College Football Season Started Tonight!!!! ;D ;D With The SEC on ESPN no less - LSU vs Miss State - watching it now.......MSU is holding their own (one of my best friends is an MSU grad...gotta root for the 'Dogs!) But my heat belongs to the Plains.....War Damn Eagle!!!! ;D Come Saturday it's all about the Orange and Blue - A U B U R N!!!

And I have so many friends that root for the Irish I kinda have a spot for them too....
And troo, well, can't say I root for the Vols often (LOL!) ....but I CAN honestly say that I have ALWAYS been a big Vikings fan...till the Titans came along they were my NFL team... ;D Still my #2 fave in the NFL......

I just wish Penn State could manage a victory over Michigan just once in my lifetime... What's it been... like 14 years honestly I think since we've beat those damn Wolverines...

LOL! Thanks Strum....but you don't have to give me karma for pulling for my alma mater! I think it's part of the graduation oath, or at least the parental guilt trip that came with the tuition payments... Not that I don't love it.....especially since my parents are Bama fans - HEE! Or at least were.....now they have split loyalties....their hearts bleed crimson and their wallets bleed orange and blue - ;D

Oh, I love it! You know, you have a point. I guess I just can't help but pull for the home team. I guess it comes from growing up in the greatest football state in the country with NO pro sports teams... .....and having a brother that's a NY Yankees fan.....I think it's just a backlash thing. The Braves were always decent enough that I could hang in with them but the Falcons were such a joke until recent years there was just no way.....

I couldn't watch anymore - I had to turn it off - I knew if we went into the 2nd half trailing - that it would be all downhill from there.
OK, now I may have to follow Meg's lead....it's getting redonkulous....State was holding in but LSU is just romping now....44-0, going to be 45-0 after the break....it would help if MSU could just put up some points.....sigh. Such a sad thing after such a good start.....have to feel bad for those guys.....but since we got 'em in two weeks hope they don't bounce back TOO fast....
The Panthers should have a good season.... maybe?!?

Me and my brother pull for the Chiefs too, we lived in KC for a few months as kids. Anybody been watching 'Training Camp" on HBO?
My High School Sweetie lives near Charlotte now....still talk to him about once a month or so! He's a Panthers fan.... And one of my bestest friends works in KC....lives in Springfield MO...yeah heck of a commute Works for her though...Never seen Training Camp...just get Basic Cable....

I'm not really into football but, there weather is finally starting to calm the fvck down in Atlanta. So, in that I agree, this is the most wonderful time of the year.
Oh that would be fun! I love road trips and haven't been to Charlotte in a long time. Last time I was there was on business and didn't get to do anything fun.....the Nascar museum - Whoo Hoooo! Might have to mention that to him next time he calls...see what his schedule looks like. he's really cool. Married and adores his kids (tolerates his wife, but then he's gonna tell me any different right? HA!) He did tell me this....and I about DIED...can't imagine anyone else even having the kahunas to do it....he has two little girls. And I remember when I was dating him he had an older brother who was married and when his bro and wife would visit his mom would talk about his bro's high school girlfriend because she REALLY liked her....and it would piss his bro's wife off! Of Course! Well, apparently it was a similar sitch wtih me and my ex-beau and his mom....she apparently talked about me around his wife and kids...not cool. And so did he.....They knew a LITTLE too much about me. Like that I was a cheerleader in High School. Well, of course little girls are always into the whole cheerleader thing at some point early on...so their MOM - Idiot - bought them cheerleader barbie dolls. And not only tolerated, but ENCOURAGED them to name their barbies AFTER ME! What A BEEEYATCH......So when my ex-bf comes home one day his daughters come running up to show him their new "dolls" and told him the name.....luckily he has a wicked sense of humor and actually thought it was hysterical which pissed his wife off who thought he would hate it! I was totally mortified! So I guess I could come visit and see my namesake Barbies.... ;D
LMAO! Yeah....right! I don't think two little girls in NC naming their Barbies after me is a big deal....I think the Taco Bell Dog probably has more Barbies named after him - LOL!
