I agree on Neil Young, that'd be sweet, in addition to Van Morrison, the Long Beach Dub All-Stars, the Low Life, and a suprise Michael Jackson appearence.
OH, long beach would be nice, as would the morrison, but please leave mr jackson out of this.....lol

THE MARS VOLTA...THE MARS VOLTA....THE MARS VOLTA Bjork The Roots Kool Keith Handsome Boy Modeling School Violent Femmes (not sure if they're even still together..so pardon my ignorance)
Im not much into rap music but some people like the chemical brothers or fatboy slim or just some big named dj's to do a late night dance party even though i dont dance much, but thats why I go to bonnaroo. I loved last year, i dont listen to hardly any jam bands but thats what made bonnaroo special, i went with an open mind (you radiohead haters) and had a great time.
Arctic Monkeys would be a pretty cool addition. They would kind of fit into the "IT" band category. I think they are in the US through March and April. It might not be a stretch to see them here in June. However, I have no idea what European dates they've committed to.
handsome boy modeling school puts on one of the most hilarious shows ive ever seen they played hob in chicago and came on at 230 am and went strong till six
also while im at it mice parade would be a great addition dont sleep on them people
I was listening to last year's cd they gave us and I remembered that The Music wasn't actually there. i think it would be a great show if they were there. Oh yeah....Mars Volta too.

Yeah, i've been listenin to that cd too, and it definitly gets you excited, (as if we arent already). But i would totally agree, The Music should be there, both of their discs are very good, and would put on an amazing late nite show (think marsvolta)

I would definatly take some x ecutioners, z trip, and danger mouse, still seems to be lacking dj's, i think, or atleast hope, the next round will address this.
Maybe there are some people I'm not familiar with, but it seems to me that so far, there is less hip-hop listed than in previous years; and I know that one of my boyfriend's favorite shows was the X-ecutioners in '04.....I was asleep, but he said that it had one of the best atmospheres (very party like) and a HUGE crowd.....and we both really enjoyed the Jurassic 5 show last year; a lot of energy, very fun
One of my favorite shows last year was the 2am De La Soul show. I had a helluva time and all that late night dancing actually made me able to sleep through some of that early morning heat. That being said, there is alot I'd rather see added over more hip hop, especially since I'll get my late night dancing (I'm assuming) out of Damian Marley.

In no special order:
John Butler Trio North Mississippi AllStars String Cheese Keller Williams Ben Harper Willie Nelson Neil Young Yonder Mountain Codetalkers Drive By Truckers Govt Mule Galactic Greyboy Allstars Hot Tuna Los Lobos Drew Emmitt Band
Hot Tuna would be amazing. I didn't know they were still around. Lol, the only record I have of theirs is my dad's. Galactic I'd also love to see, but I think it's kind of a long shot. Aren't they kind of big for not having been announced already?
greyboy allstars galactic another set of ramble dove pink floyd (hey they did it for live aid) or a pink floyd laser light show george clinton jenna j and ron jeremy greenday another set of les trey solo and panic white stripes jamiroquai string cheese particle polyphonic soundspree jazz mandolin project uncle johns band mos def and fuckit, the afro celt sound system

It might be farfetched, but I'd love to see The Decemberists added.
Nothing far fetched about that. They played Vegoose.
For that very reason though, I don't see them popping up at Roo this year.
But you've got to think, Beck, Phil Lesh, Trey Anastasio, Devendra Banhart, and a few others played Vegoose too and they're still at Bonnaroo this year.
Other bands I'd like added: Okkervil River Wolf Parade Bonnie Prince Billy Mountain Goats The New Pornographers MF Doom (under any of his various aliases, though I'd like to see DangerDoom the best. That'd bring Danger Mouse along.) Patrick Wolf The Silver Jews (Maybe we could see a Stephen Malkmus/David Berman reunion.) Sufjan Stevens Ted Leo David Bowie, but I doubt that'll happen any time soon. =P

All this talk of jam bands being mostly american reminds me of meltone. I dont know if anyone already has said them, but i think theyd be an awesome addition, can definatly jam.

String Cheese Incident... they really have to add these guys if they want to sell out the show.. people apparently just don't travel for the bands they have so far even though it's the best lineup by far Keller Williams (w/ Cheese would be nice) announcement of Page and Trey w/ Phil and Friends announcement of Oysterhead late night Saturday following Beck and Radiohead and no conflict w/ a moe. or mmw late night The Decemberists Thievery Corporation/ Danger Doom late night Saturday (for after Oysterhead) Greyboy All-Stars (again hopefully no nasty late-night conflicts although I'd probably have to see these guys over Oysterhead having already seen O-head a couple of times) ABB or Mule (Haynes has to be there) Yonder Mountain (I know, I know Telluride...) Tea Leaf Green and some non interesting big name acts like John Mayer Trio and Fiona Apple to free up space for other bands

I do love the decemberists but if you have ever been to a show in a town were you can smoke (or before any smoking bans) you may have noticed the NO SMOKING signs that they post and they will actually tell people not to smoke. Something tells me they might be to clean for this kinda fest. Plus I don't know why but I don't really want to see them there myself.
I think the New Pornographers would be a good choice, to bad they couldn't swing by with Belle & Sebastian...if that tour is still going on in june...ahhhh
