Funny you said that......I once got caught listening to Patsy Cline at work. Even though she's a legend, it still isn't exactly "Big Manly Man" music......luckily for me, I also had my STP and Nirvana CD's in the same stack. So my rep was still intact!
LOL Patsy Cline is a hell of a lot cool than STP....

Seven Mary Three Gin Blossoms Toad the Wet Sprocket Bush Local H Silverchair
They all are fun though pretty lame except Bush which is one of the most underrated bands that ever made any money. Gavin Rossdale was just too hot so the critics said stupid things like the music was "derivative" (all music is derivative....) . I actually think 16 Stone is a better grunge album than Bleach or Nevermind (and i don't believe its "post grunge not matter what Stephen Thomas Erlewine

16 Stone was really good. It went downhill from there IMHO. Razorblade Suitcase had some of the most ridiculously hilarious lyrics I've ever heard.

i saw bush a bunch of times when they were big, one of the really good acts at woodstock 99 was bush ... they were one of the few bands that was there to play music it seemed, not to start a riot ..cr*****

I totally agree. WTF happened to Bush after 16 Stone?
I think Gavin just got too full of himself after 16 Stone's success. He tried to hard to be poetic on Razorblade, and he failed miserably IMO. Now he's passed the "sh!tty music making" torch to his wife Gwen Stephani
Stuckinutero, The Little Ones seem to agree with you about music that gets you going. “We realised that if a song made us move our feet -literally- then it was good. Girl groups, Motown, great pop – the one thing they have in common is that they make you want to dance.”
I am shamelessly touting this band to anyone who will listen. I fell in love with them immediately through an iTunes clip and they have yet to disappoint.
The Little Ones are part of my must see list at Roo. and im sure it will be some mid-day show with no hard to choose conflicts - so yay!
I would confess to enjoying Ace of Base and Lordi.
embarrassing, but my mom used to always sing it to me when i was young. and i love it. so there.
i might be going to the cindy lauper true colours tour this year. and for the record, i think she has a good voice...
and for the record, AC-DC in no way deserves to be on a guilty pleasure list. Mika is great.
I'll throw myself under the bus for also liking Snoop, Notorious BIG, James Blunt, and even a few my chemical romance songs. and whoever sings that song ms murder (is it afi?) - thats a great song.
i could also admit to liking a host of ebm industrial music - ministry, wumpscut, and one, vnv nation, skinny puppy - but i dont think they would be guilty pleasures... same would hold true for my passion for the sisters of mercy and kmfdm

And a few months ago I bought the Say Anything album. Mainly based on the first two singles, but you know, some of these half-emo fringe bands have a little bit of validity. just a little.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
I confess, Wayne Newton Danke Schoen (sp?) makes me grin. Sooooo Vegas.
I have this whole disc of old stuff called "Wild, Cool, and Swingin" Every couple months I put it and sing my heart out. In addition to ole Wayne it's got Louie Prima and Dean Martin and Keely Smith does "What is this thing called love?".... FANTASTIC!!! They just don't do it like that anymore.
Don't hate me but I sorta kinda like Shakira. Although not sure if it's her music so much as her. She's just so...hot, for lack of a better term. And those hips, oh what I would do to be able to move my hips like that

yes! I have a girl-crush on her
Woho! I'm glad I'm not the only one! I watch her music vids kinda obsessively.... is that bad? hehehehe

Can I add to this bands that everyone seems to love, but I can't stand? I gotta say that I really can't stand Bruce Springsteen or Tom Waits(at least Waits' newer stuff). Everyone loves em loves em loves em. I've tried my best but I seriously can't stand to listen to em. I'm sorry. I had to get that off my chest.
Awesome tattoo. Glad I have a fellow Scissor Sisters lover here! Saw them twice in the last 6 months (Hammerstein & MSG) and they were a ton of fun. A few pics from the show:
I love ABBA. I was driving home from work one morning and turned it to the Broadway station on Sirius radio. They played The Winner Takes It All which always makes me cry, and then played The Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. By then I was bawling. Everybody around me at the stoplight was giving me weird looks.
I also can't change the station when Sexy Back (Timberlake) comes on. That song is awesome!
I love Neil Diamond too.
And even though I don't care for Christina Aguilera's music, her voice is incredible, so I'll listen to it anyway.

Don't go hatin' on my STP, now! They're one of my all-time favorites. I would travel far to see them play live.....if they ever get their shite together and went on tour.....
Lets see...hmm, I dont really keep anything secret, but bands that I like that most would be ashamed to admit to:
Dashboard Confessional Maroon 5 Creed Elton John Cold Garth Brooks Avenged Sevenfold Dragonforce Dave Matthews Band OAR Rob Zombie He Is Legend John Mayer Marilyn Manson The Wallflowers Type O Negative Bleeding Through Job For a Cowboy
...lately I've been digging some Early November and From Autumn to Ashes.
I am always embarrassed to tell people that two of my all time favorite concerts that I saw were Michael Jackson(Bad tour) and John Mellencamp(Scarecrow tour). Michael Jackson was bigger than life when I saw him and Mellencamp was playing Little 500 weekend in front of the hometown folks in Bloomington Indiana. I have seen countless show but these two are very memorable.
My other guilty pleasures are: America James Taylor B-52's and Black Sabbath.
