We've all heard the news that this fantastic radio station in Atlanta was announcing the lineup for 2008 Bonnaroo. Well it hasn't happened and we're getting tossed in circles.
For example:
I also sent an email to the Producer of 99x, his response:
" Check with Matt Jones, I think he may have the lineup.. Sorry for the delay..
Mark"
So then I emailed this Matt character and got this response:
"We're working with the Langerado Fest right now. I haven't heard any lowdown on Bonnaroo yet."
Someone is messing with us methinks.
here is the Producers email.......mark@99x.com.
make sure he gets plenty of emails asking the same questions about this... i think they are all full of poo...

I have sent a message to him as such:
Good Afternoon,
I am a fan of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and I have heard, from your show, that the 2008 Lineup would be announced on your show. Yet I have heard that you have so far delayed the announcement two days. First of all I ask, if you are allowed to answer of course, why you have delayed the lineup and secondly when you WILL be announcing the lineup. If this is a marketing ploy, which I hope it is not, then it is a horrible idea and will result you turning off many people from your radio station but if it is the truth then I consider that an ingenious way to get your name out in the national scene and I recommend not delaying it too long.

"We are finalizing our giveaways with Bonnaroo and wanted to wait to we had that nailed down before annoucing anything. We'll have it by Wednesday and it will also be on 99x.com"

^^ Above is the response I received from 99.x on the 14th.
I'm game for the constant bugging of Mark. I started out with the nice approach... we'll see what happens.
"i heard that you guys have the lineup? you said you were announcing it yesterday, then you moved it to today... now all i'm hearing is that you guys never had it?
so do you guys have it, or was all this just smoke being blown to us... -andy"
haha, at least i didn't say, smoke being blown up our A$$
I had heard that you guys were making a line-up announcement for Bonnaroo 08. So far you guys haven't said anything.
Is this some sort of stunt to gain listeners or do you really have an announcement? If you have it give it to us already, if you don't, that's pretty shady and I won't be listening to you guys any more, on the internet or otherwise. That's just wrong to fake out the public like that.
Give us the goods. some of us actually believe it when you media hucksters say stuff like this. or am I wrong and you really are a bunch of lying scumbags.

"I had heard that you guys were making a line-up announcement for Bonnaroo 08.
I was listening two days ago and they said listen tomorrow. I listened that day and they said again, TOMORROW. So far you guys haven't said anything. Is this some sort of stupid publicity stunt to gain listeners or do you really have a lineup? If you have it give it to us already, if you don't, that's really not a very smart business decision.
Not only will you guys lose both internet and local listeners, but you could get in serious trouble with Superfly and AC Entertainment, the companies in charge of Bonnaroo. I hope you guys do that right thing and either follow through or retract your statements. "

Here's what I just sent:
Dear Sir:
For several days now, listeners to your station have been repeatedly told that your morning program was in possession of and was prepared to announce the lineup for this years Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. In the days that followed, your listeners have found themselves dissappointed and feeling successively more manipulated. I can only hope, as many listeners have been told, that your program is truly delayed in the announcement of this line-up, and that this is not your station's idea of a clever ploy in order to attract new listeners. Certainly, without any further information, I am not in a position to make any bald accusations. However, given recent evidence that has come to the attention of a number of your listeners that are also Bonnaroo fans (evidence which includes correspondence with members of your staff), there is a palpable concern that the Bonnaroo community has been played for fools. If this should be the case, I would be prepared for significant backlash. If, in fact, you are in possession of the line-up and external factors have caused the announcement to be delayed, please accept my most sincere apology.
