Just curious if there are any pro wrestling fans out there. I've been watching wrestling since the mid 80's. Dont watch it as much anymore but I love watching the old school (80's, 90's and early 2000's) wrestling dvds.
believ it or not - I used to watch it in high school when the Von Erics wrestled and then Boz got me into watching it also but lately it gets really bloody and I am sooo not into that but I do like the Rock, Stone Cold, Kane and The Undertaker
I'm not going to lie, I watched Ric Flair's retirement ceremony last night. AWESOME!!! The original Four Horsemen, Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat, Greg Valentine, um ... pretty much everyone came out to the ring.
My roommate also dragged me to a bar to watch Wrestlemania Sunday. Awful. Just awful.
I'll admit that I watched way back when I was little in the 80's and early 90's. I stopped watching some time before the Stone Cold generation. I remember I was a big fan of the Ultimate Warrior. I look back and wonder what the hell I was thinking. He's like a political activist now.
I went to a live event at the Centrum one time, and my buddy got licked by one of the Bushwackers.
Yeah, I still watch it occasionally. Living in Memphis, you really can't get away from seeing Jerry Lawler everywhere. But, yeah, I watched wrestling a lot more when I was a kid than now. And, yeah, Ric Flair's retirement ceremony was the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Just seeing the Four Horsemen back together brought back some memories. Too bad Dusty Rhodes didn't show up and they could beat him down just like the old days! ;D
i don't watch any wrestling anymore, yet lately ive found myself watching ufc and elitexc...i think i go so tired of the fake wrestling i'm intrigued when it is real.
I follow it loosley now but I used to really into it. But I did watch Ric Flair's last match and the retirement ceremony and I'll admit, I did get a little choked up. It's hard to imagine wrestling without him. He was the first wrestler I ever met when I was a kid, the first wrestling action figure I ever had, and the first wrestler I really liked.
I'm one of the biggest wrestling fans you're likely ever to meet... I aspire to train to be one of those guys, and have been a fan since I can remember, literally.
If I were to try to explain how much I love wrestling, it'd be a page long at least.
Let me put it this way; My 2 favorite things in this world other than people are music followed very closely by wrestling.
Favorite wrestlers of all time: Owen Hat Shawn Michaels Bret Hart Steve Austin Ric Flair Randy Savage Curt Hennig Nick Bockwinkel Alex Shelley Bryan Danielson The Great Sasuke Kenta Kobashi Chris Benoit Dynamite Kid
I could go on for pages, as I've said, so I'll stop now.

I haven't seen a wrestling program that emotional and moving since the Owen Hart tribute show the night after he fell to his death.
^Classic... the local record shop likes to play this one, it always gives me a good chuckle. Also, if you haven't yet, there is an album that came out in the late 80s with the same concept as that one, but it's called "Wrestlemania: The Album." Some of the worst music I've ever heard in my life.
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo
^Which is awesome... I always forget it's on, but when I watch it, it's thoroughly entertaining. Has Bockwinkel, Scott Hall, Hennig, Gagne, Ray Stevens, and a young Shawn Michaels... awesome show.
And don't forget Stan "The Lariat" Hansen!! When he hits that lariat, it looks like it would take your head off. Yeah, down here in Memphis, Lawler was always the big fish in a little pond, but just about everybody at one time or another has come through this area: Bockwinkel, Harley Race, Flair, Bruiser Brody, Hansen, Austin Idol, the list goes on and on. And Memphis is where Vince McMahon first started doing his evil Mr. McMahon character. Ah, memories of Monday nights at the Mid-South Coliseum.
I went to Survivor Series in Philly a while back... Have also been ringside a bunch of times. Got in a yelling match with the A Train on TV during Raw... LOL. I was banged up and yelling to him that I was the REAL TRAIN!!! haha...
Also, I saw the humble beginnings of one of the best wrestling promotions ever: E C F*CKING DUB! I was actually asked by the "Superfan" to go train with them, but after seeing some of their matches, I declined. That would have been some sick sh!t though! I met a ton of wrestlers back then, including Mick Foley (when he was still Cactus Jack), the Steiners, all of the Guerreros (the dad said that I looked like a boxer lol), Stevie Richards, SABU, Benoit, Malenko, Sandman, Taz, Public Enemy, Mikey Whipwreck, etc... Classic stuff.
LOL, I got into a yelling match with Tony Chimmel, the ring announcer, at a show here in Cola a few years back... a friend of mine who I had no idea was even at the show called me while I was yelling at him (friend was in the second tier of seats, I was first row) and said "dude, Ty, was that you yelling at the ring announcer? You grabbed the attention of just about everyone in the audience"
I was like "Yessssssss!!!!" edit: Moe, wtf happens to your karma all the time??? You were at like 100 not too long ago... here have some, fellow wrestling mark/Bonnarooian.
lol i used to love wrestling..and when they came to town, i would beg my dad to get us tickets and we got front row like 3 times!! my fav. wrestler was Jeff Jarrett...now i think back and think how dumb i was lol

IMO, Wrestlemania was pretty f'n far from awful. Maybe watching it at a bar sucked, but this Wrestlemania is widely heralded as one of the best of the past 15 years.
haha... I was yelling at Chimmel too, and he told me to go f*ck myself. I smiled and gave him the thumbs up. He laughed. I'm not an angry guy, but I can play the role!
For my karma.. Who in the hell knows. Apparently someone spends way too much time hitting the smite button on me. Who cares though. Haters will be haters.
Ah... Speaking of Jeff Jarrett: He was wrestling at one of the EC Dub events that I was at, and I started yelling "to be the man, you've gotta beat the man" at him. (He and Flair don't get along at all) He got so pissed. "I DID BEAT THE MAN!!!" I ragged the hell out of him, and he did get angry! haha... I would have put his ass in the triangle choke if he came by me! Good thing he stayed on the other side of the ring! I was sitting ringside with no barricade! haha

I actually think he told me to "go fuck myself" as well. I also vividly remember him yelling at me "I'm sorry, I don't speak Redneck." Everyone booed... but, yeah, wrestling's a big play afterall, except we can be involved directly... He was good at playing heel ring announcer, and I loved playing along.
