Hell yes we want it in the jam if it makes a nosie and you can play it i feel as if no one can exclude you froma jam. The more the merrier plus I like trumpet.
I've enjoyed some campside jam sessions at Bonnaroo. They have been small affairs, usually 2 or 3 guitars.
With a lot of musicians playing we would need a system for picking songs and singers. I suggest everyone sit in a circle. As each song is finished, the person that chose that song point to someone else, who then plays his or her choice. and so forth.
I'd also suggest that the Imforoo Tent Only sight is the natural selection for location. I can't volunteer that sight as I won't be camping there. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I also think it should be ongoing. I mean that the jam should just keep on going everyday, or at least every morning. If you feel like jamming, grab your axe and head over to Jamaroo.

i was at the early bird gathering last weekend and was at one of the best campfire jam sessions i have ever been to. a bunch of drums and 2 guitars. sublime went over huge. date rape, what i got, and badfish were great. steve miller bands fly like an eagle went well too. o.a.r.'s crazy game of poker was awesome too. these guys friggin rocked. i wish i had skills. but for those of you with skills theres some ideas.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

anybody know any sublime or tragically hip to jam out to!?
Cheers
When I jam out with my friends in my studio, we always happen to play a bit (or a LOT) of Sublime, Marley, Beastie Boys, Rancid, Operation Ivy, as well as some other tracks. They always want me to do acoustic renditions of my songs, which gives it a bit of a different flavor. (Most of my songs have distortion guitar, with punk, ska and reggae mixed in.) The only thing is... When I get drunk, I can't coordinate the playing and singing thing very well at all. So, whatever I do will be determined by my BAL. (HA..sad but true) I at least could lend my voice to the cause. (I do my own 5 part harmonies in my songs.)
I'm just as excited about this as I am about Roo, itself. We'll be in Camp Inforoo tent only. Sounds like a PERFECT place for Jamaroo. I'll have my Little Martin as it's easiest to travel with.
