Well, assuming Pearl Jam, Met and JJ are the three, without a doubt the weakest headliners Roo has ever had...but the rest of the lineup is pretty good, def better than Coachella. The embarrassing thing is, though, that I'm not convinced it's a better lineup than Langerado's.

I want to see about 4/5 of the band on the lineup this year. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. And VIP tickets are still reasonably priced!!!! I'm going insane with joy!
I think this is the strongest lineup Bonnaroo has ever presented outside of the headliners. I don't think Johnson is headline material at all, but I'm ok with Metallica, although I'd prefer a jamband in their place. This will be my 6th trip to the farm and I really think this might be the best lineup I will have seen there though, I'm really thrilled with it.

Kanye West might put on a fine show and all, but I don't think he fits on the farm.
I can see where you're coming from, but I disagree. Bonnaroo is all about bringing in the most important, relevant current artists (which is why I am just dazed and confused by Metallica). And like him or not, Kanye is, in terms of sales and critical acclaim, arguably the top hip hop act out there. Sure, it might end up being a misstep for the Roo...but I think that bringing Kanye brings just as much sense as bringing Radiohead, or Tool, or any other important, relevant artist outside of the main jamband scene.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

y'all are whining about absolutely nothing. this lineup is great outside the headliners. and i don't give a crap what capps is saying, superfly has something up their sleeve.
jack johnson can NOT be a headliner. maybe it will only be JPJ or Page at a superjam, but crap! please don't tell me you people could complain about that!
i'm still holding out hope. this lineup smells fishy!
There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing. But I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepiatone loving Love is the answer
A little feeling in my gut that I get of late when I think about these cats running the world with hate
I'm so confused about Zepp. I really don't know what to think. I can't understand why some news agencies would put up reports that seem to contradict the official information.
I never liked Kanye, until I listened to his song Homecoming.
I dunno, last year before Bonnaroo I downloaded a bunch of music from bands I didn't know, and I ended up seeing alot of great shows from bands that I heard bad things about. I think he's worth a shot, even though he's a complete a-hole.

I honestly am going to have more conflicts this year than ever before. It's sickening. And I'm going to also say that, even without Zeppelin, I'm more into this year's headliners than last years. Don't care for Metallica but Pearl Jam and Jack Johnson will be fine with me. And, frankly, I haven't given Metallica the shot they deserve.
Edited to add: I still believe that we're getting Zeppelin, and I also think MMJ plays Friday late night Which Stage, so even if I can't get into Metallica, I will just be lined up along the side of the Which Stage waiting for MMJ to tear the place down.
I agree with some of you that this year's lineup seems like something is missing, even though they are a lot of bands on there I'm super excited to see. So...maybe I just need to bit of time to soak it all in.
I can't speak for other Bonnaroo peeps, but I saw Metallica a few years back (I'm a fan of their old stuff) and they put on an AMAZING show. Even a friend who wasn't that into them before the show loved it and became a fan. I think they make some really great music and they really go all out live. They'll be 100% more entertaining than last year's Police.
As for Kanye...does anyone remember filling out that Bonnaroo survey after last year's roo where they asked what kind of genres we would like to see more of? I think maybe he filled the niche that last year's attendees said they wanted. I put more reggae.
