We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Opened up one of my two bottles of Westbrook's Mexican Cake from this year and while it is still delicious, it has almost no spice to it. By the end of the bomber it had turned into a dark chocolate bomb.
Also picked up a bomber of Cigar City's Marshal Zhukov imperial stout and my regular bottle shop gifted me a fan of a Veil/Evil Twin combo called Fried Fried Chicken Chicken. Both of which I am quite excited to try.
Now brewers are trying to get their beers off of RB and RB is refusing and all manner of things are going on
Wow, I hadn't heard any of that. Disappointing, as I really like RB and have used it as a resource for something like 15 years. I guess I can't blame someone who is basically doing something for free (I assume RB has never raked in a lot of cash, maybe a bad assumption?) for taking a bunch of money from a big company, but I hate the fact that it had to be AB-InBev.

I got two bottles in a trade a month or two back. The first was just pretty good (maybe I had had a few too many beers beforehand), but the second bottle lived up to all the hype!

Ever check out Beer Advocate?
Yeah, never spent much time there. I'm comfortable with Ratebeer after using it for so long, but I'll probably migrate over to Beer Advocate now. Looks like a great resource, just not the one I'm used to.
Unrelated beer content: I just tried Anderson Valley Briny Melon Gose for the second time. I didn't hate it like the first time, when I had no idea what I was in for (Roo 2016). I've found some goses and other sour beers I like since then, but it's still way too salty or something for me to really enjoy it.
Link to part one and two of a story released yesterday and today regarding Saw Works Brewing in Knoxville. I had no idea about all the mess that was going on with them. I had noticed the decline in their tap presence around town, but I thought that it was just because they were focusing on store retail sales.

Cokes, I’ve had a few brews from Clown Shoes that were all pleasant. Nothin’ fantastic though.
I managed to snag the second to last 4-pack of Bell’s Black Note imperial stout from Total Wine tonight. Had a buddy share a bottle from last year with me a few months ago and it was damn near the best stout I’d ever had!
Same guy also gave me a bottle of Funky Bhudda’s Maple, Bacon, Coffee Porter which I finally dove into last night. And holy fuck was it one of the top five beers I’ve ever had! Everythin’ one could want from a breakfast beer. Constellation Brands just bought them out so I know they’ll see wider distribution, I just hope the beer doesn’t change too much.
Any one in here get some of Founders’ Canadian Breakfast Stout? I managed to snag two bottles so far and might try fer a third on Monday. Have heard the bottles taste better than the draft so far.

I got a couple of bottles too, haven't opened one yet though.
Brewery near my work came out with a triple IPA that's dry hopped 12 times. Comes in over 11% abv. Has five different hop varieties in it.
Sounds tasty! I love IPAs!
stinky, I opened up one of my CBS bottles the other night. Absolutely delicious! I foolishly fell asleep with a little less than half the bottle left and it still tasted great the next day.
But I really hope that Funky Buddha isn’t yankin’ my chain on The Facebook. They start NC distro this month, and also release their delightful Maple Bacon Coffee Porter this month. The’ve told me twice there may be a “surprise” comin’ this way.

Still haven't opened mine, but I got one for my brother and had some of his, it was everything I ever wanted
