Well since I was able to join this incredible site by a kind invite from a fellow inforooster....I thought I'd return the favor. I've only got one invite right now but I'm soon to be a PowerUser so I'll then have more. Anyways to the point...whoever needs an invite give me a jingle(PM) with your email and I'll get you on there
i have been grabbing a bunch of instructional vids off oink, if you want to dust off your guitar/drum/or whatever skills, oink has some great instructional vids for whatever level your at.
and if you donate 5 bucks they give you two invites. they also enable an advanced search and will never cancel your account due to innactivity (as it stands if you are inactive for more than six weeks your account is removed)
i think you have to be a member for atleast 14 days and upload over 10 gigs. pretty sure i read that in the faq or forum. somwhere.
Yea that makes you a PowerUser and I think they give you one invite a month or something like that?? I think it is limited to 10 though...and yea I thought the 5 bucks was worth the advanced search and 2 invites.
You can search specific file formats, categories,descriptions...just makes it a bit easier to find stuff. And yeah sorry I ment 5 EUROS...but still...it's not much considering I've gotten gigs upon gigs of music files for free.

Actually once you're a Power User you get an additional invite every WEEK. But yes, they top out at 10. I love OiNK and also have invites for you needy bastards.
most of the files are available in flac or mp3. there are a few flac only that you would need to convert. but for the most part no. just make sure you grab the mp3 version.

Yeah, it's gonna be awhile before I become a PowerUser. I haven't uploaded sh!t yet. I have a good ratio, just not enough people taking sh!t from me. I guess I should start looking into Billboards top 40 and download some of that crap just so I can upload it
On another note. Maybe I can get my friends to pay me, so that I can donate to the site and get invites that I can send them in return. YES. BooWAHHHAAAAHHAAHHAAA
ya its taking me forever too. my ratio would have sucked. but i jumped on korn unplugged and fountains of wayne right as they were posted and they both got to ratios of 8 or more. i almost accidently played one. it was too close of a call so i deleted em

I downloaded FoW as well, but because I realize that they make quality pop-rock. I've listened to the album twice and thoroughly enjoy it. And I'm happy to be spreading this great music to others who appreciate it.

So what I would like is a 50 word (minimum) essay on why you deserve an invite. The more clever your reasoning is the more likely you are to win an invite. Promises of sexual favors from girls are welcome, but do not guarantee an invite.

I feel I deserve an oink invite because I love to build upon my music collection with as many rarities as I can find. As a member of the Roo community I'm sure anyone can understand how important music is to day to day life and I love to find that new acoustic version of a song or someone doing a really kick ass cover that when I hit play on it for the first time I get a big smile on my face. I try to find as many ways to get great live performances, also getting a live show is a great way to find new musicians. in closing I would just like to say give a man one great live track he can be happy for a night, give a man an oink invitation he can be happy for life. thank you and god bless you, god bless America!

Now that's an essay deserving of an oink membership. I especially like the allusion to the bible in there, quite clever. Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll get it to you by Monday, maybe sooner if I can remember.

hey i messed up when i told you that. for some reason i though you said illegal. but looking back it says legal. everythign on oink is something your supposed to buy. its all official releases. so its not what you would call legal. my bad. if youve already downloaded stuff and are going to jail im really sorry!!! tell them to pm me ill explain everything
