curious if anybody would be interested in a collaboration of sorts...maybe a thursday late night 'meet the inforooster superjam' starring US? i'm not the greatest guitarist in the world but i dabble a little with my acoustic and djemba...would be cool to see if we could put some great music together and enjoy the opening night (bar any late night acts that might interest us)?????

nice. i have never attempted to play one. but i worked with a dude that had a couple. him and his band all worked there. it was a pizza place that was open till 4 am. there were some slow hours at night and we would smoke, drink, and skateboard out back while they played tunes. it was a pretty great job.

I'm thinking about bringing my guitar and violin, but don't know if I want to deal with having them there all weekend in the weather, and I'm doing tent only, so I don't really wanna leave a thousand dollars in instruments in my tent all day. great idea though.

I can make the trek with some bongos. I'm bringing my acoustic guitar for my groups personal enjoyment at our campsite, and it sounds like we have enough guitarists already, but I can get down on some bongo action.
freakin' awesome!! i guess we'll have to figure up where and when to meet eh? i've always thought the roo-goers could put on a jam...should make a list of requests that would make great centerpieces? or shoot from the hip?
i've been to guitar center two times in the last week and there are 3 things i've been lookin' at. and one is a takamine cedar top bass...sounds lovely....only 3 bills with my buddies discount!
no instruments out in the humidity for me. i think ill bring some pedals for the vw garage. im down to jam at the campsite, or anywhere. just whenever you feel the need to pass your guitar on, ill be there.

I'm definitely in, bring my #2 acoustic every year, not worth it to bring my good one. Would be cool to have 20 or 30 guitars and a ton of percussion all playing along the same songs, we should come up with 10 or so songs for everyone to learn before going down.
as far as basic jams, a great one to start from is always COuntry Blues by Jimi Hendrix. and in response to poopzilla's last message, i jsut bought this cheap little old school casio beat making synthesizer and its the msot addicting toy. you bring your synth, Ill bring mine?..
