Friday: Frank Carter > London Souls > Rainbow Kitten > CSH > Rest of Pinegrove > small break > Highly Suspect > Raging with Fidlar > Cage surging forward on In One Ear and No Rest for the Wicked > Good Spot for LCD
Saturday: Flagship > Rest of PATV > The Record Co > Anderson East > S&R > rest of Revivalist > Dr Dog > Moon Taxi > X Ambassador > XX > CSH aftershow
Sunday: Cloud Nothing > Said Motel > J Roddy > Third Eye> Bleachers (don't know which one to split) > Ryan > Phoenix
5/11 - KOL, Deerhunter, Nat Ratliff - My own pre party and yes I am pissed FIDLAR is that night too 5/12 - Shaky Knees best day followed by what?? Maybe Highly Suspect or Wolf Parade 5/13 - Worst day of SK - but Dr Dog, Shovels and Rope and a Carseat Headrest aftershow is not bad at all 5/14 - Nice day to end this thing
I am really looking forward to this. I now really want the schedule.
I'm only going to go on sunday so I like your mock. I just feel Sunday Main Stage is way too stacked. It works perfectly for my taste but it would lead to a jam packed area all day at Main stage IMO.
Thanks for taking the time to do it
same
If bleachers and misterwives were switched on this schedule - I might main stage camp it all day
Here's my preliminary attempt. I just kind of fucked around with the third stage schedule. On Saturday I tried to set it up so Mumford/xx/1975 would all be on the main stages. Personally I think they did a kind of shitty job setting up this lineup. Obviously not all their fault, but each day definitely has a kind of distinct flavor (Friday = critical darlings, Saturday = indie pop, Sunday = heavier rock) and now that there are conflicting sets it means there's bound to be some bad scheduling.
Question - this will be my first year attending Shaky Knees and I was wondering how long of a wait/line is it to get inside the festival grounds? I got a hotel right across the street from the entrance and was wondering the feasibility of being able to leave and re-enter the fest grounds if I went back to my hotel for a bathroom or fuel up break. On the Shaky Knees website it says we are allowed 3 in and outs a day.
I've never waited to get in. But I also never leave and come back. One of the nicer features of the fest is they go crazy overboard with the portos so if you don't have any issue with using one I say tough it out.
Oh for pete sakes the man wants to get drunk on the cheap
its becoming clear to me that I am going to have 8+ hours of enjoyable music (for my tastes) a day and still be pissy I have to miss stuff. Nothing mindblowing, but a lot of good bands on this lineup
exactly. thats what the people on FB/reddit bitching about the people who dont like the lineup need to understand.
I was excited to discover the Coachella lineup, I made spotify playlists with 5 songs from every artist. I have no desire to do that with the FF lineup.
But I think the consensus with my group is to head down Friday afternoon and leave early on Sunday to minimize PTO. I'll have more fun hanging out drinking and playing games at camp and going in at 6 than seeing no name bands and spending money inside the fest.
Any time people are trying to minimize there time at a fest and it doesn't seem like a bad idea, things have gone significantly wrong on the bookings
I've spent my entire day in fear of being Sasquatch'd, so I came up with this, which is part hope, part fear
The Weeknd - LCD Soundsystem - 21 Pilots - Chance the Rapper The Flaming Lips - The XX - The Lumineers - Lorde - Flume - The Shins - Animal Collective - Dillon Francis Head and the Heart - All American Rejects - Glass Animals - Future Islands - Galantis - Tory Lanez- Young the Giant Big Gigantic - Silverson Pickups - Phantogram - Michael Franti - Sigur Ros - Vince Staples - Needtobreathe - Illenium STRFKR - Claude VonStroke - Misterwives - Banks - Lil Dicky - Galactic - The Revivalists - Jagwar Ma - Capital Cities - The Strumbellas Francis and the Lights - Rainbow Kitten Surprise - Matoma - Foreign Air - Manic Focus - Judah and the Lion - Ganja White Night - White Panda
Just threw up in my mouth
For the record this made me throw up in my mouth and it ended up being substantially better than the final lineup
For my tastes shaky knees won the undercard battle and Boston calling won the headliners battle. Going to both.
Going for muse day to FF. That's it. It is so easy for me. I have a hotel reserved on points. It's a simple straight 2 hour drive. And I have no idea how I would fill a full 3.5 days at this. Discovery is fun. But it shouldn't be 3/4 of the event

Man you stacked the fuck out of Sunday! Lol
Can we please have this - I accept - right now - done - take my money
And I accept the clashfinder too - some conflicts but would be the best fest of the year (to me) and a really good showing by FF
Possible other bands not in your undercard - Bleachers and J Roddy Walson
I feel bad for anyone who came to Firefly 2015 as their first festival experience, or even their first Firefly experience.
If you did 2015 right, you coulda had a wild Friday, which I did have. Knox Hamilton --> Logic (friends wanted to)--> Walk the Moon--> End of Cage--> Odesza--> Morrissey--> Macca
This is almost exactly correct but it should say Manchester Orchestra > first 40 min of Cage > Awolnation > Modest Mouse > Macca > continuously advancing on Macca as idiots left for Zedd
I still choose to believe Firefly has what it takes to pull an impressive lineup - so here goes my mock before they crush my dreams and Twenty One Pilots headlines all 4 nights:
Pearl Jam ~ Muse ~ Chance the Rapper ~ The Chainsmokers The National ~ ShitzyPopEdm ~ John Mayer ~ HAIM ~ The Offspring Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds ~ Blood Orange ~ St Vincent ~ Akon Brandon Flowers ~ The War on Drugs ~ Lynryd Skynrd ~ EDM of some sort
so you are guessing firefly has the best lineup of the year?
don't get me wrong, bring that on, but talk about shooting for the moon with the depressing bunch of line-ups that have been released
