I am trying to pull out clothes that I will bring with me right now. My summer clothes are my favorite clothes, though, so I want to bring everything. Packing for Bonnaroo is always harder than packing for a "normal" trip because I never know what I'll be in the mood to wear, thus making it impossible for me to pack light. Ughhhh
LOl I think we are all obsessed with not running out of clean underwear I always bring twice as many as I could possibly wear.
Yup. I'm all for minimal clothing packing and maximum undies packing.
Lol glad to see this is a theme! I always pack so many pairs becuse, "what if I run out?!?" I never seem to pack enough clothes. Since this is my first time flying for a festival I'm trying to figure out the logistics of what to bring. So far it's a few outfits, a lot of cliff bars, all the undies and a flashlight. I think I may wear my rain boots to the airport because they take up so much space. I won't know what to do with them. Anyone here pack boots?
Hola all, does anyone have experience returning Sanuks? I ordered some since I felt like they were some of the most popular comfy bonnashoes, but I'm sad to say they aren't comfy for me the bottoms are great, but after only an hour of wear they cut up the back of my ankle. I'm really hoping they'll let me return them since they were $55 but I know places usually don't let you once you've worn them.
super bummed! Gonna look for some comfy sandals like the ones I wore last year at the outlet mall this weekend
If u wore them outside then u may be stuck with them but indoors is fine. Also depends on who you bought them from and what their polices are... I agree that sanuks are not for me and especially not for roo.

I packed rain boots for my trip to Glastonbury last year. I put them on the bottom of my suitcase and shoved rolled up shirts and underwear inside the boots (no wasted space!). However, the boots did not come back home with me because I had bought too many souvenirs and there wasn't any room in my bag for the trip home.
I personally don't bring rain boots to Roo because I found that they are really too hot and too bulky to wear around. If it rains, I will just wear my crocs and wash my feet off later. Mud doesn't bother me so much.

Agreed about the rain boots. Mine are a little too big and not comfy, plus SO hot with socks on. I may bring them just in case, but I would rather get my Keens muddy, or if its really bad I will wear my crocs and wash them off. It's just easier and more comfortable.

Thanks, I wore them briefly outside, but I don't even see any signs of wear on the bottom, so I might be okay. I'm going to at least give it a try. I bought them directly from the Sanuk website. This sucks. I'm working every day until I leave for Roo and barely have time to shop now.

Most places give u 30 days so u could return them after if u didn't need that money but... I'm concerned that u also need time to break in new shoes... Do u have any old comfy sneakers? Even if they're ugly u could spray paint them/swap out the laces/glitter glue patterns... basically rooify a pair that u don't need to shop for/pay for/break in. Wishing u the best!! Omg so close!!
Um, I bring a huge duffel bag stuffed full of clothing. In 2012, on Monday morning, I was actually out of clothing. I think I changed clothes 3-4 times per day that year. I'd rather have too many than not enough. And I always bring 10 pairs of underwear. I too am terrified that I will somehow run out of clean underwear.
This is me too except that I don't end up wearing two thirds of the stuff I bring. I just can't help going "BUT WHAT IF?!" when I'm packing! So yeah, I bring an enormous duffel bag that I am pretty sure I could fit in if I had to.

I wore rain boots briefly one other year, and yes they are way too hot. I do think I will bring them this year though, just in case. Hoping I don't need them though!
Anyone have experience with cutting up t-shirts into tanks? I know there are a million tutorials online, but thought maybe someone could give me some tips or has a tutorial they like to follow. I've tried doing this a few times before and I always end up ruining my shirt to the point of no return.

This is my favorite style to make- it's pretty easy and I have yet to ruin any of my shirts.

My bag is packed!!! I found a nice soft sided bag in my hubby's travel stuff and have 10 dresses, 2 skirts, capri pants, 2 tanks, 1 hoodie, 3 bras, more undies than I could ever need, and some ponchos. I figure I have room in my car so I'm just bringing lots of choices.

My fave is always cutting the neck line to make an off the shoulder tee. I actually just tie dyed a tee and when I cut the neckline, I cut too big. I just kept playing with it and ended up making cross cross straps to hold it up. My point is, even if you mess up, the shirt can still probably be salvaged. Just get creative!
I did it, y'all! Clothing for two adults for five days in one carry on. Packing Level: Champion!
Sorry for the ginormous picture!
Edit: Contents of the suitcase include...
-4 pairs of shorts for the husband -6 t-shirts for the husband -6 pairs of socks and 5 pairs of underwear -4 tanks /tees for me -4 pairs of leggins + 3 pairs bike shorts -3 dresses -5 pairs of underwear and 2 sports bras for me -1 pair soffe shorts for just hanging around camp -Front pocket contains toiletry bag for two people -2 hoodies will be placed on top before zipping up
Thanks girl! I recommend that y'all try the rolling technique. It also helps minimize wrinkles!
I used that rolling method for a work trip last week. I did feel like a super star! Plus, my husband got to hear all about all the things I've learned from Inforoo.
Just finished packing up. 3 dresses, 2 skirt outfits, tons of socks, undies & bras, mad matter costume stuff, glow sticks and wands, pillow, sleeping bag and snacks all in my hiking pack. Success.
My bag weighs almost 35lbs so I'm not sure if I'm going to bring a cooler or not because I'm also carrying on my cot. It may be too much for me to haul over to T.O. Any of you ladies who fly in bring a cooler? I'm flying southwest so I'm trying to take advantage of the free checked bags but I don't know how much I'll be able to haul by myself.

Are guys allowed to post in here? Should I cover my eyes? Oh my gawd, are those things real?
My daughter Malia works in NY (on commission) for a company called BrowNY International. They make wild hats, headpieces, masks, and other accessories - I think mostly for people going to Burning Man or maybe costume parties. This stuff isn't cheap and great big hats don't really belong at music festivals. But if you're looking for something like that or have an idea of a piece you'd like made, let Malia know and she will hook you up. You can check some of their stuff out here.
