Afromotive and The Greencards are the only bands I've heard of on that list... definitely cafe acts, presumably to be officially announced via email tomorrow. Wednesday seems to be their day
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
K'naan is a decent MC from Toronto and Somolia (Africa). He is incredibly political as he grew up in the middle of a civil war. He puts on a really good live show that doesn't seem to translate to his studio stuff. Definitely worth checking out if you like hip-hop.
For some reason i feel like i knew he was already playing though, are you sure he was only added today?
YAAY! YES! I did see Cornmeal open for TLG last Thur and they WERE awesome! ;D Kinda Jammy Bluegrass - PERFECT for a TN summer afternoon! And....they have the absolute HAPPIEST Drummer On Earth! Think Will Ferrell on Cowbell! They can get a bit trippy too.... Very Very Cool~

Ok I'm sure this is a stupid rookie question but what exactly is the Cafe, set up wise and stuff?
Thanks muchly
The Cafe is a small tent for smaller, upcoming bands. I'm pretty sure it's air conditioned if i remember correctly, which is a plus. I never made it there last year unfortunately, so I can't really tell ya what it's like once you get inside....
De Novo Dahl is a solid local Nashville band. Saw them open for Girl Talk...don't remember exactly when but pretty recently...and they were definitely a good opener. Not desperate to see them again, but would def recommend them.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure I'll hit there a bit since I want to try and experience a bit of everything. Plus I've always wanted to see K'Naan.

He's amazing. He performed with Stephen Marley at last year's Coachella, so I could see that happening again.
FUCK YEAH Jake Shimabukuro!!! Do yourself a favor and listen to this man, his cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is absolute perfection. I saw him in Chattanooga last year and he won me over, the man is magic.
They're kind of a bluegrassy celtic type of band, but their sound is pretty hard to pin down. Wikipedia describes it as folk-rock-Celtic-old time-bluegrass-contemporary-Latin-French Canadian-gospel, which I think might be the greatest genre ever.
They started off as straight ahead Celtic band called Scrooge MacDuhk probably 20 years ago or so. It was actually a group of my dad's friends who just started playing at parties. The lineup has changed pretty drastically as well as the sound. When they decided to become more of just a Celtic jam band that played around Winnipeg, they shortened the name to The Duhks. The only original member left from the Scrooge days is Leonard Podolak. I'm not a huge fan, but they put on an entertaining show and it's nice to see Winnipeg represented at Bonnaroo.
