Oh fuck, I forgot the worst of them all...Molly Hatchet for free in the parking lot of a mall. There were no more than 100 people there either. It was TERRIBLE

RANDOM, I know: I used to work in this medical supply warehouse. The radio was always playing the "classic rock" station over the loud speakers. There was this one guy who, EVERY time "Freebird" was played, would remove his (SKOAL) hat, slowly take his zippo from his breast pocket, strike it, raise it above his head and solemnly say..."Ladies and Gentlemen, Our National Anthem."

Wow. That's kinda scary.
I was once forced to go to a Bon Jovi show. My ex wanted to go and I didn't but she was a really good shot and cried so I went. I didn't like Bon Jovi before and the show didn't help. Thinking back about it. It wasn't so much as a bad show, I just really didn't want to be there. Although I did start the zippo lighter thing. I was joking at the time then other people started doing it.
You're right, I shouldn't... but it was part of Ozzfest a few years back. It was kind of funny because even most of the people at Ozzfest were either booing them or completely uninterested.
For me probably Vans Warped Tour 2003?? I think. I don't remember why I went but I ended up leaving after 25 minutes of being there. I couldn't stand the sound of all the crappy music and 14 year olds walking around.
As for a post I saw above about Kid Rock.....he may not be an incredible muscian or anything but being from Michigan and all I do enjoy him....and he puts on a hellaova show.
And as for Steve Miller...I think that is just one of those shows you gotta to go to anhilated with you buddies so you can sing all the songs ;D
2nd grade my mom and sister dragged me to NKOTB or as you may know them New Kids On The Block I was only 8 yet I still realized how bad it was. My brother and I both wore Bon Jovi t-shirts in protest

I was betting on the horses and right before final post I see people coming out of a roped off public bathroom (there dressing room) all dressed up ready to rock. The funny shit was as soon as the race ended and Molly hatchet wa sready to rock the house everybody just left. Literally everybody left. Molly hatchet classic suck band!!

Hey drugs, Have you seen the DVD "The Best of Triumph The Insult Comic Dog?" Funniest DVD ever made! One of the best parts was Triumph at a Bon Jovi show in New Jersey......you MUST see this!
That said, I have to give BJ credit for a sense of humor......once you see it, you'll understand why! ;D

"You can chose from all kinds of guys who have no idea how to please you." I'd seen that one, but not the bon jovi, both are hilarious. "Are you a korean under there?"

Worst Ever: Got Free Tickets (in my defense) for Journey, Foreigner & REO Speedwagon...figured why not Ill check it out. Worst idea ever, I had to leave about 20 minutes into Journey's set, I just couldnt take it and I refuse to "Not stop believein"...
I'd have to say Natalie Merchant. It was a stuffy high school auditorium with cramped seats in Lakewood, OH (near Cleveland). They didn't serve alcohol, and I was bored as hell.
I think I saw Crazytown at a free show in college as well. I also saw a free show by a guy that I cannot remember the name of...huge star in britain, had an episode on MTV cribs, but I saw him in a little gymnasium, only had a few minor singles in the states. It really wasn't a bad show except that it was marketed to teeny-boppers.
Damn it's going to drive me nuts until I think of his name.
EDIT: it was Robbie effing Williams. God that was annoying to look up. Thank you, Google.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

I saw this local band, i think they were called Default Outfit... terrible... They're lead singer was trying so hard to be emo... But he swung his microphone around by the cord during one his bands "jams" and it flew out of his hand and into the bassists face.
Most of the bad concerts I've been to are 80's band trying to squeeze a few more dollars from their fleeting fame. Nashville had an outdoor venue (it just closed this winter) where you could sometimes see concerts that didn't sell out for $10 grass seats. If it was a nice evening, I'd check it out. Some were actually good but most were horrible.
The worst was probably Kansas. The original band members were mostly gone and the lead singer singer seemed to think he was still 25 and sexy. Ouch! It was like a bad SNL skit.(Ironically I saw Kansas in 79 on Halloween in and it was an amazing show. And their Halloween costumes were hilarious.)
Like I said in the first concerts thread, I've gotta say the one set that Zugg Island played, they started out with 3 BLACK SABBATH COVERS!!! Now, me being a huge Sabbath fan, got so f'n pissed off, that I started booing the band. Nowadays, I'd never do anything like that, I've got too much respect for all musicians, I wouldn't even boo Limp Bizkit. But yeah, needless to say, that was the worst thing I'd ever seen.
I went to see Faith No More, GnR and Metallica in New Orleans at the Dome - Faith No More and GnR sucked reallyr eally really bad. Metallica put on a great show tho - so that made up the price of the tickets

I saw Radiohead at that venue in 1997. One of the best shows ever, period!
linkin park is the worst live band ever. i got free tickets to a show called xfest thats run by the local radio station in indianapolis. less than jake was there, and they played a great show, but they got cut to like 45 minutes so korn and linkin park could suck for 2 hours apiece. such a letdown. snoop dogg was there too, and it kind of entertaining, but the only really cool part was the echo he had set up. "beeyatch...eeyatch...eeyatch...eeyatch"
the eagles...they sounded great, but i may as well have been at home listening to a cd, it was so boring (thank goodness i'm from bc, we had something for entertainment...)
oh, can't forget about the bazillion free nickelback concerts (why do i keep going???)
deepest apologies on behalf of my country for them at least we have the tragically hip to make up for it (c'mon, give us that at least)
I went to see Steve Miller Band a few years back and was really excited....but then once it started the excitement left because it was just really bad. It seemed that Steve really didn't care anymore and he was just playing because he was Steve Miller. It took me awhile afterwards to be able to listen to his music after that which was a shame.
I agree. I saw them, probably the same tour and it was just abysmal.
wow, i'm sorry that you guys had such a bad experience with them. Right before I came back out to school last summer I saw them at this small park kinda area in Darien, Connecticut where the stage is partially on a pond and they rocked out. We started by sitting about 20 feet from the stage and eventually walked up to the front and started a standing movement. The energy was amazing in the crowd and the band was totally feeding off of us. Hopefully you'll get to see them again and enjoy it

dont forget moonshine still!! it was an incredible thursday show last year at roo!! and there was quite a canadian turnout. a couple of flags waving. lots of crazy drunkeness.(is that a word?) all of my friends werent enjoying their trip as i was and they went back to camp. but i had an awesome time getting down with lots of crazy canadians!!
i played in a horriibly sh!tty christian band one time as a favor to my friend who is a youth pastor. we didnt play bad but the music we were palying was definitely horrible. im so sad to have been a part of it
Isnt it funny how all the ba shows all seem liek they were from free tickets? well in that same light.....
It was for the Steelers superbowl celebration at Heinz Feild with Bon Jovi and Nickelback. Was able to get some free tickets and ended up going. Bon Jovi was actually pretty good and rocked the house but Nickelback BLOWS!! Nickelback cant help but tell everyone that nickelback is on stage playing nickelback songs from their album nickelback that was written by nickelback. God, all they did was refer to themsevles in the 3rd person and sing terrible songs. NICKELBACK!!

Late last year, I had tickets to see Bon Jovi with Nickelback opening at the Giant's Stadium. Due to various factors, I missed Nickelback's set. After hearing your glowing review, I guess I can feel a bit better now...
When I was 17 (1975) I saw Uriah Heep and T Rex in concert in Lexington KY. The concert was horrible. I know I was drunk but it was a bad concert. Then a couple of months later, Marc Bolan of T Rex died and I wished that it had been a better show.
