Is it just me or are there WAAAYY too many "should-be" late night acts this year?
Especially now that Phil Lesh and MMJ have been confirmed for late night slots. I don't think there are enough slots for Sigur Ros, UM, Bisco, Kayne, Robert Randolph, SuperJam, Levon Helm, MSTRKRFT, Chromeo, !!!, and any other bands that may be added later.
I, for one, am forseeing an incredible amount of conflicts.

That's why barring Zeppelin or Les, I could care less if there were anymore additions. The conflicts are already looking bad........more additions just makes it worse.
There's a bunch of ugly conflicts there, but there's bad conflicts no matter how you slice it.
Unless Thursday does become a serious day. In which case Kanye could play the Which stage, and maybe Umph or Ghostland bumps to Thursday.
i actually kind of think Robert Randolph is gonna play a sunday morning show... like they did in 2002 with dottie peoples or whoever it was... "we gonna have a little church up in here this morning."
MMJ vs. UM/Bisco would be a serious conflict. Other than that, hopefully no one conflicts with Sigur Ros. They are the band I am most excited about. Followed by MMJ, UM/Bisco.

Seems like Ghostland has been getting day slots (or at least not late nights) at most of their festival appearances. Even though they're certainly geared for it. Can anyone shed more light on that? Maybe they're not destined for a late night at Bonnaroo.
I don't see Robert Randolph getting a late night spot, especially since he is not with the family band. The Revival is a bit more of a gospel type sound to it. Feels more right to me to be during the day. Just my two cents
The only thing that truly upset me about late night last year was Mule/Flips....
Looking back, I made the wrong choice
What you should be upset about was that you missed the sick party going down over at Galactic. Now THAT was a late-night show.
I actually did catch a little bit of that on the way back to camp... sat and had a piece of pizza, listened to the mcs do their thing for a little while.

Actually, his MySpace message states that the Family Band will be playing with him, along with a number of special guests. They are playing RRFB material (including new songs!) in addition to some Gospel standards. Also, I've been probing a member of his Management team for info, and all I've heard from him is "Trust me, it's going to be epic."
So, considering RR played late night in 2004, and that the show is supposed to be "epic" (which generally implies long), and in order to accommodate a lot of guests, I think it will be at night.

I was actually thinking that as well the other day. If Robert Randolph's Revival is supposed to include old gospel songs, as I have read, Sunday morning would make a lot of sense.

or late sat. night, which is really sun. morning.
Now if he played till sunrise, and played us into Sunday morning with some gospel, that would be pretty badass.
Also, I'm being greedy, cause if he plays a normal latenight, I won't see him, cause I'll be at some other show.

i feel like ghostland isnt gonna get the latenight everyone wants to see them in. hopefully im wrong but it seems like they dont have nearly the clout to get the latenight over so many other rumored latenight acts.
I really wanna see Ghostland, and especially late night, but with everything else that should be going on, I hope they get a daytime slot... I want to catch them, even if it'll be a little out of place.

It will be TREASON if they schedule MMJ and Sigur Ros on the same late night. TREASON I say because I couldn't think of a completely worse conflict then those two epic shows and they will be Epic so if MMJ is Friday like they were listed on Pollstar, and Sigur Ros is on saturday listed on their website I will be in bliss because I will sacrifice Phil n Friends and any other conflicts to see Sigur Ros but I will be outright violent leading up to the show time if MMJ and Sigur Ros are scheduled during the same time slot

I may be wrong, but isn't roo one of the only festies to have a big late night scene?

there are only a few scenarios I see with Umphreys and Disco. One they repeat the latenight in 06 and have a block schedule in the same tent. Or they make them both pre headliners on different days in a tent. So before Pearl Jam you get Umphreys in a pre-headliner tent on saturday like Ween was last year with an extended set and before metallica on friday you have disco biscuits in a pre headliner tent. Otherwise I doubt that Umphreys will get a latenight and Disco won't or vice versa it just wouldnt make much sense to me in the scheduling realm of bonnaroo when they are both great for what they both do. Which is why they toured together.

well thats the beauty about roo our midnight shows are headliners at other festivals. Last year MMJ was a headliner at langerado, and this year Phil n Friends is a headliner at all good, 10klf, langerado, and headlined many festivals in the past.
