i feel like there cant be a lot pf people who are fans of both Andrew McMahon and Sigur Rios
There are a few other good acts on bill - but some of them I have seen and don't need to again - or I would rather take the chance with a different act at their respective billing - ie I will take whoever firefly has at #1 over Mumford.
I will take Andrew at 1:00 pm and Sigur at 1:00 am please
Enjoyed this thing even though I was not the demo. For the stuff that interested me most, white dudes with guitars there was like no one at the stages. Which made me realize I am not in the cool club I guess but was a great way to get front row ticket to a bunch of bands I like at minimal effort. In all honesty with the demo they have I if anyone was walking around and taking notes they would just say screw it, no Aaron West, Basement, Touche Amore, or anything of that ilk at all. Waste of a timeslot/stage. But I hope they don't cause worked for me.
Crowd way into selfies for me but all in all I thought this was a fun fest, and easy for me to get to. Wish I had gone before and would go again. I have to say since I saw it to camp for Coldplay, Chance the Rapper is an actual talent. I don't mind being impressed from outside my genre. Also, Carseat Headrest. I am a fan.
Someone help - I am going to this as a white dude that likes white dudes with guitars mostly. Am going because I can. Will see Rihanna/Coldplay for sure. After that my list of for sures all hit Sunday - Basement - Aaron West - Gary Clark - Ed Sharp - Kevin Devin
Have seen Into It Over It which was fine but not great. Any suggestions for Saturday would be appreciated. I don't mind expanding my horizons but wouldn't mind something that I will for sure enjoy Sat. I have done little research.
I'm not saying it was the right decision, but it was definitely a reasonable one.
Agreed. Evacuation would have been a nightmare, and Kanye fans would still be angry because its very likely that it will storm all through his proposed set time.
Besides, its nots like it was the festivals decision to cancel
The death cab fans would have been put out too. But I think they would have been sad, not angry
Know it's not their fault, but zero chance I'd buy a ticket next year on blind faith that the weather will be good. This time of year has just proven to be too unpredictable.
Co-sign
Until I forget and love the lineup and buy my ticket to chance away the winter blues. Always a sucker for a good lineup. but this featival may be cursed for me
I getting angry. 2013 when I deserved a refund - nothing. This year when it was not needed I am getting one. 2 gov balls. Both involving Ye and 2 semi disasters.
I know. But summer jam canceled too. Something is coming. It also wasn't up to GovBall. It's NYC Parks. It sucks, I know but it is what it is. Keep on the look for pop up shows with GovBall discounts.
Yeah. But amtraked in from out of state and now leaving NYC in 13 min. Shout out to airbnb, black pistol fire, the strokes, beck, against me, against me aftershow, and jalapeño corndogs. It was still worth it. But I could uses some fidlar and Courtney Barnett right now
Soooooooo....when do we exactly worry about the weather? Excuse me if i'm worried, but my only other experience of this particular festival is 2013. Lol.
Same. However I am happy I was there. Terrible feat experience but a fantastic story
Maybe but when I saw this thing I thought someone was trying something a little different. Maybe less bands but high-quality or very interesting or rarer finds And then I hoped as they were brought in that they would be given long times to play. Kind of like the idea. Full sets from LCD and Kendrick with nearly full sets from Sia and the national is a pretty good place to start
If all this ends up being is short sets that overlap well that kind of sucks
I don't know why people have the impression this has less bands. Maybe because the font on the poster is small? For a comparison this only has 4 fewer acts than Gov Ball. If it's scheduled the same, headliners should have an hour forty five min or so. But then it still brings up the worry over conflicts.
Weird. But it seems like gov ball has way more acts. If they only do 3 stages though they will have shorten set times relative to gov ball
Counterintuitive but if this thing doesn't sell well it becomes more and more desirable to go to for me

Why would you think this was going to be different than every other festival?
Hoping and direct competition from governors Ball made me think somebody might try something different
Don't all fests have short set times? Bonnaroo doesn't even have longer sets for the most part anymore.

Also to state the obvious they can come out with the schedule that showed arcade fire LCD and Kendrick with two hour plus sets and a great ordering job with no real conflicts or at least if there are with only genre conflicts and this thing would look pretty good pretty fast
With this fest I feel like it's the opposite of normal. There are really really good acts but not many and we know nothing about the fest. I am unwilling to pull the trigger until I see the schedule. If there are like 2 conflicts important to me I am out. Normally I just buy and hope. But not here
