Dub C!! My dad took me to their training camp all the time when they were having training camp at WCU (I was pretty young), and got a ridiculous amount of autographs when they were walking back to the locker rooms (which were MY locker rooms years later when I played baseball for WCU). Oh yeah, I forgot that I've seen a bunch of the guys from Jackass around here. But I mean pretty much everyone that lives around here has seen those guys. Bam's a doosh.

I went to summer camp with Josh Saviano (Paul from the Wonder Years). I've met the Disco Biscuits and moe. And on my flight home from Roo last summer I was sitting right in front of John Bell from Widespread Panic.

i've only ever met dickey barrett from the mighty mighty bosstones.
Dickie's a cool dude. I actually sang a few songs with him on stage (back in the day) at a sold out Electric Factory show in Philly. If I remember correctly, we sang "Very Happy Guy," "Hope I Never Lose My Wallet," and some other song...
The place was going crazy, and all was well... till I decided to do a stage dive. Dickie and Ben Carr egged me on.... Bastards. I'm a bit too big to be turned into a human missile! People tried to catch me, but ultimately, I pretty much got dropped on my head. (That stage is pretty high too!)
ouch! i've never had the opportunity to stage dive, but i'm guessing that's what would happen to me. like in the movies, when the crowd parts like the red sea just before the diver hits the floor. ben has the best job EVER. and btw, that bosstones show was one of the loudest shows i've ever been to. ;D
Back at Cha. Yeah it was 1997 and it was a signing in Detroit RIGHT before a show for Ragnarok I believe? I got to meet Oderus and Beefcake the almighty, when I was 15 lol. Oderus said YEah you can take a picture, in a really hilarious voice, if you hold the cuddlefish. And I did. lol. Sweet show, cool guys. I think they really do smoke crack though however lol. Ever seen their movies?
Nice, I wish I had a picture of me holding the cuttlefish of cthulhu. I think those guys are hilarious. I don't think they smoke crack, however I do know they like their weed. I own every video/album they've ever put out as well as their first album on red vinyl. I told you you won't find a bigger fan.
I was at a party once that Snoop Dogg showed up at for like 10 minutes.
And I ran into Dave Chapelle walking out of a store once. I was too stunned to say excuse me though. I just stared at him like an idiot
AND (this isn't me, but it's a good story) Ashley Judd ran over my dad with a golf cart. Well, not really ran over. More like bumped into with said golf cart

When I was like 12, I went to the Maryland Science Center with my family. As we were in line to get tickets, we noticed Ron Howard (Opie from "Andy Griffith", Richie from "Happy Days, director of "Apollo 13" and "A Beautiful Mind") standing a few feet away. Being an uber movie geek, I was pretty star-struck, and pretty nervous. My mom encouraged me to go up and say something. I introduced myself and told him I really wanted to direct movies, and asked if he had any advice. He told me to watch movies with the sound turned down, to get a feel for all of the other elements that go into making a scene work. He specifically pointed out the opening scene of "Raiders of the Lost Ark". So that was pretty cool.
I've also met several B-list celebrites. My dad's boss used to have these big parties every year, and he'd hire a celebrity guest to come sign autographs and hang out. Some of them included Adam West, Danny Bonaduce, and the original Dennis the Menace.
Also, I met Ben Folds briefly when I got to go up onstage and sing with him, and I've met and chatted with Tom and Andrew from Against Me! several times. Oh, yeah, and I met Matchbox 20 when I was in like fourth grade, and still listened to mainstream rock music of their ilk.
wohoo, my first post here I saw this topic and had to add my Flips story... I had already seen them in June at Roo 07, and then September in Chicago, and was waiting for the Detroit show to start... I was just standing with my 3 friends, having a beer and this big guy walks up to us asking "are you a 4some?" Thinking how weird of a question this was, we reluctantly answered yes... and he preceded to tell us that he had 3 backstage passes left and a pass to dance onstage with the Lips! My best friend went up on stage, we enjoyed the show from a few rows back... afterwards we were walked backstage where we sat on huge couches waiting for Wayne. He talked to all the dancers, then came over to us. He was the nicest guy ever! He took a couple minutes to conversate with each of us... I barely remember what I said, I was so excited to be standing in front of him. I had my Roo shirt on, and he commented on that... then he was going on about how happy I looked (duh..) and how I should keep it up. Then he gave me this huge (and sweaty, totally didn't care though) hug...Other than that, its a blur! Definitely the best night ever though
Other than that, I've met... Jeff Conway (Grease, Celeb Rehab lol) John Butler said hi to me as he walked by before a show (such a dork i am, i know) Jordan Knight (of New Kids) all 4 members of 98Degrees (I was such a teenybopper when I was in middle school lol) Gym Class Heroes (hung out on their bus cuz my girlfriend works for their record label)
I peed standing next to George Clinton and then talked a little bit about music and Shonan Knife while washing our hands.....and no I didnt take a peak.
I've met a good amount of people, but the oddest meeting was Marilyn Manson and Korn. A bunch of friends and I were out in Philly, and we decided to hit Delilah's (a "gentleman's club"). We were told to wait in our limo for a few minutes, and then they brought us in. Afterwards, they closed off the club.
We all found ourselves a booth, and commenced with the dances and shots. My friend went to the bathroom, came back and said, "I just took a leak next to Marilyn fuckin' Manson!" None of us really believed it, but we put 2 and 2 together and found out that Manson and Korn had come into the club after they played a shower at the Electric Factory.
Manson was upstairs in the VIP with Dita Von Teese, and most of Korn was sitting at the bar right next to us. They were pretty quiet guys, surprisingly. Manson is one ugly dude.
So basically, that night, we had a private party with the Family Values Tour. Random, but good times!
