My computer got hit! Someone got through my firewall and loaded a whole bunch of crap onto my computer. So I have no computer for a couple of days. I dropped it off to be debugged, and hopefully, I'll get it back tomorrow or thursday. Fuckers!!!

Supposedly the "checks are in the mail" .... aka....they mailed out the pink slips today.... They are supposed to land on the Commander's desk in the morning, then he decides which peeps are "essential personnel" and which aren't. Any civilian deemed "non-essential" pretty much is getting one from the way I am reading it...DoD or contractor for the Army. Sigh....why do politicians play games like this? Does it REALLY have to come to us actually getting furlough notices??

Mine is a minor GRRRR - I hate my job - been here 3 month - love what I do but am realizing - I don't wanna do it here - these people are stupid - they micro-manage crap, could care less about serving the veterans or doing anything right.
I cannot even get pleading folders ordered without a complete dissertation on why I need them and las week - oh by - you would have thought I had killed someone because I ordered 24 - 3 ring binders to organize medical records in litigation files. (none of this comes from our budget - the hospital pulls from its supplies for us)

Meg....I totally feel you. That's part of the reason why I quit the law firm. It ultimately drove me crazy...one day I just called my mom and told her, "It's either my job or my sanity." So I quit, and now I have an amazing job at Planned Parenthood, doing stuff I actually LIKE
Anyway, on to the GRRs...I HATE FINALS. I have given up. I don't even want to study for my International Relations one. I'm just going to show up and take the test. I'm ready for a break!

thats exactly how i feel. i showed up to my management exam without even attempting to study. just wasn't worth it. my break starts in 4 hours!

I have another one. My sorority had a mixer with my boyfriend's fraternity, where we basically had a 'rave'...we called it "Techno Trance Mixer". Except the stupid t-shirt company messed up, and now we have "Techno Trans Mixer 2007". Ugh. Now it either looks like we can't spell or we can't name our events. I'm not a happy camper

I hate my house. We've lived here 5 years... we rent. The carpet is worn out, the walls are a mess, one bathroom is "out of order", the fridge is iffy, we don't have enough space, my neighbors are 'uncool', and it's just lame.
i am done studying for my finals, spanish tonight and geography tomorrow, if i fail them and lose all my grants and scholarships, oh well, sorry mom, be home for christmas
Well, no letters, but no GWOT money today either I am really surprised this isn't getting more press...I guess it's just the "been there, seen it, got the T-shirt" from the Newt g'ment shutdown of a few years ago, but this could really turn out badly if they don't get off their duffs and get something passed. So move ..write the landlord a letter , Let him Know your complaints. and if not fixed . move out and before you hand him the keys back.. go to the supermarket and get some "fresh whiting fillets" and hide them around the house like behind light switches, under the sink with duct tape. Just about anywhere where you cant see em .. give it a week and that place will smell real awfull... That will teach them to take better care of their rental property's

I really dislike most of the people in my office - the people I deal with in other offices (that I have to deal with to do my job) are incompetent (or maybe I just don't know how to do my job because I had 170 medical collection files dumped on me the second week I was here by an attorney as he walked out the door to a new job - so I am flying by the seat of my pants not know what the F*uck I am doing!)
I have had no training at all on the damn software program I have to use for database management - (have managed to figure out most of it on my own but I have specific questions of "How can I...." and no one seems to know who I should direct those questions to) I cannot get a straight answer out of my boss as to when and how much I can compromise bills for - she says "Oh - let me look at the file - after you gather all this information - and then lets the freakin file sit on the conference room table for 3-4 week before she "gets around to it"
And now I am getting nasty emails from our Biloxi office about me changing a procedure that was already in place when I am not the one that changed the fuckiing procedure - It was changed at the direction of my boss and Biloxi has been told that numerous times but they want to fire off nasty emails to me demanding that I explain - all I did was forward the GD email to my boss - she can deal with the shitstorm

I hate it when these friggin idiots at one of our sites call up and BITCH AND BITCH about how a PC can't access the internet and because they waited until the last minute to do their work it will now be late..
Turns out the dumbass unplugged the switch connecting her PC to the network so she could plug in her cd player.
grrrrrr..
And normally I'd be sympathetic to someone wanting to listen to music.. but... there was.. an open plug... right.. next...to..the one...she...unplugged.......
