I'm seeing them in May at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, IA. I can't friggin wait! This way, I'll get to see them up close first so I don't have to worry about fighting through the crazy crowd at Bonnaroo! After looking through these past setlists though, they don't seem to play many songs, but I guess that's cause they jam them out really long. I will be thrilled for any tool song, but I'm hoping for Eulogy, I love that song.

K, seriously whenever the "What song do you want to hear?" question is asked to Tool fans the answer is ALWAYS Third Eye! And still they never play it! What's up with that?!! Why must Tool be such fan loathing pricks that they don't play what everyone wants to hear?! I'm hoping hoping hoping that June 15th will be the day!
As for what I've heard that I LOVED: Flood (seriously best live Tool song EVER!) H (because I was NOT expecting to hear it)
What I'd really love to hear but know I won't: Third Eye (duh) 4 degrees Undertow Jimmy
Another question I have for Tool fans, what are your top 5 bands at Roo ?

My top 5 after Tool are The Roots, Flaming Lips, Superjam, Galactic, & Ween.
My wishlist of songs that I would love to hear from Tool are: Eulogy, H., Third Eye, Jimmy, The Grudge, Parabol/a, No Quarter (gotta love JPJ being there for this one guys). If they play 2-3 of those songs along with there regular setlist I will be a very very happy man.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
I'd like to hear anything. They used to play it and have Zach from RATM show up and sing something similar to Rollins' part. It would rock if he showed up to play with the nightwatchman and then came out with tool.

It would be great to hear ticks and leeches but the odds of them playing that are about the same as them coming out in bunny costumes. But then again you never know.

We are gonna e-mail Toolband.com (right after I post this) and tell them were getting married before there set, and request them to play eulogy for our best man who passed away last November. I hope it happens, but I know its a long shot. (fingers crossed!!)

I still have a gut feeling that they are going to play it. Not because anybody asked for it, just because its something they would do.
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."

Thats kind of a rough song if you actually like the guy.

^^^^ I know the song, and so did he. He was a huge tool fan, and I know he would also love the fact the Tool played a song for him.
Its not gonna happen because Tool plays very planned out shows, but in memory of my friend I wanted to give it a shot.
Edit: I don't want them to play it cause I think my friend that passed away is a d*ick, but because it (to me) is one of their most powerful songs. I wouldn't want Maynard to preface it with, "this is for x, because this song fits his personality". That would be totally untrue and would be upsetting. I would just like to see it in the play list. Just had to clarify that.
I read somewhere that TOOLs shows can be as dynamic as they want, some lighting guy was saying that nothing with the visuals and all is set in stone, they will change if TOOL plays something different. Maybe we will get lucky, and this show will be completely different, they can give 10k days (as good as it is) a rest for a night and go crazy.

Tool is one of my favorite bands ever and I have never seen them. Out of my top ten artists still performing they are the only one's I haven't seen. Just thinking about Maynard and the Octupus jamming gives me goosebumps.

I still think that Vicarious, Rosetta Stoned, and Jambi should be played no matter what. Those 3 tracks from 10,000 days would fit roo perfectly. As much as I love Wings for Marie/10000 days, I would much rather here 2 other tracks in place of them at roo. No matter what though, I can not wait for next Friday. It will be one hell of a day for me, and probably one the best days of roo in my opinion of bands I really want to see. I also think the best opener for the set with the new moon and all would be The Grudge, followed with Rosetta Stoned. Hippies would be melting with that back to back.

I felt the same way about wings until i actually heard it live. The album cant even come close to doing it justice. I dont know if its the subject matter or what, but it seems like the whole band gives it 125%, and it is very powerful.

Oh trust me I would love to hear this song live, but from what Danny's interview stated and from the possibilites of a more psychadelic set, I would be glad to leave that off if we get to have a once in a lifetime Tool show. Then again if they play wings/10000 days I will still be a happy man, but if it was a choice of that or Third Eye for roo I would like them to play Third Eye because it is a rarer track in their books.

Hmmm, for a more "psychedelic" yet still slightly possible setlist, I can see something along the lines of:
Jambi Stinkfist Forty-Six & 2 Schism Parabol/Parabola Rosetta Stoned Wings For Marie/10,000 Days Vicarious Lateralus Third Eye
That would be a pretty long set though, I think.
the set in greenville was a little less than 2 hr. jambi stinkfist 46 & 2 schism lost keys/ rosetta stoned flood wings for marie/ 10,000 days lateralus vicarious
so if they play the full 2 1/2 hr. they could be adding a few songs. depends on what songs they add. they could add pushit and third eye and that would be it. or they could add sober, opiate, aenema and the pot. or they could add dispositon/reflection/triad.
