I don't know. Harvey's usually a pretty solid reviewer. He covers a lot of Austin bands for Pitchfork and is usually more positive than most. I just think Ghostland must rub him the wrong way. I can understand why. Their hype didn't exactly build organically. C3 has a lot to do with their success...
Yeah...I tend to just get pissed off when I read pitchfork reviews and most of the BS that is contained in them. They're such high and mighty hipster snobs. I love the website, don't get me wrong, but seriously their reviews get to me. Sorry...had to rant a bit.

I will agree that Pitchfork is more than "pretentious". The reviews rarely speak to me, and this record's review is no different.
Grr that review made me angry when I read it. I'm REALLY diggin the new album! And their live show is something not to be missed, but I've said it all already, so I'll stop now.
