In an interview on BBC radio today, Ed O'Brien says the band will tour in the US starting in May and continuing there in June and July. Too soon for Bonnaroo? Coachella was 2004, that's not too soon.
From
As the plans look like now, Radiohead will start their upcoming tour in America. When asked by Steve Lamacq Ed O’Brien confirmed that the band are indeed starting their tour in May.
Ed said that it’s still ‘up in the air’ and that plans might change, but Radiohead will tour in May, June/July, kicking off for a few weeks in America. Ed: “We probably go out in May.”
When asked if Glastonbury is on the agenda, Ed said: “Everything is on the agenda. We sort of finalizing dates at the moment. We’ll see. If they want us. We don’t know yet. We’ve got schedule A, schedule B, schedule C. None of this is confirmed.”
I don't mean to offend those with mental handicaps, but if Superfly can bring back Widespread Panic two times in three years, they'd be retarded not to bring back Radiohead two times in three years...

And more. From BBC's Zane Lowe Show (thanks again to ateaseweb):
For the upcoming tour Ed said that Thom “needed more persuading”. However, he sounded positive when discussing playing festivals. Thom: “That collective experience. Thousands of people in a field wanting the same thing, going to the same place, with the same mindset. I think that’s really important.”
May just be a coincidence, but I noticed that Radiohead is in the top position in the "Bonnaroo Spotlight" section of the Bonnaroo website. I have to say that the above quote from Thom encourages me to believe that we may see Radiohead return to the farm next summer. I would like to hear someone's explanation as to exactly why it is "too soon" for Radiohead to return to Roo. This argument has always baffled me.

Thom has said on many occasions that their show at Roo was one of their favorite of all time...and how much he loved the experience. I would not be surprised at all, especially considering these recent comments on touring, that they return to the farm in 08. Its not too early!

i LOOOOOOOVE their new album - it would be really amazing to see them live again. that experience at the roo in 06 was one of the most intense i'd ever had in my life.

Thom on BBC 6Music's Tom Robinson show a few weeks after Bonnaroo 2006: "We did this festival called Bonnaroo. We did 2.5 hours. And there's 80,000 people, admittedly they've been smoking the sticky green all day, probably wouldn't go anywhere anyway. It was just amazing. We played loads of new stuff. We did whole sections of quiet piano songs and it sounds like the most grotesque self-indulgent nonsense but it probably is my favorite gig for years and years and years. It was a reallly melllow evening."

i can't wait until they release the DVD of their 06 performance, wasn't that in the works? ...but they didn't want to release it prior to their new album..... or something.... did i dream that up?
and thanks poop, that song is indeed amazing. i was hoping soooo bad they'd play it at roo, but i probably would've died right there on the spot

You weren't dreaming crazykittensmile. I cut the Tom Robinson show quote short. Thom continued: "Actually it's all being filmed, but we're sitting on it because there's loads of new stuff on it. Because we're mean like that. It will come out eventually."
These dates are over the weekend after what would typically be the Bonnaroo weekend, and they're in Germany. Though, I'm not 100%, this might put Yorke and co. off the speculation list. (Plus, Bonnaroo could end up being that same weekend, as they haven't even announced the official dates yet.)

^^ I think we're prolly looking at June 12, 13, 14, & 15th this year, as that is Fathers Day weekend, and i do believe that is where its been at for the past few years. Plus the weekend of the 20-22nd seems too late. So I do believe until Radiohead is booked elsewhere for that second weekend in June, they are a possiblity. ;D ;D ;D
i missed last years roo and radiohead with it. when i made it down this year i just wished radiohead was there again even though i knew they werent. if they came this year it would be perfect
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things
So, it looks like right now Radiohead will be here either in the spring of fall. I can see them possibly playing Palloza,Austin, or maybe that new fest that is popping up in Jersey.
