Okay, not really beer. I dislike beer intensely. I know, but you'll get over it. Does anyone know of "girl beer" or malt liquor that comes in something other than glass? The search isn't working for me for posts older than a month, so I apologize if this has been asked previously.

box wine isnt bad. im drinking hardy's shiraz. its...very average.
anyone have a better suggestion?
i dont know about girl beer - whatever that is - but there are plenty of malt liquor options. mike's? there must be some other plastic bottles with alcoholic carbonated unnaturally colored beverages in them
you would be way better off just drinking liquor and a mixer if beer isnt your thing.

Have you tried the Fisheye in a box (or wine cask - as they call it)? It is a pretty good pinot grigio.
I kinda take offense to the "girl beer" remark. I'm a girl, and I like beer.
Hmmmm....whats that beer mixed with the energy drink stuff? The one that kinda tastes like Tang. That comes in a can. I sure there must be others.
I'm sorry I offended you. I'm not fond of it, either, and that's why I used quotes around it. It's what a lot of people around here use to refer to malt liquor (and usually have no idea what malt liquor is or have never heard of it at all, just "girl beer"). I know lots of women enjoy beer. I'm just not one of them. I didn't mean to imply otherwise.
As to other drinks: I'm not fond of wine, either, I'm afraid. When I do drink, I'm usually a vodka girl or have amaretto sours or something fruity. I've found, however, that doesn't work all that well in my stomach when it's 95 out, but Smirnoff Ice, Mike's, etc. seem to work fine. I bring out the real liquor when the sun goes down. Unfortunately, I can't drink Sparks or any of the other highly caffeinated drinks.
Thanks for the Mike's tip, idioteque. I haven't found it around here in plastic bottles so far, but I'll keep looking.
I don't have to drink during the day, and had no problem not doing so last year. I just wondered if I had any good options for malts. And kind of feel like an ass for it.

im not a huge white wine fan... but i will try one of thier reds based on this suggestion

I'm going to have really start rooting around. I haven't been able to find any of them in plastic, just glass. I don't know about rum and Coke...actually haven't tried it. At 24 I went from not drinking at all straight to drinking Chopin and Belvedere with nipple on the bottle. Not really, but you get the idea.

shit, if you like liquor, then you should go for some gin and tonics. the best summer drink ever. i suggest hendrick's gin and use cucumber slices instead of lime. they are just amazing.

Heh, yeah, it isn't about choking it down, it's that if I do it when it's still hot out, I'm gonna barf. I'll give some of those a try beforehand and see what my best option is.
why not just make a 'chick drink' i.e. mailbu+pineapple, thats money in the bank....
and i actually think that would taste great in the morning....
edit: imma do malibu and pineapples in the morning...
Might I suggest going for some Scooby Snacks, which are Malibu, pineapple juice, and Midori (some also add whipped cream and/or milk as well). It is delicious! One of the few fruity shooters/shots I enjoy, but you could make it into a larger drink too.
