My guess is Uncle Earl will have the smallest turnout (assuming we're not counting cafe acts). I haven't heard anyone talk about them on this board or anywhere else, and I've had a tough time finding some of their music to listen to before Roo.

Fountains Of Wayne or Dierks Bentley.
I'm voting for Bentley because he's behind. Since one of my newbie friends is a big fan, I'll probably be one of the 38 or 39 people who are actually at his show. Lucky me.

Who the hell's Ryan Shaw? I'll bet none of you know either! His crowd probably won't be all that dynamic.
he's thur. night though, i didn't count those. i voted martha wainwright. i think i may have even heard her name, but i don't imagine she will have many fans there.

i went with other, because i think its less dependant on the band, and more dependant on what days/timeslots everyone gets...
for example, i don't care who the first band of the day is sunday, after saturday night's blowout party it's gonna be an empty show for those poor guys
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I voted for Paolo nutini because I never see him/them talked about here, and are the only one on the list that I havent heard. I doubt Fountains of Wayne will get a low turnout because everyone knows who they are.

I wonder how many people that announce their hatred for Fountains of Wayne have ever even tried looking past the commercialized and well-overplayed mistake of Stacy's Mom. The rest of that album along with the rest of their albums are phenominal.

I voted for paolo nutini, because I have never heard of him. Name recognition alone will draw a lot of people who were dragged there by someone else more into live music.

ouch. i just saw deriks last year here in roanoke. it wasnt bad, persay, it wasnt good either,(the energy went to the biscut burners) but i do think people will go see him. fountains are way over rated. forget stacy's mom. they are just plain wretched. i prefer my pop 'ala big star and the raspberries. not fountains... oh and the hold steady is every guy who is over the age of 30 wet dream.trust me.

Dierks Bentley is there to try to grab a few of the local country fans, even though it would be ridiculous to pay over 200 to just mainly see him though. I bet someone out there going to Roo has all of these bands as there shows they cant miss or there life is ruined (dont know who put there is always the possibility).
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

Really? I think she's got a diverse fan base, and will be a pretty hot ticket. I'd bet she'd make for a good laid back show.
And I hate to rag on anybody or their favorite band.. but the Hold Steady really grinds my gears. I'd expect them to leave a lot of passerby's unimpressed.
