nicer.

Sketchers Go Walk slip-ons are like clouds. They are a stretchy nylon material, so they aren't the most breathable things in the world, but they are SOOO comfortable on my flat feet.
