Yeah...UCLA pretty much played a dumb game there and should've been beat for it. If A&M had run some plays instead of playing ISO and taking jump shots for 10 minutes, they would have.
"Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us." — Charles Bukowski

This is the craziest tournament I can remember, ridiculous. 8 blocked shots, crazy. Also saw the end of the Standford game, that was madness too. I still think UCLA will win, if they can get by when their two shooters are off, i have faith.

I am kicking ass in my bracket at work, I am so giddy, I never do well with these things, it has been really hard not to count my chickens before they hatch.
^^^Yeah...you got to watch out for those regionals. Last year, I nailed almost everything in the first two rounds and almost nothing in the last ones...
Ashley, I would like to say, as an Aggie-hatin Texas fan, that you guys were robbed tonight. A&M shoulda won that game, and as badly as it would have effed up my bracket, I actually was cheering for your team.

thanks man. i mean, honestly, i think most of us aggies just wanted to put up a fight. we did that, and there's definitely nothing bad i can say about our boys...i'm proud of them.
i just wish one of the officials would have had the guts to call a foul there at the end.
sorry but its good they let them play in the last 9 seconds. it was a good play. a&m lost the game when the ucla defense closed down in the last 10 minutes. i dont know how anoyone can say anything bad about kevin love. the dunk was nothing. the game was already over. go ucla.

um, no, the game was NOT over. with free throws it was easily going to overtime. and you can't look at those pictures and say its not a foul. A&M earned that win, and it was taken away. we played better than ucla all night, and our defense was amazing.
the game was over. he was on a break with noone around. the red light went off as the ball came out of the bottom of the net. the pictures may show it was a foul but in real time it didnt look like one. it was a good play and good the refs let them play. sorry your team didnt win but ucla showed determination to win that game. their defense allowed them to get back in the game.

How 'bout them Spartans? What did I tell you guys? That was a hell of a game to sit and watch at the bar after I got out of work. Nietzel was HUGE for the Spartans. That boy isn't bowing out quietly. Bring on Memphis!

i'm not sure which game you were watching, but that foul was obvious and should have been called. A&M fought too hard and played too good to be robbed of at least the chance of free throws.
and what are you talking about with the red light? the ball was "blocked" as sloan went up for our last shot, and then ucla had plenty of time to run down the court and slam dunk it before the buzzer went off. we should have had the chance of free throws, plain and simple. we played with more heart than ucla, a team that should have walked all over us.
how is ucla the weakest 1 seed. if you watch them you'd know that they're about the defense. good teams find ways to win.
They're the weakest 1 seed because I've seen UNC, Kansas and Memphis play and those teams are better. I also consider Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin better teams. Of those teams I mentioned, the only team with weaker talent than UCLA is Wisconsin. The others have much better talent on their roster.
UCLA plays defense, but they don't necessarily play it as well as they have the past two seasons. The strategy of playing half court offense against an A&M team who has no real offensive system and relies on slowing the game down was incredibly arrogant of UCLA and typifies they're play all season long. They play down to opponents, and too often, they rely on bad officiating calls to win tight games.
So THAT'S why I consider UCLA the weakest 1 seed. I'm not saying, by any means, that UCLA is a bad team. I just think they got the easiest path to the final four by drawing the weakest 2, 3 & 4 seeds. And I think there are 6 teams better than them. 7th best is pretty good. Worse teams have made the final four before...

sorry, but ucla did NOT outplay us.
all you do is have to survive. and all i meant was the dunk was when the game was over. i watched the game, at least what they showed after the pitt game. they did outplay ucla for the first half and first 10 mins of the second half but you have to play a full game. it may have been a foul but it wasn't called. they let them play. sorry your team lost but ucla kept fighting and won the game. that's all that matters.

i know how a game works. its not as if i think any amount of complaining will change the outcome. but we outplayed them for most of the game. we missed key free throws, and easy shots under the basket. but the bottom line is, a game should never be decided by a blown call, and it was. it SHOULD have been called. was it? no. can i change that? no. but i sure as hell can be pissed about it.
and for the record, yes, i am biased because its my team. but i've been just a sickened by multiple games this season that were decided by what was obviously a horrible call by the officials. ucla may be the better team overall, but last night, they were NOT. A&M lost that game. ucla did not win it.
