I have governors Ball experience but it was during the rainstorm of 2013
I have Firefly experience but there are unopposed headliners
If I want solid position for the strokes or the killers Solid meaning being able to be part of any moshing toward the front Center top 25 people back or so, do I have to go to the act before and stay at the main stage for the entire hour 15 break or is it possible to catch some of say Bloc party leave early and get back?
It really drives me insane that Lolla can release schedule 3 months out, but Gov Ball/Firefly cant do it till what 2 weeks to go?
The difference is Lolla sells out in seconds every year. Gov Ball/Firefly do not.
The schedule for both have been done for months. But they time the release of it so that way it can be used as a marketing ploy.
If you are really impatient, much of the schedule has already been cobbled together based on the Reddit AMA. I would go back a few pages and look for that clashfinder.
I get what happens - but at some point you have to reward and let the 45K people that have bought tickets already firm up their schedules rather than chasing the last 5K. I do like what they did with the AMA and it is a way for the diehards to get some info without them releasing anything official. Mostly I am just impatient and I like the clashfinder, but think the real thing should be release a month prior at the latest
I'll mention what I did last year again, I went to the J Roddy aftershow on Saturday night at Brooklyn Bowl. We left Ryan Adams pretty early, still got to Brooklyn Bowl around midnight. J Roddy didn't go on until around 1:15 if I remember correctly.
Kinda disappointed in these aftershows. I was led to believe there'd be a Robyn aftershow!
So if I see the strokes the whole way through. Can I make against me?
Didn't the AMA Reddit pretty much reveal most of the schedule? I believe the clashfinder is like 90% accurate, at least for the late afternoon on anyway.
It for sure did. There is some undercard stuff I want to see how it is sorted out and one or two things from the AMA I guess I just don't want to be true
In the past years they did have special aftershows of people on the lineup (Damon Albarn, Earl & Tyler, DJ sets by Deadmau5, Big Gigantic and FlyLo).
BTW, can somebody share the secret on how to squeeze in aftershows between three full festival days? In particular on how to maintain the energy and not be exhausted.
Do a lot of blow I guess?
I honestly don't know. Taking a look at the lineup if I had to guess who might be doing after shows I'd pick M83, Jamie XX, Chet Faker, Matt & Kim. Eagles Of Death Metal confirmed they were playing the Warsaw on 6/4 but I don't see it listed officially on Ticketweb.
Main problem is that if you want to stick around to see the headliner, unless the aftershow doesn't start until midnight it's tough to swing both. Even getting down too Webster Hall/Irving Plaza can take 45 min from Randalls.
I noticed this. This is my second gov ball and have not done aftershows. I looked at timing last year and wondered how is it even possible. Not missing a headlining set and Loke you said it's 45 min if you all hauling. So why have a show that does not start at at least midnight?
This is probably close and is already making me sad - Friday is a little too stacked for me. Moving M&K, Block Party or FJM to Saturday would help so much
I think he's just referencing it to say it's not too early to release daily lineup considering Firefly has released theirs and it takes place two weeks later.
I personally can't imagine them teasing this unless it was coming soon. I'll guess it drops tomorrow and single days go on sale Friday.
No way, they keep talking about how passes are selling quickly. At this point I bet they are hoping to not have to sell single days.
That's what he was referencing yes
I'm thinking they want to try to sell out of three days or sell out the whole fast before panorama releases anything
Have a 1 pass to sell for exactly what I paid pre-sale of $274.59 - I will either give you control of my FF account - after purging info or I will change my address to yours so that it ships straight - I don't want either side to pay stub hub
PM me if you want it - paypal only - I can send copy of my confirmation of tickets - buy a copy is below

Same. It's not great. It's good enough considering its close. Lineup leaves a lot to be desired but it's close and at the right price to be superior relative to hassle off other fests futher away
<Edit> I think the lack of interest is really just that there isn't enough to complain about yet. Lineup was here a month ago, everyone already had the time to digest that.
I think it is exactly that. There really is nothing to complain about...unless you want to talk about the water situation.
I'm still contemplating going to Bonnaroo, but it's hard for me to beat the two hour drive for a lineup that is starting to look better and better. Roo would have to blow FF away for me to switch.
Finished the mock schedule. I'll fully admit my familiarity with much of the lineup past the top.... 30 or so acts is pretty spotty. There are several spots where I really hadn't a clue and just had to go by billing order. Saturday's early main stage was rough. I feel like I actually knew last year's lineup better. Anyway, fire away
Note: I was lazy and just edited last year's which is why it says 2015 in the weblink
A - nice job
B - I think I need to adjust the medication I don't have. I am already getting anxiety over conflicts that are based on one speculative mock based on very little information
C - getting the struts and Civil twilight in the 1pm range would be great - I love a good 1:00 show - and yes I am looking at you Andrew McMahon
D - the Moon Taxi/Nat Rat/Ellie G possibility is making me sad
E - the Tame/Luda/Disclosure into KOL has flashbacks to Sublime/Cudi/Chainsmokers dilemma which also lead into KOL - so bring a poncho if this happens.
Thursday: Two Door Cinema Club Friday: Kings of Leon Saturday: Flo + The Machine, Deadmau5 Sunday: Mumford
Where did this come from? Also, if true when is someone doing one of those cool mock schedules? What is taking so long? I need to waste more time at work.
Bruce Springsteen - Mumford & Sons - Kendrick Lamar
Green Day - Kanye West - Florence + The Machine
Metallica - Drake - Muse
Elton John - Mumford and Sons - The Weeknd - Skrillex
would be cool with all of these
Bruce. Mumpsons. Kendrick feels exceedingly possible. Since I am a fan of white dudes with guitars I would be ok with it. Could possible see either KOL or Flo in the Kendrick spot with the EDM and hip hop in line 2 like 2015 was
