i have had a feeling that there was gonna be no more additions, and to be honest, Im happy with the lineup already. I think at this point they have enough to space all the favored bands so no one misses anything....thats my 2 cents though
does look like its coming to a close. there are already so many that i want to see already so it doesnt really matter to me. hopefully less conflicts this year.
man, I am disappointed about this add, considering we knew about it, and it's the only one. I know a lot of people probably didn't know, but I find it weak. I also think the additions are done, sadly. (sheds a tear as Superfly disappoints with no Mars Volta)
Could it be possible that Bonnaroo won't officially release Gift of Gab, and the others as acts? They already have DJ Shadow listed, they already have Galactic listed, and something leads me to believe they won't officially add them for the Saturday set, because it says "special set" on the website, sounds like it could be with someone else.

Gift of Gab, Ladybug and others made appearances with Galactic at Vegoose last year and it was amazing. It was officially announced as Galactic with Special Guests a couple weeks before Vegoose.
As for Pete Yorn, he is fantastic. It's a great add. As for more additions, we will just have to see once they update the poster if they remove the "Stay tuned for more additions" or not on the poster.
What is this about a special guest with DJ Shadow?? Please someone enlighten me. I would hope it would be Thom Yorke but I know that's way toooooooooo much to hope for.
Any rumors of other special guests or adds?
Also, if Gift of Gab is there, maybe Blackalicious will play...who knows?

Aesop & El-P are already scheduled for shows of their own. The Quannum site lists Gab as appearing with Shadow/Galactic but it also mentions, seperately, a 'special show' with Lateef and DJ Headnodic.
Headnodic, by the way, is a dj/producer and the bass player for a hiphop group called Crown City Rockers.
Gab/Lateef/Headnodic will probably be one of those 'once in a liftetime' type shows.
All those MCs will probably be showing up all over the place...w/ the Roots, Galactic, each others' shows, etc. There will probably be some unannounced geusts as well considering how much of the Quannum and Def Jux labels are already involved.
I am pleased about Pete Yorn being added, but I can't believe they actually announced an artist addition of ONE act... I can't recall every seeing that before! hmmm strange
man, I am disappointed about this add, considering we knew about it...
The fact that we knew about it is really not relevant. Should Bonnaroo cancel Pete Yorn because the information leaked? Should they book some other act to make up for the loss of surprise?
I don't know much about him either (He did a nice cover of Buzzcocks Ever Fallen in Love? on some soundtrack that my kids have - Shrek 2 maybe?) but Roo can't change their booking plans based on the leakiness of information.
I myself have no idea who this guy is, but I just saw that he got added to the lineup. Worth seeing?
Really?? Who is Pete Yorn?? For reals reals? Great add, i would have never thought about it. Im not age prejudice, but, i see you were born in 89, probably explains it. you were about 10-12 when he first came out. My brother was born in 90, and he would know who was either, but he likes hard fast skater biker rock
I just could not see Gift of Gab playing with the Roots. They might work together for a jam session or something but from all the Roots shows I have seen (20+) they are pretty straight forward and may have a rare guest they have collaborated with on an album.

I don't know too much about the underground rap scene, but is there a precedence to Quannum/Def Jux collabs? Right now I'm just wondering if we should really expect to see the likes of Shadow with the likes of El-P.

I can't think of any Quannum/Jux collabs...but I would guess the chances of various Quannum crew showing up with Gab or Shadow & various Jux crew hopping on stage with Aesop or El-P are pretty good.
It's been announced that Grizzly Bear is opening for Feist through June. Bonnaroo looks to be the only date that they haven't announced. I'm hoping they get added.

Yeah, we could use some more Pete Yorn love. The guy has written some great songs. This will be my first time to see him live, and I'm looking forward to it.
