Should i wax before or just shave or just nair it up?
use fricken lasers...
if you must, shave wed night somewhere and then forget it. unless you have ocd, i think your hairy legs/armpits/etc will be the last thing on your or anyone else's mind.
I've tried a home waxing which didn't go well AT ALL and when using Nair the hair grew back about the same speed as shaving
So I'd just shave, but it also prolly depends on how often you shave too. It seems the less you shave the slower it grows back. Letting things grow out a bit longer before 'roo and then shaving the day you leave seems to work well. Otherwise I'd say find a good/trusted place to get waxed.
...i know this has been discussed somewhere on here before any one know where it's at?
One day i'll invest in some frickin' lasers...when they're not so frickin' expensive!
You'll definitely have a blast... Probably some of the most important tips:
Drink lots of water- gatorade and similar drinks are also helpful for restoring your energy. Personally I like the emergen-c packets. High spf sunscreen! Baby wipes (so many helpful uses!) The dust often made me sneeze a lot, so tissues/allergy medicine may also a good idea Shade for outside of your tent Portable shower if you're not going vip (being clean is nice but, I found showering at sundown was a great way to refresh yourself. I felt SOOOOOO much better afterwards! Plus you could always shave then!)

I think it was discussed in last years "girly fashion thread', but if you don't feel like sifting through the old one, feel free to post in the 2008 thread.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I suppose ladies suffer some of the same problems guys do as far as chaffing down there goes...though I will admit i've never asked.
Assuming you do that, I would say go with whatever method reduces friction the MOST and the LONGEST. Basically normal chaffing is bad enough, but I would HATE to be 1/2 way through the weekend and be dealing w/ chaffing and STUBBLE. OUCH!!! *cringe*
Beyond that, dont try and do it all...because you can't and you'll just wear yourself out. ENJOY what you're seeing, dont stress over what you're AREN'T, and remember that everyone else in the world is either at work or sitting at home...while you're hangin' out at a big old party for four days!!

i shaved last year wednesday night before we left. honestly thinking that i was hairy was the last thing on my mind. plus your dirty anyway...you might as well just deal with the small amount of stubble

A little feeling in my gut that I get of late when I think about these cats running the world with hate
I shaved Wednesday night and never thought about it again. I probably had stubble and all that but really didn't care... it took two showers to get all the Roo dust off me when I got home... no one noticed, I didn't care and I am a girly girl. I did worry and brought a razor but never used it.
I do recommend Certain Dri to keep the pits sweet smelling. Roll it on as you're rolling into the sleeping bag if you remember and use 2 weeks beforehand and you don't have the issue of wondering if your deodorant is up to snuff.
Visit the girly fashion thread, and ask all the questions you like. We hope to be helpful! ;D

Karma for saying this! As a girl, I always wondered if boys dealt with chaffing, but never asked either Then reading this board pre 2007 Roo helped clear that up for me
And I'm with the other women here - I shaved Wednesday night and didn't think about it. Until I saw some women in line for the troughs with razors and shaving gel, which just seemed WAY too complicated for me.
And used Certain Dri and wore bike shorts with my skirts.
Although all of this is in the girlie fashion thread.

i've got some seriously thick hair allover, with a very bad tendency to get ingrown hairs. i cannot shave, or 2 hours later, i will not be able to walk. so i went to my favorite salon and got a wax before bonnaroo. i would definitely recommend the wax that is heated (not HOT, just warm) i've tried all kinds, and the sugar wax is not effective, and the room temp. wax from brazil just doesn't get the little hairs. definitely go with the warm wax, in my opinion. it feels good for a few seconds before they pull it off, it almost makes you forget you're about to have a bit of pain.
oh, and the first time of waxing is always the worst. i've been waxing for 6 years now, and while it still hurts, it isn't nearly as bad as it was the first time. stick it out, and you'll be happy w/ the results! if you're really worried about the pain, take a couple of advil before you go, and ask the girl doing your wax to put a small amount of pressure on the spot where you were waxed just after she removes the wax. it really helps.

i always wanted to wax, but never have...maybe one day i will work up the courage...
I've waxed and it really isn't that bad. Think about all the things girls put themselves through. Waxing is less painful than wearing 4" heels all night.

exactly
the only "shower" i had the entire time was at centeroo, and there was no soap involved. there are 80k other people who will (more or less) be just as dirty/stubbly/smelly as you are. and i promise the smoothness of your legs is the LAST thing on yours, or anyone else's, mind.
just shave on wednesday, and show up for the party. it will all take care of itself!
