how about drive-by truckers? they are doing rock shows and accoustic shows this summer...their first date listed on the website is the weekend after roo. i dont want anymore conflicts but this would kick a$$!
Bring on the Monsters of Folk!! That would be one of the greatest things I could imagine...my mind would most likely just melt halfway through that set.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

bright eyes is playing austria (?) on that saturday and m. ward is on tour in texas those nights. i dont see a monsters of rock thing... i can see a jim solo set and the fact that he is playing a mere two weeks before bonnaroo, solo, could be nothing...could be a warm up. bustle is still a very real possiblity. the duo is playing baltimore the weekend before bonnaroo and other than that i dont really have any other evidence but im really gonna put my money on that. oh and jimmy..can trey even leave the state? not being an ass, i just feel like if he cant headline 10kl then he isnt gonna surprise us this year.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
I predict Superfly is gonna give us all the people we knew were gonna be at Roo this year, but werent on the lineup:
Robert Randolph Trey Les Jim James
Trey won't be there. If he's going to cancel 10k Lakes for his probation, there's no way he'll make a suprise appearance at Bonnaroo. That would piss off way too many lakes ticket holders.
What about this new Umphrey's side project OMEGA MOOS? It features Brendan (gtr) and Ryan (bass) from UM and the keys and drums from the New Deal.
UM finishes their tour in LA on Thursday the 14th...so the Friday latenight could be a warmup for their mini tour the following weekend...

Hate to burst your bubble but Trey is in court ordered re-hab for a year.....for the first three months he has to be within 1 hour of the facility at all times to submit to random testing (hence the 10,000 lakes cancellation) at least that's what I read....who knows if that's 100% accurate.....and Les has a gig in Florida the day of "TBD" and the next day as well....he could fly in...but that seems far fetched....on the other hand Les and Robert have never missed a Bonnaroo yet....I think they're the only ones....here's hoping the streak continues.

I know I'm not the first to suggest this, but if they were to assemble a SuperJam that wasn't actually jamband-oriented, that would be very, very exciting. I could see an assembly of hip-hop, jazz, indie, experimental, and electronic artists up there doing something very strange and very wonderful. It would add new emphasis to the idea of a unique performance.
I think Sasha+Digweed should be invovled...
holy shit, that would be awesome, especially with sasha/digweed. although my brain is probably gonna be completely liquidated after their show haha
wait, wtf am i saying. i had no idea the tbd was at the same time as SCI, i mean as if choosing between SCI and STS9 weren't hard enough. naw, i dont care, i'll be at SCI candy-flipping so i prolly won't make it to the TBD....unless Disco Biscuits show up
