Jamberry nail strips are pretty popular and they have lots of cool designs. I've tried some of mine once and they definitely lasted much longer than nail polish. I had a friend say they'll still get dirty living thorugh a festival, but that may be better than regular nail polish or seeing your dirty nails. I may try adding clear polish over it and seeing if it holds up for Bonnaroo.
You may know a friend that sells them, so if you do, give them credit by using their specific URL. I know an acquaintance that sells them, so if you want to buy under her URL to give someone credit if you're gonna buy but don't know anyone, here's her link: leslieann.jamberrynails.net/
Not to take away from your friend I just came in to post this and then noticed yours :/
I can french braid, but may or may not be too drunk at brunch to it. When I drink, I don't have patience for things like that. I am the anti-drunk texter. Text? Ain't nobody got time fo that.
And yeah.. shorts... dresses... YOU DO YOU. I personally think shorts are the devil and don't even own a pair besides work out shirts. But that's just me
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
What is the general consensus on maxi dresses at a festival? I have one that would be comfy but I'm second guessing myself. Will all that fabric be too hot?
Also, I'm starting to plan out what I want to pack and I'm trying to decide how many outfits are too many. Will I want to re-wear things (sweatshirts/pants for evening) or should I plan on a day time outfit (cooler) and night time outfit (a bit warmer)? I want to be cute but weather appropriate/functional.

A maxi dress may be kinda hot, I usually wear shorter dresses. As far as night time I usually pack costumes and then a pair of pants or two and a hoodie incase it's cold. It's nice to have something warmer to throw on if you're sitting around at camp. If you're up in the crowd you may still want to wear light clothing but if your hanging out in the back of a show it definitely is a lot cooler.

IMO it's too much fabric. Out of my 8 years going, I've only worn a long dress at roo ONCE, and I was constantly pulling it up for air/ease of walking/avoiding mud.
Shorter sundress + leggings and hoodie/sweater/pullover for night time is pretty close to perfect. If you prefer shorts like a weirdo, you can go that route too

I can french braid and I love doing stuff like that when I'm drunk. I can't say how great it will look... Lol.

I love long, flowy dresses, but don't usually wear them at Roo because I just get too hot. I stick to shorter dresses - the less fabric, the better I wore a longer sun dress at Shaky Knees last week and could hardly stand to be under that much fabric. It wasn't near as hot there as Bonnaroo will be!

I'm the opposite of everyone else: I do wear maxi dresses at Roo. Not every day but at least one day. The extra fabric doesn't bother me, but do what is most comfortable for you. I always bring way too many clothes anyway and decide the day-of what I'm going to wear.
And yes, bring a change of clothes for evening. I overpack and bring too much clothing, but I'd rather have too much than not enough! The only things I re-wear at Roo at my sleeping clothes and the leggings I wear during the evening (because I only have two pair).
I never re-wear anything, too sweaty. Just to add to the dress debate Macy's has a MASSIVE sale on dresses this weekend. I saw some plus sizes at $18. Here's the link and be sure to figure in the extra 15% off by putting HOORAY in at checkout.

I'm short (around 5'2") and just bought a maxi skirt from Walmart a few days ago. It had a nice big foldover band at the top, so I used that to my advantage. Hiked it up a bit over my tummy, folded it down at the top seam, and ready to go. I can even wear it as a strapless dress if I keep it all unfolded. My main issue with skirts is to make sure I have some kind of shorts underneath to prevent thigh rub (as mentioned in here numerous times, of course). I should be fine on that front.
Also, I got a tennis skort and a sporty dress I liked from TJ Maxx. I'm not usually a "girly girl" or dress/skirt person, but after getting laser hair removal the past few months, I feel like I can show off my legs a bit more than usual. Might as well try to look a little cute too.

i don't know if i've mentioned it before, but this thing is amazing and it's only about $5. i wear skirts/dresses at bonnaroo and all summer, and it saves me from my thighs burning.

I've seen posts about different gels/powders/etc to help, but I just stick with shorts to make it easier on myself. Thanks for the suggestion though
I use plain ole vaseline. Bc vaseline never dies. It stays there for days.
I'm trying to come up with a funny reply for this....it oughta be there, but I got nuthin'....
Trust me. I've heard them all lol I just like vaseline bc it never dries up like other products so i don't have to keep reapplying. At least, in my long distance running days. For walking, it'll be strictly for my thighs. Bc #justsaynotothighgap
I wear long skirts, but oy if they are super light and can be tied up shorter. I really like those lace maxi skirts with the short under skirt that are out right now. Gives you the look of a maxi, but it's breezy like a short skirt. Best of both worlds.
Any of you ladies planning to wear rompers on the farm? I personally love rompers, but I have to admit they're a struggle to take off to use the bathroom.
