Any of you ladies planning to wear rompers on the farm? I personally love rompers, but I have to admit they're a struggle to take off to use the bathroom.

Absolutely not, that would be a disaster in the potties.......
it's an evil piece of clothing that looks like a cute dress when it's on the hanger, but it's actually a one-piece suit with shorts that turns you into a human square shape. but that might just be me.
Never in a million years. Like y'all said-disaster in the portos unless they made one with snaps like a baby's onesie? Hmmmmmm.....that could be useful in more ways than one.... plus, they aren't very flattering on many people.
I've seen some strapless ones in stores, which I think would be pretty easy to slip on & off...as long as you're not letting it drop to the floor in porta potties ???? just considering diff options than my usual shorts & tanks at Roo <3
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.
I just finished making 5 3-tiered skirts to wear this year. I customized them with a zippered pocket--I lost $100 out a narrow pocket on a pair of capris at Floydfest last year and swore never again! I like my skirts to the bottom of my knee--I am a -ahem- Commando gal and if I make them too short I worry about giving away the money shot for free!

Hooray for zippy pockets!
I usually either go with bikini bottoms under my tutus or sometimes just put them on over a dress so I would also have the skirt of the dress as an extra layer. If it's evening, throw in leggings or footless tights.

I'm getting ready to shop for tulle to make my rootoo, and as a woman of size I need to ask: d'ya think darker colors would have a more slimming effect?

with the poofy-ness of them, it doesn't really matter. mine was bright and was fine.
A year ago I invested in a Herschel 'hip pack' which is really just a silly fancy name for a fanny pack. It was so perfect for roo last year - it fit my iPhone, mophie battery, cash, rain ponchos, and other little accessories. pockets can't do the job and i hate wearing a backpack / carrying a bag in the heat, and the fanny pack was just so....easy. i love it so much and it has made me a very happy camper - literally, i camp with the thing, hike and boat with it. the one i got is a little big but i won't carry anything else during the day on the farm (aside from my camelback which i clip onto it) here's a pic of what it looks like while wearing. sorry if fanny packs have been discussed to death here, i just love mine so much i wanted to share

Thinking of trying to come up with some sort of small bag like that...either a fanny pack or just a small crossbody bag, something that I could wear in conjunction with one of my smaller Camelbaks. When I stash all my stuff in the Camelbak it's just too much of a hassle to get to it...I end up not taking as many pictures because my phone/camera isn't as readily accessible, not being as tuned-in to what's happening when because my schedule is tucked away back there, etc. This year I either want a smaller thing that will keep my phone/guide/etc closer to hand, or maybe I'll just ditch the Camelbak and go back to carrying a larger crossbody bag and toss a water bottle in it.

This made me LOL because this happened to me about 8 different times at Target last weekend. They had such cute patterns, but then I would pick it up and cuss out loud because it wasn't a dress....it was a romper.

Finally broke down and purchased some bike shorts to wear under my dresses. I've been testing them out over the past few days but have a concern. Do any of you ladies wear underwear with bike shorts? I'm finding the underwear to be.... uncomfortable.

Yes, but I do know what you're talking about. I'm just not completely liberated yet to toss the undies!

I love my hip bag! It's perfect for festivals. Hands free, and I just clip all my extra stuff to it - water bottle, scarf, flow wand, whatevs. It a lot more comfortable than a cross body bag IMO-don't end up with sore, sunburned shoulders. I got mine from Mishu Boutigue. They have a ton of canvas and leather ones. Very fairy-esque www.mishuboutique.com

They have short slips that are very similar to biking shorts but not as spandexy. I think I have one pair that feels just like my most comfortable leggings. I will get the brand for you, when I get home tonight.

Those are great prices! I have a leather one but it doesn't hold a whole lot. I mostly rely on my camelback to hold my stuff but it gets annoying when trying to dance.

Same here! There was a romper I was seriously considering cutting the crotch out of because it was so cute.

The one I have has 2 small pockets and a big one. 1 for my phone, 1 for money, and one for sunscreen, TP, etc. Plus there are 2 hidden pockets which fit a 4 oz flask perfectly ????. I used to carry a tone of stuff, but I like that this makes me choose more wisely. I still carry a back pack when I need like a hoody or blanket, but even then, this makes it easier to get to my phone and money.
