Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
No matter who plays on Sunday, people will start leaving early just to get home for work the next day or whatever the case may be. WSP might have the smallest crowd of all the headliners that weekend, but they will still draw 45,000 - 50,000 at the least , which is still a pretty damn good turn out.
there is absolutely no doubt in my mind they will be headlining. and though i will be seeing their set in its entirety at bonnaroo (due to a lack of scheduling conflicts), i wasn't blown away by them at langerado this year...stayed for 30 minutes and moved on to girl talk/new pornographers.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
WSP is headlining. I think them headlining two nights in the past was overkill. I'm pumped to see them one night and the new Jimmy Herring lineup, as I have not caught them yet.

Why not a headliner for Thursday this year if they are trying to get more bands to play. I think it would be great to see a major addition for the Thursday night (NIN, The Mars Volta???). That would start off the week with a huge, huge bang I think!

So why can't WSP just say, "look folks, we are playing Sunday night."
It's fun to keep people in suspense. A lot of roo artists haven't announced their exact date and time, I think AC/Superfly frowns upon that a little bit.
wsp is the only headliner im super excited about. they are a new band with jimmy. and they draw more people on accident to bonnaroo then tool does on purpose. not being a dick but come on. and some people leaving early is just the way the rest of us like it. thins out the crowd for the show and makes leaving easier. but there is no possible way that wsp will not headline. they headlined 2 nights the last time they were at roo. they arent moving out of the headline slot. and it seems at least superfly is keeping with traditon for who closes roo out. we can still hang to that last thread of its former glory!!!

I just don't think they will, I'd be fine with being wrong about it...

WSP used to play an annual weekend set in New Orleans at the Lakefront arena. They would play Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night as well, as they always came every fall to do this. Now, they haven't been back to do this since Katrina(that damn storm!), but they would sell out all three of those shows, and have people camped out in RV's the entire weekend for them. The lines to get in the show would start building up at roughly 8 a.m., when the doors to the shows open at 5 p.m. to my knowledge. They most certainly have the fanbase, I mean hell they've been around since '85. Without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, they will close out Roo on Sunday night and they will bring down the house!

this bonnaroo will be my 11th time to see a widespread panic show... i'm extremely excited about them closing out sunday night, it will be the perfect closer to my roo

all a matter of opinion on how good they are but they have headlined in the past and I just dont see someone having that headline status being taken away especially when you are third on the bill
Trey went from "headliner" in '04 to "special late night set" status in '05. That's always a possibility.

This will be my first WSP show so I am excited to hear them throw down, even though I am not a huge fan of them. Just the legends I have heard from people about these guys has me buzzing with anticipation.

A lot of these posts crack me up. Of course WSP will headline. I can not believe that anyone even questions this. The last time they closed the festival they played a marathon 3 1/2 hour set and had multiple guests come on stage(Herbie and Bobbie to name two) Last year the crowd thinned for Phil but who cares there is still 50,000 there rocking the house. If you leave early you will miss one of the best sets of the weekend, period!

The rain didn't help either.
I actually finally hit rock bottom during Phils set last year. I only got about 8 hours of sleep the entire weekend and was falling asleep on the grass without a blanket. It was at that point when I made the only logical decision of my weekend (roo aint for logic) and made my way back to the campsite. Didnt really disappoint me as I've seen Phil play a bunch of times. All I could do was smile and laugh when I heard the downpours start.

I thought thursday night was a vip-only thing?
No. Its just a shortened day of music. No late-nights, no headliners.

Well, we don't know for sure what Thursday is going to be this year. This is the first year that they are advertising the festival as four days of music so they might still be doing more this year. Every year they expand Thursday a little bit more so this is not completely out of the question.

Not questioning really but more of affirming and get exicted for WSP on Sunday night. I was one of the few who left sunday night to make standing easier since we just felt it was time to head out. Real excited to stay this year and close out Roo with WSP.

In your opinion. But they bore me to tears. And I have seen them enough to know. But It will make my exit early much easier to deal with knowing it's just WSP (who I have gone over my quota with)
I honestly think more people that come to Roo would wait around for Panic instead of Tool, just my opinion though. I for one, will be there.
I don't buy that. I've been to multiple Roo's, have seen Phish, GD, and WSP many, many times. I am there for Tool this year. Really it's Tool and the Police that got me there this year. I can see WSP anyday.
Just out of curiosity, how does the fact that you've seen Phish and the Grateful Dead make your opinion any more valid than mine?
I agree with everything dudewheresmyroo said, and on a side note, can't wait to see Panic on 4/20 and 4/21!
