I know many who voted Nader and frankly, the result is what we have had for the last 6 and 1/2 years. I don't get how that furthered the Green policies espoused by Candidate Nader or the people that supported him.
Ugh. . .my brother voted for Nader, and I will never forgive him for it!
Well, I voted for Nader and I take offence to that. 1. If nader weren't running then I wouldn't have voted, so Gore lost no votes from me. 2. I voted my concience, not some political game for the lesser of two evils. I felt much better than having to chose between Bush and Gore and then running to the nearist toilet. 3. Gore had the opprotunity to bring the Green Party into his fold by adopting some very reasonable parts of their platform into his, i.e. opposing the death penalty, universal health care etc. Gore declined.
and finally, If a long-time political career maker and former Senator couldn't defeat an idiot oil man's son with no political experience and a dubious past of alcohol and cocaine abuse, maybe he didn't deserve to be president? just a thought.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
I'm with you Stallion. There's no suprise to me that almost every single candidate running is in that upper right hand quadrant. They don't represent shiz but getting re-elected. I voted for Nader and would do it again.
As far as no kucinich in the general election and what i'm gonna do about it. Nothing. I'll dedicate to doing what i can not what I can't. I'm motivated by the change i can make. Not by electing the lesser of two evils.
Gore couldn't even win his home state. I have no guilt about what Bush does because of my vote. Keep supporting status quo candidates who fear standing for something real, and you'll keep getting lame duck candidates who won't do anything about it whilst in office.
What exactly do Democrats stand for and who has the voting record to support it ? Kucinich is the only one who hasn't flip flopped with the polls. Anyone else is bull$hitting you.

Agreed! 100%! BUT.... I believe that my responsibility is to vote FOR THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE.....and that responsibility doesn't end when my opinion of the "most qualified candidate" gets knocked out in the primary. Unfortunately
That would be the nice EASY way out.....but no. I have to continue the process to the end...with the rest of Amerika. I can't leave it up to "THEM" to choose between worser and worst....and take a chance on worst. THEN....once the farce of election is over.....and the worse (hopefully) rather than the worst has won (assuming I can see any difference between the two, which if you HONESTLY can say you can't, then you can be excused....but come on....I think most of us CAN....) THEN is the time to start pushing for REAL CHANGE...not sitting on our butts bitching till the next election.
THAT is the only way to get a REAL change in this country. We can't just care about politics every 4 years, or even every 2......we have to care every day......and let THEM know.....LOUDLY and OFTEN! ;D And in LARGE NUMBERS
(All policiticans are just really repressed accountants....)
I took the quiz and was pretty close to Ghandi (green box in the pic above)
Seeing that there were only 2 presidential candidates in the same box as me, I decided to check these guys out.
So far, I'm really liking Mike Gravel. Since a lot of others on here also placed in the the left/libertarian area, I though you might like to check him out.
I know the smaller candidates rarely make it in the top 3, but how awesome would it be if one did?
