No, they've never done Bonnaroo before, but that would be a great show. I'd definitely go to where they were playing (hopefully a tent), find a nice patch of grass, lay back, close my eyes and drift off into a state of gravity defying exuberance!

they played cochella last year, but i hear tell damien marley ruined their set, not his fault though. i guess cochella just ahs terrible spacing between stages
The Coachella set was amazing. Yes, you could hear Jr. Gong during the quiet bits but it certainly wasn't 'ruined' (for me at least). Sigur Ros can blast it out as loud as the best of them and they reproduced their sound faithfully live, with the support of a five or six piece string/wind ensemble.
I'd love to see them again, especially late night at Roo, but the Coachella set was part of a tour, I can't see them coming over just for one festival (though I hope I'm wrong).
Would be totally sweet! BTW, last year at Roo, when I was listening to Rusted Root, there would be moments when you could clearly hear Damian playing at Which Stage. Very very loud.

i'd be up for sigur ros whenever, late ngiht (wuld be outstanding) mornign (would be a great start to the day) mid afternoon (a little mid afternoon pick me up). would love for them to be there, but don't think they will be, woudl love to be surprised thoguh,
They're playing a couple fundraiser shows in the States in late February. I suspect this bittersweet news means that they will still be in the studio in June:
sigur rós have begun recording their new album and expect to finish it later this year. in an interview with fréttablaðið newspaper, georg says it remains to be seen whether the band will be taking a totally new direction on the album. “we have finished recording a few songs but some more things need to be done. we don’t know exactly where the album is heading yet. we are really just experimenting at this stage. some of the songs we recorded are old songs which we had written a while ago, unreleased material which we never got a chance to finish. we decided it was time they were recorded.” georg says there is a possibility the album will be released this year but nothing is confirmed at this point.
