Haven't listened to it yet but I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned around here. Obviously won't be the best of the month, probably not even top 10 but they're easily one of the best big EDM names
Why is the new album by The National getting hate? I love it.
The National once played the same song 105 times consecutively in a show at MoMA PS1 in New York. IMO, not really too impressive for a band who has played the same song consecutively over the course of a career.
I may get some hate but I really enjoyed the new odezsa album. Won't be AOTM for me but it was a fun listen.
just finished my first listen, came here to see if anyone was talking about it. i am surprised at how much i enjoyed it. i've talked my share of shit about Odesza and their ilk but i'm happy to eat my criticism and admit that new one is a good record.

Glad you like it! I've had a soft spot for odeza for a while so I'm glad to see most people here are liking it.

You son of a bitch
I know. He nailed it with that description, right?

I'm also a fan of the new album, I like Odesza in general though. I don't think they'll ever top Summer's Gone for me, but I like this newest one more than the previous album.

I am going to take it a step further and outwardly admit that I have enjoyed Odesza's previous efforts too (not as, like, "this is fucking good music," but they are GREAT work out music, and I am not ashamed that I listen to them at the gym often). But this new album is really quite neat! I lol-ed (in a "huh, that's weird but cute" way) when I saw they got Regina Spektor on one of their tracks. Overall, a nice listen. Did enjoy
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Enjoyed Odesza more than I thought I would. I'm not a huge fan but it's decent music to put on when I don't want to pay attention to music. Listened to the Rostam album today; it was okay. Really just makes me want to listen to VW.

I have been in training all day so I haven't heard a single album released today. I'm really excited to start checking them out tonight and tomorrow. My current leader is still easily Susanne Sundfor.
Y'all didn't seem to love the Rostam album, but I'm totally digging it. It's crept into my Top 3 so far. I do agree that it's a poor man's Vampire Weekend.
One thing that does make me a little worried, however, is how much will his departure change the overall sound of VW? Listening to a track like "Wood" makes me fear that VW is going to lose a lot of their signature sound without him.
