One of my guilty pleasures... anyone remember Union Underground? (open the floodgates) What ever happened to that band? HAHA... I found the CD last night, rearanging my room , I'm about to pop it in. "An Education In Rebellion".... Let's pop it in... I haven't listened to this since like 2002 or something... I'll post again and tell my thoughts... can't believe I'm doing this...
Edit: Ha, just for a guess of where I was musically back then, the Union Underground cd wasn't even in it's own case... It was in the case for Orgy "Vapor Transmission"
i own both those records, you weren't the only person there at one time....
holy nuts thats a guilty pleasure? man i'm definitely proud of my fondness for C&C...i think they'd be a hit at 'roo along a similar vein as mars volta
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

i love Coheed, they are underrated and unfortunately lumped in with other talentless bands. so many people dismiss them before even giving them a chance.

[glow=red,2,300]I've also been listening to the radio way too much lately. I've been caught singing justin timberlake I am a horrible person!! [/glow]
I've been saying it for years and my friends still make fun of me but i think one day Timberlake will be seen as a pretty cool guy and people will only distantly recall that he used to be a boy band pop singer sex symbol thing....
"...well yeah the guitar is good accompaniment but you can't like compose with it; I mean you can't base a whole song around the guitar." -Bob Dylan 1965
mine too - I'll be singing it for the rest of the day now
Anyone see the Canine Freestyle video with the golden retriever dancing with his owner to this song? It's so cool. If you want to see it, PM me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.
I, too, love the Grease soundtrack and Rocky Horror, oh and Reefer Madness (no official soundtrack released yet, but I made my own) I freakin' love the music in Reefer Madness!
Okay, here's my big confession.... Dashboard Confessional! I'm so sorry! I got into them during a big breakup. I am mostly over them now. I didn't get into the last album at all. But I did go see them last summer. I unabashedly sang along to all the songs while surrounded by teenagers in flip flops and hollywood sunglasses. I'm so ashamed. Don't ban me from the board for this.
I'll admit to really liking Something Corporate for a while too.
Counting Crows doesn't deserve to be on this list at all. Nor does Toad the Wet Sprocket. And Cyndi Lauper is cool too. I listened to the Body Acoustic album a lot. I'm not ashamed of those.
"Stealing? How could you?! Haven’t you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain What’s-his-name? We live in a society of laws. Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn’t hear anybody laughin’, did you? Except at that guy who made sound effects. Where was I? Oh yeah -- stay out of my booze."
I like a lot of the album "Tapestry" by Carole King, and anything that Michelle Branch does (really like the Wreckers)
None of that is bad music, just not something you crank up when you're out with the guys.
Funny you said that......I once got caught listening to Patsy Cline at work. Even though she's a legend, it still isn't exactly "Big Manly Man" music......luckily for me, I also had my STP and Nirvana CD's in the same stack. So my rep was still intact!
