Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Seeing as we are all going to Bonnaroo, I think it's safe to say that we all LOVE music and can honestly say we have pretty good musical tastes. I have always been a music lover and pride myself on "knowing and listening" to only the good stuff. That being said it never fails that I fall for a pop song here or there. So everyone out with it; give us the songs or bands that you secretly love either right now or over the years. I'll offer 2 to begin with (yes there are more): Fleetwood Mac has always been my happy music (except for most of the Christine McVie songs...yuck) and currently I cannot get enough of "Say it Right" by Nelly Furtado...Timbaland is a genius.

My current guilty pleasure is Mika. I find myself humming and singing his tunes in my best (worst?) falsetto: Grace Kelley, Lollipop, Love Today, Billy Brown, and Big Girl.

Alright, I happen to love Fleetwood Mac without shame.
I also really dig Hootie and the Blowfish, Counting Crows, and Toad the Wet Sprocket.
There's no shame in loving the mac!!! They were actually one of my first concerts as a child.
For me? I actually dig alot of Abba for some reason. I think is has alot to do with the fact that my mother loved them while I was growing up. Actually, there's a bit of disco out there that for whatever reason gets me going. Thats pretty much my motivation for listening to anything these days. If it gets me going, I aint gonna fight it. I'm sure I can think of more (Belle & Sebastian), but its time for a wonderful root canal......
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
Stuckinutero, The Little Ones seem to agree with you about music that gets you going. “We realised that if a song made us move our feet -literally- then it was good. Girl groups, Motown, great pop – the one thing they have in common is that they make you want to dance.”
I am shamelessly touting this band to anyone who will listen. I fell in love with them immediately through an iTunes clip and they have yet to disappoint.
I have to admit that My Chem Romance and Nelly Furtado do not offend me and I actually own albums. I know MCR is a big one to admit too, but there's a little room for some glam emo pop for everyone. And really, somehow they know something about a melody or two. I also agree that Timbaland is a genius, that Nelly album is very good to work out to, that is, when I work out.
I also love me some Jason Mraz. Is that really that bad?
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
As sick as it sounds, I kinda enjoy the musical stylings of ABBA also. I don't own any, but their overproduced sound is kinda psychadelic and very nostalgic for me. Guilty pleasure, for sure.

I also love me some Jason Mraz.
That is definitley not a bad thing. His show at Schuba's on 1/15/2003 was a life changing experience. That guy put on one hell of a show. Here is the setlist and .flac download if you know how to convert:
i have so many of these its ridiculous...i'm sure i'll add more later as i think of them but here's a start:
i can't help singing along to kelly clarkson songs, especially 'since you been gone'.
i'm also a huge fan of the song from pretty woman: go west - 'king of wishful thinking'. me and my friend are trying to come up with a hard rock cover of it
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
i already admitted to being of huge dixie chics fan in the "secrets" thread, but my other ones are: Christina Aguilera Dirty Dancing soundtrack Pat Benatar Cyndi Lauper and..... NKOTB, they take me back.....
"White collar conservative flashin down the street, pointing that plastic finger at me, they all assume my kind will drop and die, but I'm gonna wave my freak flag high." Jimi Hendrix

Seen him twice live, one acoustic show with raul midon that was absolutely amazing. The other was at the house of blues in cleveland, and if it were not for the sorority girls complaining about the opening acts, I had a nice time.

My absolute favorite song was Mickey by Toni Basil.
I would dance around our den with the record (yes...a vinyl record) and sing in my microphone to that song every single day growing up. Even now when I hear it I have clap along and dance if I can. I guess that's my #1 song.
HEY MICKEY YOU'RE SO FINE YOU'RE SO FINE YOU BLOW MY MIND HEY MICKEY
Mraz is great live. I saw him in '03 at Nashville River Stages (3 day festival in May, sadly now extinct) and then again at B-roo in June '03. He set the place on fire.

My sister, who is coming to the Roo as many of you know, but has yet to actually join inforoo, offered up Andy Gibb and Sean Cassidy as her secretly loved performers. And to all those who love Jason Mraz, I thank you because my girlfriend always makes fun of me for liking him. As for John Mayer...love his music, but I feel he takes himself too seriously and then dates dumb women (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson.) So I put him on my secret list too, as I give him a hard time, but won't turn off his songs. I'm enjoying reading everyone's responses. Here's a big one for me: Scissor Sisters, I own their first album and I'm proud of it.
lol i was too afraid to admit that I get a hankering to listen to "Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake from time to time. Since others have, I'll throw that in as well. hehe.
My favorite Mraz songs are Who need Shelter, The Boys' Gone, Plane and Song for a Friend.

I've seen the movie Grease over 30 times.. I love the entire soundtrack, but have always been especially partial to Stockard Channing/Rizzo's "There Are Worse Thing's I Could Do".
