i dont think thats realistic. id say there is almost zero chance that trey will be in jail in june. things like this have a way of disappearing with rehab and fines for the rich and famous.
I was just kidding. He's rich and white- he'll never see jail time.
now if he was rich and black it would be a different story! i love the micheal jackson south park
I agree that the idea of Phish playing Bonnaroo is incredible, both in the sense that if it happened I would split open and melt with happiness, but also that it is not a credible suggestion. I just don't see it happening this year.
Every year there's people saying that Phish will play. I just don't ever see it happening unless it's unannonced. I thought it might happen in 04 cause the only person not there was Mike. But it didn't
Agreed, people would start rioting to get into Bonnaroo and that would be no good.
Once again Phish has their own festivals. And not some small thing like Moe. down huge like Bonnaroo. Why on earth would they play Bonnaroo upon their return? That would be a step backwards.
Thats kind of a 'sell out" attitude. THats like saying that moe is takign a step backwards by doing a small venue tour right after they do a arena tour. ITs not the venue and the amount of people there that matters.

I agree with you there. Phish wouldn't make their decision on where they played based on how many people were there, they'd do it however they thought was best for the fans. I don't think that they would play Bonnaroo because it would cause a lot of problems for just about everyone involved.

Phish at bonnaroo would be "Phish at Bonnaroo" along with 100 other acts. It is not a Phish festival, it would not be advertised as a Phish festival. It would be one stop among many in a summer tour.
The Dead could have their own three day festival and would sell clear over 100,000 tickets if it happened. Yet they still were able to play Bonnaroo in 04 and the world did not end. And they kept touring in the days after Bonnaroo. And people kept seeing them all over the country.
For the record I do not see it happening this year at all but I think the "Phish could never play Bonnaroo" is just too harsh.

I think that in general, people are discussing whether or not Phish would ever reunite at Bonnaroo. If Bonnaroo was just one of the many stops on a planned tour, then no, Bonnaroo would probably not become too crazy, but if Phish were to have a reunion at Bonnaroo, yes, people would go wild! Phish's first show after their hiatus sold out in under ten minutes! It was at Madison Square Garden, under ten minutes! At that rate, Bonnaroo would be sold out in less than 45 minutes!

If that is what they are saying, then yes, they could not reunite. But there seem to be many who say that Phish could not even play there as part of a tour. Or actually they ask, "why would Phish play there when they could have their own."

Yeah, if we're talking about a scenario in which Bonnaroo was just one of the stops along a full summer tour, then things would not get too crazy. If it was a tour I'm sure most Phish fans would rather save the $200 or so they would be spending on Bonnaroo, and instead spend that $200 on tickets for 4 Phish-only shows. At least that's what I would do.
